Usually the last sea day.  Chocolate fountain, lots of shrimp, special carving stations, have all been seen on my last cruises.    They no longer do it in the MDR, it's up in the Oceanview Cafe.

Not sure if it’s a cutback or a glitch but, the Extravaganza Lunch today on Reflection was a big disappointment. With the exception of the chocolate fountain line-up, a couple of fruit carvings and a couple extra cakes, it was just a plain old buffet. Not a single shrimp to be found.

  2. Fascinating thread. Wine is indeed subjective and the difference in one’s preference is sometimes more about style rather than “quality” or price. Case in point - being the selection in Blu. I haven’t the least interest in “big” (far to often meaning fruit and oak driven) cabs or oaky (As in Cal or Aus) chards. My preference leans toward old world wines where the fruit is less pronounced and the use of oak is far more judicious. Such wines are not to be found on Blu’s list but limited selections of such style we’re available at one or two other locations on the ship. (We’re presently on Reflection and the Blu sommelier was kind enough to acquire some simple red Bordeaux and a pleasant Petit Chablis - neither of which are expensive wines - from other nearby bars).

That said, from the description you provided of your preferences, my guess is you’ll find wines in the Premium package price range which will suit your tastes but those wines may not be available in all bars or restaurants. It may take some sleuthing as well as some respectful negotiation to acquire wines to suit your tastes.

We did the special Indian feast dinner in Sushi on 5, it was excellent (although I'm not the best judge of Indian food). this was on Reflection in early December - check it out.

Although we’ve only been to India once for a week to Goa, we spent 3 years in Riyadh, KSA,  where there was a very large Indian expat community and many (although modest) very good Indian restaurants. Consequently, we’re pretty picky about Indian food and are generally quite happy with what we find on these Celebrity ships.

I do like club soda, just wish I could downgrade the package but I suppose because my husband would keep his package it is unlikely that mine could be changed.

Can you bring on sparkling water  for ports do you know?

I'll defer to the more experienced cruisers to answer this in reference to ports visited. I believe you are allowed to bring on a case at embarkation.

yummi! is this roomservice  pizza? thanks for the review btw!!!

No, this is the Oceanview Cafe (the buffet). They make it fresh right in front of you - always 3 or 4 selections from which to choose. So far I’ve had Chicken Pesto, Spinach and Mushroom, Meat Lover’s, Margherita, BBQ chicken and Pepperoni.

Okay, if that is the case then upon boarding go to Blu and let them know she would prefer Indian fare and if you would like it every night or which nights specific... still will be no problem, I Am sure.

    bon appetit and bon voyage

I agree with Bo. They’re very  accommodating. Param asked us the next night if we wanted anything “extra” with our meal but I gratefully declined as I’m running woefully short of notches in my belt.

Thanks. Anyone have an idea what the Murano lunch menu is?

Mains are lobster tail, monkfish, filet or lamb chops. The ridiculous app makes it impossible to take a screenshot of the full menu. Appetizers are crab salad, beet salad, celery root soup, seared scallops and mushroom risotto.

The cameras are usually for sale at the Photo Gallery counter on deck 5. Thanks! We're looking at upgrading our camera to a higher end Cannon. I know Cannon sells much better ones than offered on the ship, but for our purposes the DSLR's they offer fit the bill and we don't need to reach for our credit card.😜

This is the only thing they had resemling a DSLR:

  9. Wonderful surprise in Blu, last night. On a previous cruise a vegetarian couple seated next to us were sharing a very nice vegetable curry, a dish of which we asked for and shared as an accompaniment to our entrees. I asked our waiter last night is such a dish might be a available. He asked if I was vegetarian and I explained the purpose of the request. He returned to report that the dish was not available on this evening. Shortly after delivering our entrees however, he returned to the table with a plate if pakoras, papadums and pickles, a bowl of lamb curry and another of curried eggplant for our party of six to share. All three dishes were delicious!

The gentleman’s name is Param and he’s from India. An absolutely wonderful waiter who remembered everyone’s name from the previous evening and has a remarkable talent for catering to all the small details. It’s people like this that make a cruise special. I’ll certainly by filling out a comment card for him.

(Sorry, we dove into the dishes before I remembered to take the pictures.)

Can you please post what cameras they currently have for sale along with pricing please? We'll be boarding in March with a bunch of OBC-N to use up. Thanks, and I also totally understand if you don't want to waste valuable vacation time finding out.

Is there a single camera store (sorry, I’ve never really paid attention)? If so, I’ll take a peak.
