Here's the response I received from my expiring Cruise Next Certificates -- expire date Dec 2022.
"Good day,
Just to clarify, we don’t change the expiry date on the certificates when we extend for a sailing past the expiry date. We are only extending the valid sail to date in order for it to be applied to the reservation. If you would like to wait until closer to the expiry date to book in order to see what happens with covid, then you do have until 12/28/2022 to book something in either 2023 or 2024. But we wouldn’t be changing the expiry date at any time, that stays the same (unless NCL decides to extend for all guests holding CNDs systematically).
If you make a reservation for 2024 and cancel it after the expiry date, the deposit(s) would be lost as they would be expired. However, you may move the sailing to a closer date as long as you are not in penalty and the deposit would stay on the existing reservation.
I hope this clears up any confusion you may have.
Best Regards,
CruiseNext-Kelly"
Is there Really a Cruise Next Kelly??

Extension of Previously Issued Future Cruise Credits
To further support our guests, we have extended the "book by" date for previously issued FCCs. Any current and active Future Cruise Credits, CruiseNext certificates and CruiseFirst certificates originally set to expire in 2021 have been extended. The "book by" date for these credits and certificates is now December 31, 2022. Note all certificates will retain their Sail By dates, which is for sailings departing on or before December 31, 2022.
For example: FCCs issued in July 2020 had a book by date of July 2021. The new "book by" date is December 31, 2022.
Active coupon classes that have been extended include:
- Peace of Mind FCCs
- Suspension Payment FCCs
- Discount FCCs from previous suspensions
- CruiseNext
- CruiseFirst
- All FCCs created as a result of ship incidents and goodwill gestures
- Displacements
N4W U R my best friend----Please tell me where you found this- I hope to save my two certificates! Thank you very much!!

I sailed Encore 1/19/2020 for 7 days and had the free at sea that came with 3 specialty meals.
They've made the change since the pandemic began which is a little disappointing but not really a big deal. We've always enjoyed the mdr's and will continue to do so when we sail Joy 1/15/2022.
I have learned that they made the change so more people can enjoy the specialty restaurants. We also enjoy the MDR and people watching! Thanks!

Specialty dining promo for a 7 night cruise has gone from unlimited uses to 4 uses to 3 uses to the current 2 uses in the past 6 years or so.
Thanks for the info---i remember 3 out of 7 nights- Good deal-------Internet and excursions-add ons to the package is not needed or used--but they cut the Dining night by one! Good information for everyone! Thanks

But if your status with NCL is Platinum or higher you should get another 2 dinners in either Le Bistro or Cagneys & Moderno or La Cuccina..
Yes I/we get the other two Latitudes dinner for a total of 4---but as Two wheels only stated they have been chopping away at this.

I hope the Drinks package is still good for all 7 days of the Cruise??

Wow --how long ago did they change that? Thanks

Since we are on a 7 Day cruise-NCL Breakaway to Bermuda and I booked the "Free" Dinner and drinks package, How many specialty dinner nights come with the Package??? (MyCruise summary shows only two???) I swear it used to be three! I do get 2 additional from Latitudes --but I swear it used to be 3 nights. Thanks

Most other Cruise lines have MADE their announcements!! NCL it's time for a Press release!! The video channels are starting to com up with their own theories, get out in front with the TRUTH!!

I am in NYC----We are concerned about Hospitals and the elderly---Schools are closed till April20th- as a target date probably further. The last thing they will approve is Cruise ships coming or Leaving NYC..
The USS Comfort will be docked at Pier 90---with ambulances coming and going. I do not think they want to tie up traffic with a Cruise ship and cabs!

The Governor of Florida has instituted a 14 day quarantine for anyone traveling from NYC NJ or Pennsylvania. I am not sure how they will implement the screening--but I can not take that chance!
-
The 14 day Florida rule will stop all cruises. No one can take 15 days off BEFORE their cruise. I am wondering when NCL will make the extension public!
I can get quarantined for 14 days---but the flight crew turns around and goes back?

Keep Jobsons Cove a secret!!--Simply Beautiful!

We were blessed with 8 Beautiful days of Sunshine--The captain took that ship Alllllllll the way out almost to Bermuda, then turned south. We continued south as Dorian moved towards the east coast. We went South to clear weather after 1 night of semi-rough seas. Compliments to the Navigational team!

Pack a sweatshirt just in case.
Switching from Eastern to Western would be fine, I live in NY so I can wait to pack--but my cousin is packing for the Caribbean and bring warm clothes. The temperature in New England and Canada is about 40 degrees cooler during the day and more at night!
Off Topic-- I do realize that a storm that stays off the coast will save lives-and that is what really matters.

We are Cruising out of NYC to Eastern Carib on Carnival Sunrise. We are scheduled to sail Wednesday Sept.4. If this Hurricane does not make landfall and breakup-it will travel up the coastline into our path. My Question is how long before sailing do they inform you of change. We could be looking at New England and Canada-"-very different clothes" Safe travels all.

Will get to see Topher for the first time!! Have seen him in about twenty videos! You Tube--he is a celebrity! Making a dog catch sand is sick--glad the word is getting out!

Wow! As the original Poster, I never thought this thread would go to page three. I now feel sorry for the Bartenders that have to explain this over and over to all the customers on day 1. On NCL you sign for the drinks, tax, and gratuity on day 1,but by day #2 only the tax shows on your account.
I thank you for the lively debate and wish you safe travels always!

YES!! that is exactly what I read somewhere. Not sure where- but Thanks for confirmation!
-
I read "Somewhere" that the Carnival Cheers Package is not available for Day 1 of sailing. Trying to find that again. I know about the NYC Drink Tax until international water-but the Package not available for Day 1 does not make sense???

Hi all
i see that the weight limit is 250 pounds and I am under that but not by a real lot. I don’t want to embarrass myself by only hovering an inch off the floor. Anyone have any experience in the simulator close to the weight limit? I want to do it but not if I’m going to just be worried that I look funny.
Thanks
Jean---It's your vacation-relax!! I am Borderline 250-253 after 2 days at sea. Yes they will weigh you- they must. there is some wiggle room--just be nice and I believe you will be fine---Happy flying--or whatever I did--have fun!
Newbie question about self-assit disembarkation.

We were one of the last people off the Getaway last Sunday. Had a final breakfast, and then ended our vacation. We did take our own luggage off— we are 60-61 with no problem. There was a small line at immigration— but in NYC they have the face recognition, so it goes smooth! Keep cruising!
