  1. Thank you!

All Oceania small ships (Insignia, Nauitica, Regatta and Sirena) are the same as the three Azamara ships. They do not have a sauna but there is a steam room in each locker room ( so single sex). It is octagonal in shape . The Azamara ships have seven seats but Nautica ( and I assume the others) have a single bench around the octagon and more could be seated without being squashed ( need to watch out for the steam inlet(s) under benches).

No clothing required. Most wore or sat on a towel. Not heavily used.

There are also two fancy showers which are quite nice. Oceania also provide a fridge with cold drinks in in the locker room.

Their larger ships (Marina and Riviera) have both sauna and steam room, both single sex and free. The sauna is quite large, the steam room smaller.

  2. :)Yes, they said they will be mailing the extra tags out now. I have not received the Blue book in the mail yet... as long as my drink package is paid for, the rest will fall into place as it happens lol!

You can always get the luggage tags at the port

Did they say they would send extra tags now?

I would have thought you would have gotten the Blue book by now unless they are mailing them out closer to sailing dates now

  3. I just contacted Oceania this past Thursday. They responded on Friday saying that my Bluebook was printed on June 22nd and the documentation will be mailed out three weeks prior to departure. I asked for additional luggage tags should the information get there after I leave (flying to Rome on July 27th). My cruise leaves on August 31on the Sirena.

  4. Quick one please. If I drop off a rental at the Hertz office (about four blocks from what I can tell on Google Earth) is there a shuttle that will take you to the entrance/waiting area at Civitavecchia? I understand that at this point a second bus will transport you along with your luggage thru the security check point to your ship location?

    Thank you!

  5. We just booked an A-1 extended aft cabin 7116 for the Rome to Miami transatlantic in August 2018 on Sirena. I am trying to decide if we should move up to PH 2 or 3 for the extra space which does sound appealing but the larger balcony for the transatlantic might be better. Has anyone sailed in 7116 or the equivalent and if so, can you weigh in? Thank you!

We are on the same transatlantic cruise from Rome to Miami on the Sirena. Booked a B1 cabin on deck 6 (recommended by our travel agent). The cabin is forward ship and was wondering if anyone had any insight on this cabin class please?

    Thank you all!

  6. Hi all. We have cabin 6027, a B1 Category on hold. Does anyone have any photos of this room please? According to the deck plans it is a connecting cabin. Also does anyone have any photos of the spa, steam and shower areas as well please? Are the facilities co-ed?

    Thank you!

  7. The ship is beautiful, but who told you the food is fantastic? That was not my experience.

What was your experience that made it so bad? When I was on her for a private tour the food was very good. I was served one item from each course. The salad was fresh and crisp. Shrimp cocktail was the largest I have had on any ship. The filet mignon was cooked to my taste and could almost cut it with my fork. The pasta was first rate along with the home made sauce and freshly grated parmesan cheese and topped off with fresh basil. The bread was freshly baked and warm. The dessert was very good as well. The plate had handmade cannoli, tiramisu, a scoop of homemade gelato that was to die for and the pans cotta was sweet!:D

That only goes for the coffee you pay extra for, the stuff you get in the dining room and buffet is pretty awful.

Again, what was pretty awful with the coffee that you had?

The coffee that was served in the MDR was very good when I had it. Freshly brewed, hot and pretty close to what I would drink when I was in Italy. The speciality coffee was right on the money. Rich in flavor, hot and frothy as I would expect in a good demi-cup of Italian espresso.
