  1. Same here with my other half... hopefully mid to late March.

My partner raved about the ship today! He spent 5 plus hours on board adjusting the coffee machines….

He took a handful of pics, but was pretty busy….I'm sure we will try to book a trip this spring….

  2. Met with the Spa manager (great guy!). Gave us a personal tour of each of the various spa rooms. They range from heated salts to a floating heated mattress of sea water for massages. Their list of services is quite extensive. Rooms are indivual or for couples (hydra spa tub for two in the couple's treatment room). They even have a Japanese hair treatment spa room. The facilites itself are amazing. The staff for the most part are all Indoneisian, extremely friendly and helpful in an 'old world charming way'. You feel like you are actually welcomed. I have not gotten this 'feeling' from other cruise companys where the staff makes you feel like they are doing you a favor by just being there. I have a few photos of the spa but it's not easy to post them on this program.

As for the kiddy pool, I did not see any. The infinity and main out door pools have very shallow areas. The pool with the retractable glass roof is equally amazing. The main out door pool is sub-divided by walls and various water depths and spas. Each of the areas have a very intimate feel to them dispite the fact that your in the main pool of the ship.

    Hope this helps some what.

  3. Tim-

    Thank you!!!

OK, OT but here we go.

There are two ways to add pictures to your posts. The easiest is to click on 'manage attachments' below the text box when you reply. A pop-up box appears with draconian image size limits - these are not strictly adhered to but the actual limits are still very tight by current standards - you will certainly have to use a photo app to scale them down and compress them to be acceptable. This will insert clickable thumbnails in your post.

The second way to to host your photos elsewhere or else provide the URL of the original image if it is already on the web. One trick is to paste the photos on FaceBook then copy the URL of the image from there. Click on the icon in the tool bar of the text box that looks like a postcard with a mountain on it and paste in the URL (not of the web page but rather of the image itself). You can immediately overwrite the inserted text with a more meaningful description which will appear as a link to the URL you pasted.

    Hope that is clear.

    Tim.

  4. I follow MSC on another site that features pictures and they posted a short video….My partner sent me pics, but I have no idea how to post photos on this site…

    :o

If you figure it out, please let me know! I was trying to post a few pictures myself and had no luck...

  5. Hello all! Does anyone have pictures of the balcony state rooms with additional photos of the interior of the closet space(s) and bathrooms please? I was on the Poesia three years ago and from what I can remember the closet space in her balcony state room that I was in was tight.

    Thank you!

  6. Next year is a landmark year for my husband and I - its our 15th wedding anniversary and we both turn 40 over the course of the year. So we are treating ourselves to two weeks away from our darling children, travelling to the other side of the world from NZ to Europe, and are planning to take our first cruise! Its very very exciting!

We have talked about the Yacht Club and it appeals massively to us from the perspective of not having fixed meal times, having more quiet facilities (sailing during summer holiday break) and just the general top quality of it all (my husband travels a lot for his job and is used to all the top tier treatment as part of his elite status on airlines and hotels and I am very willing to get used to a bit of luxury).

However, I have to admit to feeling a little intimidated by it. We watched the promo video with its polished and glittering couples swanning through in designer wear. Then we watched another which had actual travellers in the yacht club and there was a plethora of suits and jewellery and very very dressy dresses.

We are just an ordinary couple with a taste for fine things. I am a full time mother of three young boys and have two other boys who live with us for schooling. Whilst I make a point of always dressing nicely, most of my wardrobe is reflective of this fact and heavily features shorts, slacks, skirts and t-shirts and blouses. I've only got a handful of dresses and only two of those could be classed as particularly 'smart'. I don't want to spend the extra on the Yacht Club and then feel like I need to go out and spend more so I don't look like the poor cousin who snuck in the back door.

What are peoples experiences of this?

And as a bonus question, do you think MSC will be re-offering the recent upgrade to Yacht Club for suite passengers for that period? *waits for members to pull out their crystal balls*

Sounds to me that you both are special. Do it for yourselves! Who cares who's wearing the latest fashion...

  7. Hi Felix,

The Allegrissimo Classic Carnet package has been withdrawn from the beverage package options on MSC Divina Caribbean sailings.

The Allegrissimo Classic includes unlimited consumption of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including a selection of wine by the glass, draft beer, soft drinks, mineral water, hot drinks, and a wide selection of drinks and cocktails from the bar list, as well as take away ice-cream. The package must be booked by all guests occupying the same cabin, belonging to the same reservation number, and all gusts booked under different reservation numbers but traveling together or as part of a group.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you! How far in advance do we need to purchase this package please?

  8. Sorry bit of a newbie and will be going on my first cruise next year.

    1. I will be on Divina going from Miami on 22/02 - what of the above packages are included on this cruise?

    2. I booked my cruise through a travel agents, and I am able to log into my account on the MSC website with my booking number etc, however it is very limited. Only shows excursions for 2 of the ports and doesn't have details of any of the drinks packages or any of the other extras? They are there but when I click on them it says nothing is available. I'm very confused  how do I go about booking one?

    David-

I am planning on taking the December 21st cruise out of Miami. I wanted to take the same cruise you are on in February but my schedule won't allow for it. Have you figured out the details on the "AllegrissimoClassic" vs. the "All-Inclusive Beverage Carnet" drink packages please? The cost are the same and the options seem to be the same as well...

    Thanks!

    -Felix
