Thank you both for your advice. I will research the train from central station.

We are staying at the Sydney Harbour Marriot. We want to rent a car for the day and go to the Blue Mountains. It doesn't look like there are car rentals within walking distance from hotel, is this correct?
Or should we take a guided tour? Recommendations?
All recommendations are appreciated!

Ours too. Is this a good price?
I won't be purchasing at $50 a day. I would for $18.

It dropped from $63 to $50 in the last hour for our 2020 Alaska cruise.

Wasn't available on our Alaska 2020 cruise.

Will they drop you off in town after the tour?

We flew into Fairbanks to start our land portion. We used Hertz.
I am only able to look up to March of 2019. Did you call Hertz 1-800 number?

Cruiseguy1016- Who did you use for your car rental? We are also going in June 2019.

Car Rental
in Alaska
My husband and I are taking an Alaskan cruise in June 2019, Seward to Vancouver. We are thinking of flying into Fairbanks then taking 7 days to get to Seward. We would like to do the land portion before the cruise on our own. I know many of you have rented cars so I have a few questions.
How early did you rent?
What companies?
I know prices will be more than the lower 48 states but how much more?
Thank you all!

Well, it's here. In 20 hours we're off to Barcelona for 3 days before our Saturday cruise on the Emerald!
I've never been to Barcelona and have heard much about tapas bars. I understand it can be intimidating to order (I don't speak Catalunyan (sp?) nor do I expect others to speak English and you generally have to compete to get your order in. I'm thinking disaster or semi-starvation.
However, I just discovered there are tapas walking tours that escort 3-10 (guessing) folks to 3 or 4 tapas bars and teach you how/what to order. The idea being of course, to give you more confidence to then find your own non-touristy, authentic hole-in-the-wall place to get a true tapas experience. Has anybody done this and if so, could you recommend a tour?[/quote
We were in Barcelona last month and did a Tapas Tour with The Barcelona Taste, http://www.thebarcelonataste.com and really enjoyed it. We went to 4 different places and our guide ordered and explained the food to us.

All the information is on the roll call. Have you signed up?( link is below) I am still working out the details for Rome. We also have a tour booked for France. I am still doing research on Venice and Revenna. Everyone says they are pretty easy to do on your own.

Severus,
When in June are you sailing? We are sailing June 21 and have tours set up with Rome in Limo for 3 ports.
We have spots left on our tour and it would be cheaper than the ship.

Is there a Starbucks on the Radiance?
If so can you use the Refreshment Package for coffee or can you only use the coffee card?
Thank you!
