  1. Congrats on qualifying for the elite level benefits. :)

I don't have photos of these options but only had the afternoon tea once (too much food before early dinner! :p) and now that the latest formal night "Deluxe Canapés" have eliminated the only option we enjoyed (chocolate covered strawberries) we no longer request the canapés.

That's merely our preference & hope that you'll enjoy the remaining options and here are the ones on the current "Feb 2015" order form we received in April on the Regal.

Smoked Salmon, Mascarpone Cheese & Golden Caviar

Poached Cocktail Prawn on a Sesame Crouton

Grissini Wrapped with Cured Parma Ham

Genoa Salami Stuffed with Deviled Egg

You can choose 6 pieces to be delivered to your cabin on formal night between 4:00 pm & 10 pm and the form is suppose to be hung on your cabin door by 10:00 the night before.

Same here, only ever ordered the strawberries and now they are gone don't order :(

  2. Is the OBC the same regardless of the length of the cruise? For a 10 day cruise I have coming up, I'm getting $100 OBC for being a veteran. Would I still get the same $100 if I took a 4 day cruise, or even an overnighter?

    6 days or less = $50

    7-13 days = $100

    14 days or longer = $250

  3. Wow! Thank you everyone for all the great tips! So nice to be welcomed to a new cruise line :-)

    Welcome to Princess :)

Buy FCC onboard to use as the deposit for your next cruise :)

  4. I was on CB over Thanks giving

the bed had a big ~ in it so the next morning when waking with backache I requested a topping and that helped. In April I was on CB again and this time the bed was so hard I could have slept on the iron floor, asked for a topper and slept great the rest of cruise.

Did a RCI cruise in October and another in March with no bed/mattress issues.

Not sure why Princess cannot get the mattress's right :(

  5. Sorry you came down with norovirus. Hope you're feeling better. Just off same cruise. No problems. Didn't hear a word about it while on board.

Maybe they both got it on a plane or somewhere on route to ship and brought it on with them if you never heard about it onboard.

Was salt and pepper on tables?

  6. someone posted not even coffee.

So I couldn't get coffee or tea at the place next to IC and take it off with me in a paper to go cup if I didn't finish it?

Often I have seen them stop people with coffee before they scan them off the ship although in some ports they have allowed it off.

I don't get coffee right before getting off anymore.

  7. Sounds like you don't really need a beverage package.

Coffee, tea, iced tea, lemonade, milk, OJ from concentrate and flavoured water are complimentary. Cheaper to just pay as you go for the odd drink.

I agree you probably won't get any value from a package.

  8. This is only free if the card is for that ship (cruise). I always get a new card but use my older card for Latte's. When the old card has no punches left I start the new one. You need this new one for brewed coffee.

I love the IC for this.

This thread is from 2007 ;)

  9. I just got off the phone with Princess.

The 10-night Eastern Carib currently has 3 children booked.

The 10-night Southern Carib currently has 4 children booked.

Needless to say, there's a lot of time before departure date and it could acquire more children; but, so far just a small few.

However, they did confirm that the kids club will still be operating.

Do you think there would be many adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s? Husband and I are both 40.

    Thanks!

We took our kids on the Sun Princess Transpacific 30 day cruise in 2007, they were 7 and 11 at the time and had only been on carnival and Disney before that and they loved the Princess cruise.

There were only 8 children in total so the activities were combined but they got to do great activities that don't happen when there are 100's of kids.

They got to decorate cakes in the galley which they gave the room Steward, they did scrapbooking, ceramic painting and lots of other activities not usually available and loved the club.
