Nope, got 100% applied on mine 😃
wow, that's awesome. Thanks for the quick reply.

I did a quick search, and I think I have the answer, but can someone verify that if you choose you cruise solo, they only apply half of the MyVegas certificate amount? Thanks a bunch.

Lots of choices given your great 12 hour port time. You can check some websites to see what looks good to you in your price range.

There are others, but I am familiar with above.
Thank you for the great info...of to do some research.

We will be in port from 8am -8pm and are looking for a full day snorkel adventure. Does anyone have any tour to recommend? Thank you

Has anyone tried for an upgrade instead? Pre-pandemic we either got OBC or an upgrade. I wouldn't mind an upgrade on my next cruise.

All ships were supposed to have it rolled out by the end of the year, but I highly doubt that will be happening now.

We sailed on the Escape in October and the Casino always seemed to have coffee.

the lunch was in our excursion and it was very good.

there are now umbrellas on the beach, we loved going there, it was very nice, and the lunch was great too.

We were there in October, lots of chairs along the water with umbrellas, they also have chairs scattered all over, there are hammocks in trees too. They have a full size connect 4 game and chess, corn hole games and table tennis. We were able to just wade close to shore, but it is deep and you can go over your head. Family members were able to do some decent snorkeling. We all walked over to see the dolphins swim, and some were there for the performance.

I just tried redeeming point for OBC and it isn't valid on group pricing, but I saved a lot more than $100 by getting the group price. I just added my points back onto my account

On one of our cruises, there were a few very rude people in scooters. I always go out of my way to accomodate anyone with mobility issues, but this particualr person thought the world owed her something. My husband was already in a line with several people behind him, he was next to be waited on, this person came from nowhere and rolled right into line in front of my husband so she could be "next" and rolled right over the top of foot.

On the "other" cruiselines, you pay a corkage fee if you drink it outside of your cabin. No fee if you drink "at home" , but most other lines limit the number you can bring on.

Thanks everyone, at least now I don't feel like a heel for not tipping enough based on them not receiving anything. I will continue to tip beyond the DSC.

Hmmm, just came across another very recent thread regarding the Daily Service Charge. Why has this become so confusing?
-
Hot topic on another board I follow, ....can anyone verify if the room stewards are included in the money from the daily service charge? Some are saying that the stewards see none of that money and it is expected they will be cash tipped. I have always been under the assumption that they DO get part of that money , and any cash tip is above and beyond. We always tip our steward, but if they in fact do not receive any of the daily service charge money, I want to make sure I am giving them enough.

Thanks so much for all this Bird, I am sailing the first trip back to the Bahamas in the Fall with family that have never cruised. Your play by play and wonderful pictures of the Dailies and food will help them get excited. I will be tuning in daily to see what fun your having. Again, thanks a bunch, looking forward to reading everything.

Did you have to book for 2 nights? I have read that you do.

Looking for some private tour recommendations for Nassau. We are a group of 9 ages 12-65, we would enjoy snorkeling and some beach time. Thanks
-
When we first started cruising, I would leave an emergency e-mail for the ship with family. It appears that it is no longer an option on most lines. All I see are phone numbers.

As a previous poster said, check your cruise planner often. When you see a good deal...book it. Then contiue to watch it, it may go down more, at that point you can cancel and rebook. We paid $42 pp, per day for ours.

I'm not sure on the 5 day or 14 day cruises, but on the 7 day cruises generally there are 3-4 random formal nights, meaning at will non-specific to any night. Generally not on the first night or on the first 2 port nights.... again generally. I'm sure every ship in the fleet plans accordingly with some latitude between them. Any other night is smart casual, slacks, dress shirt etc. as you mentioned perfectly fine. I know this for a fact because I was approached on a formal night and was require to wear a jacket and for my convenience they supplied me and others with them. They have a portable closet behind the facade at the entrance with many sizes, If you check the RCCL.com website it's clear on the dress code. Now whether people follow it or not and it's enforced? Read their site it clearly spells it out. Or just google it.............. it's in black and white.
only 2 formal nights on a 7 night cruise. We gave up eating in the MDR several cruises ago, but from what I understand, dress codes have been relaxed fleet wide. Last time we participated in a formal night on Celebrity, only stipulation was a collared shirt for my hubby, he didn't need a tie or suit coat.

The struggle is real, :p I look every trip and nothing ever trips my trigger. We usually end up with the old standby of a good backpack or the duffle. Our duffle has a few pockets, and a lower zip area for wet water shoes or suits. the handles are large enough so it can be worn like a backpack and it also has a long strap to carry over the shoulder. It also doubles as a carryon/ luggage. BUT...I am always on the look out for the perfect bag, someday I will find it.

I booked the 7 day round trip from Vancouver June 6, 2026 on the Koningsdam, my TA didn't have the info on their website yet, so I emailed with all the info and they called me back.
