Loving the photos and blog as always. That gangsters Moll looks just a bit too realistic for my liking. Is there something about your former life you want to share with the group :)

Miss you guys!! Think about Africa next year.

I didn't think it is your camera that makes good photos, it is you. :)
Thanks for your kind comment. Just checked and have had over 30,000 photo views in past 10 days which amazes me!

We were at the Apple Store at Ala Moana Mall this AM trying to get Eleanor's IPad working correctly. A continuing struggle. I am pasting a link here to my photos of birds taken in Hawaii over the past 4 years. The link is now also on my World Blog.
In answer to a previous question I generally use Nikon SLRs with an 80-400 lens for my bird photos. Many of the others are with a small canon point and shoot and my cell phone.

Thanks for letting us know. I passed her in the hall and at the Square each day and she even came to the Roaring 20's party for those of us on the full world cruise. Truly a gracious and beatiful lady. Hopefully it is not a major episode!!

I am keeping a "blog" of our trip. It is intended to chronicle our trip for my future reference as we travel a bit and I lose track of the timing of where we have been. It is also a convenient way for me to organize my photos and keep friends up to date on where we are and what we are doing. It is certainly not intended to be an in depth critique of Seabourn. So with that said, feel free to check in from time to time as we proceed on our way to Venice aboard "Our Home Away from Home" on the Seabourn Sojourn: http://cliffphotos.com/SeabournSojourn2014WorldCruise.html

Jan told us last evening at the Captain's reception that she will be getting off in Honolulu and now plans to rejoin us around March 1st. She looked good, but had arm in sling. Was in good spirits. Heather had told me earlier that Jan is not in any real pain.

Unfortunately Jan Stearman fell and fractured her collarbone when boarding the Sojourn and will not be able to perform duties as cruise director. Was told at dinner tonight an as yet unidentified cruise director will join us in Hilo.

Just completed the 18 day Holiday Cruise and about to start out on 2014 World Cruise. Here is link to my comments and photos: http://cliffphotos.com/SeabournSojournChristmas2013.html
Be sure to be on the lookout for a spectacular video Able Seaman (aka Henry) did on the cruise!!!

They probably would never admit it, but the real issue is probably the difficulty with dealing with US Customs and Immigration, with long delays causing missed flights and stuff like that. They stopped routing their crew members through US airports on their way to and from home for just this reason several years ago. Unfortunately this makes it all the harder for us because now we have to go through the hassel of dealing with TSA, etc at US Airports.

Will look for Bill and Martha.
meanwhile, everything has been wonderful. Already got to know the sommelier in the restaurant a bit, cruise director Heidi and assistant Sophie both seem lovely, and am happy to report after one dinner and one lunch in the restaurant, all is terrific. Food (with the exception of an unfortunate swordfish, which was quickly corrected) and service have been wonderful.
We have not yet seen any crew members that we recognize from previous sailings. But hotel director Karl Eckl is joining the ship at the end of this week.
Would you mind to ask Karl if he is staying on for the Holiday Cruise and World Cruise? He was the Hotel Manager on a trip we took on the Legend a couple of years ago and was incredible!

At this point everything is speculation. I'm sure the new ship will carry more people but we don't know if it's a hundred or fewer. Let's wait until we get more specific information before we start complaining.
Well said - As I recall a month or so ago most of us were predicting they would not add another ship.

Hello learned brethren.
A question about the coffee shop which I think is located in the square on Sojourn. Are they likely to offer soya milk as a lactose free alternative to cows milk for latte coffee ?
Indeed is this option widely available around the ship? Might it also be available during breakfast for my Coco Pops :)
Henry :)
Yes

As a owner of 100 or more shares of Carnival Stock has anyone gotten the on board credit the corporation promises? Is it in addition to other on board credits such as the one I get from AMEX Platinum? Are these good for more than one booking or just a one time benefit? As I recall when I was entitled to a referral credit on our first cruise on Seabourn a number of years ago they told me on board I was only entitled to get the higher of the two which was the referral credit and they denied the AMEX Plt credit.
