  1. My wife competed her first cruise this last year and we are about to go on another one in about a week. I asked my wife if she had her C&A on our reservation which turns out she didnt. She went on the computer and did something and said it was now linked.

     

    Ever since then I have had a notification at the top of webpage saying that my name didnt match my C&A for some reason and to call the help desk. I was planning on calling tomorrow and making sure everything was right.

     

    My wife got home tonight and I told her what my C&A said. She went to go look at it and said she fixed it. 10 Minutes later I get a message saying thank you for signing up for C&A. Curious i went and logged in and my status has been reset to nothing and my membership number was different..... I was a platinum member.

     

     

    I plan on calling tomorrow but am worried they wont be able to do anything. Anyone had any experience where their C&A got reset and were they able to fix it?

     

    I had to call yesterday for a similar issue, for some reason my first and last name was switched which caused the error. The lady said it has been common lately. Perhaps an update they ran moved field around in their database

  2. Was just told about a great place to go in Cozumel called Mr. Sanchos all inclusive resort.

    Only $55. per day pass.

    Anyone know how far away from the port this is ?

    We have done the romance package twice now and loved it, I would recommend paying for cabs in pesos when your able as the exchange rate to cabs use is almost half the actual exchange rate right now

  3. So, I know that I said I wouldn't post here again but I finally made final payment on my upcoming cruise and used the offer and wanted to share some info which I hope will be useful. I split my final payment across multiple cards which had the offer, but the last payment was $186 so I was trying to figure out how to get up to $350 on that card. It turns out you can purchase on-board credit through Royal so I called 800-722-5443 and bought $175 worth (my TA had said it needed to be in $25 increments). I received the "Great news! You just used your Amex Offer" email from AMEX even before I hung up with the RCCL agent. So.. if you have extra cards with the offer, buying yourself OBC is an option. It will be refundable if not used, since it's not promotional. The offer is valid thru 6/26.

     

    PS the offer can be redeemed across multiple charges, before anyone asks how I got it without spending $350 in one transaction. It's in the fine print of the offer. Some AMEX Offers require single transactions, others like this allow multiple.

     

    Thats much easier than what I did, I bought some expensive spa treatment for the last day of the cruise, which I figured I would cancel and get OBC, your way is much simpler.

  4. Fellow cruisers! Just out of curiosity, what prices do you get with this discount for example to Anthem 12 night cruise sailing 18/12/03? I was really disappointed as the C&A page offers me this discount with every 3rd night off but I can't use it because I'm not from USA/Canada. It feels ridiculous that I can see the offer but I have to pay 8 nights extra because I live in a wrong country :(

     

    For my 12 N anthem sailing in a D8 with 3 people my total savings was 375, The cruise fare went down 675, however I lost 300 in OBC.

  5. I wonder if it matters which ship you're on. I'm sailing the Anthem. Could that possibly make a difference?

     

    Doesnt work on my anthem cruise, however i booked through a travel agent, so that might be why, also I dont sail untill january so perhaps they havent loaded the credit yet. I have credit from royal and the travel agent. I suspect only royals will show up

  6. Authorized users have an entirely different set of offers on AmEx. Usually they are similar, but yes, you need to add them to the correct card.

     

    I have two authorized users on the account, each with a separate sign in, logged into all of them and added it to each card separately, and will see if they honor it on each separate card, making separate purchases on each. this has worked for me on previous offers, but none were for as much as $75 so I'd be impressed if it worked.

  7. One thing about the refund...I had booked the cruise with a certain credit card. Long after final payment that card was compromised and I received a new one with a new number. I called Royal to have the refund issued to the new card, but they said they couldn't do it that way. They had to try to issue it to the OLD card and when that failed they would send me a check! Seems a rather odd way of doing it when all they had to do was enter my new card number. Oh, well....as long as the refund comes I guess it doesn't matter how. Just seems a little odd.... The only reason I could think of for doing it this way was to prevent someone else from calling in and having my refund posted to THEIR credit card. Seems remote, but I guess it's possible.

     

    I had this issue on a previous cruise, the deposit was on the old number, and the rest was on the new number, the deposit ended up being refunded to the new card, it just took an extra week for chase to move it over, my understanding is the bank still keeps the records so they know where it needs to go.

  8. There's a discrepancy in the drink package price from my March cruise this year and my March cruise on Harmony 2017.

    Ultimate Drink Package (Allure March 2016) is $97.47 CAD per day

    Ultimate Drink Package (Harmony March 2017) $93.80 CAD per day

     

    Not sure why the price would be cheaper on the Harmony. Just thought it was odd that there is two different prices.

     

    I also I have different pricing on my select pricing for my April Brilliance cruise vs my January 2017 anthem cruise. For some reason the anthem pricing is cheaper

  9. Morning, our cruise in April was booked under a promo that provided $76 OBC to be used for shore excursions. On board is there anyway to enforce that it must be used for excursions? I would really like to book ahead of time to guarantee a spot on the tour, which would leave to OBC for something else. Cheers

    Possibly, I was thinking perhaps the longer cruises were staying at the old prices, assuming on the shorter cruises people may drink more per day than the longer. I purchased it just in case to lock in the price. Roughly $500 for 12 nights of beer/wine seemed fair.

  11. I'm sorry, I had originally posted the wrong link in my post above. I've since fixed it. Look again at post #2, and add 18% to those prices.

     

    I just purchased, the select package for a Jan 2017 Anthem cruise and it used what i believe is the old pricing, of $42 a day instead of the 39 + 18%, however for my Upcoming 5 night on brilliance it was the 39 +18%. Any known rhyme or reason to the different pricing structures?

  12. If it helps anyone...I am doing a PADI open water certification on my cruise out of San Juan next week. I had to arrange everything on my own. I did the eLearning online, will do the pool dives and cert dives one and two in puerto rico the day before the cruise, then cert dives 3 & 4 in st croix. This leaves the rest of the cruise to scuba dive at other ports. It can be done but it takes quite a bit of coordination.
