I always book with a PVP because they seen to know what cabins stay away from so try that the next time you book.

From what I have read, I think if you are Platinum or have FTTF you can choose any time and still board first.
I am Diamond and I was wondering the same thing but if you do not pick a time the representatives will not let you in the embarkation area is that correct?

You will be surprised how many parents take their children out of school to go on a cruise, If I asked my parents to go on a cruise during school they would still be laughing.

Thank-you! I thought I was the only person to clean my cabin with Lysol! I go through the entire cabin and have Lysol wipes for everyday...
The stewards love me on every cruise...
I am going on the Breeze 4/9/16 I will probably do the same thing and wipe down all surfaces in my cabin that people usually touch. Dateline did a story about the different surfaces on cruises ships that have the most germs- the remote in the cabins, the elevator buttons, the stair case hand rails and the buffet serving handles. The best defense is I"ll wash my hands often.

I will be on the Breeze 4/9/16 and this is the first time I will have ATD. In past cruises that I had assigned dining I sat with single people that hit the hay early. So I'll see what happens with ATD maybe I'll meet people(girls) that want to have fun.

Yes many times about 50% track record for nice weather. One time it rained for five days.

Two different programs. Diamond is 200 days at sea and milestone is every 25th cruise up to 100.
If that is the case why are the posts saying they got a up grade when diamond status was reached and am I reading the posts correctly?

I'm not real happy with new layout either. Not sure why Carnival felt the need to change some things on their home page. Unfortunately, we're stuck with it. At least, until Carnival hires someone else that wants to have a go at redesigning the web page. I'm guessing whoever is in charge of that department never heard the expression "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
I agree 100%, my PVP said the same thing at staff meetings with the Beards.

The only one time up grade that I received was when I reached milestone at my 25th cruise I got a wrap around balcony on deck six at the back of the ship. I never got an up grade for reaching diamond level. I think Diamond and milestone are different in terms of days at sea correct?

I was wondering if Carnival will convert Canadian Dollars to US Dollar while onboard? And if so, is their rate higher or lower than on land places? Thanks :)
Why don't you exchange all your Canadian dollars for U.S. dollars at he airport before you get on the ship I would thing the exchange rate would be better.

Recently I read the thread about Egon Landsberg's year long cruise on the MSC Poesia, and it got me to thinking about folks actually living aboard cruise ships. I'm going to be comparing the cost of living/sailing on several lines. I'm first looking at Carnival!
I didn't want to post the whole blog entry here because it would make for a rather lengthy post.

Let me know what you think!
It is funny that you mentioned people living on cruise because I did meet an older guy that does live on different cruise ships and over the years he learned how to cut corners such as not going on excursions, not using his sign and sail to buy anything while on the ships, etc

Ditto. Never use travel agent. Book everything ourselves. That way we are in control of everything.
I totally agree, I always book my own flights, like one of the posts said they would not use fly2fun until the program is better received, it is too new to take a chance.

That will be cool since I'll be on the Breeze's 4/9/16 sailing, Island music sets the tone for a cruise.

Going (again) on the Breeze this coming Saturday. If you have any questions that I can't answer from the last time, let me know and I should be able to provide.

I'm from Ct and usually fly to FLL. This April I will be going on the Breeze from the 9 to the 17. The fare on S.W is 600.00 RT and the fare on jetblue is 800.00 RT. How can a family afford these prices plus the cruise fare. If I wasn't using my miles I probably wouldn't have gone.

For some odd reason parents(not all) think when they bring their kids on a cruise the parental supervision goes out the door and its up to the cruise line to take of their kids.
