Local currency would be easier.  We did the Hop on Hop off bus to the beaches, purchased drinks with local currency. 

Went to First Landing Resort.  Very nice, used the beach, bar service to beach, gift shop.

Paid 120 FIji dollars round trip from port.

Any ideas about what to do in port?   I read behind the shops there is a beach that you can walk to?   Can anyone confirm this?  Name of beach so I can google earth location?

 Princess Cruises has a policy of no tipping in Australia, but a gratuity is automatically added to spa treatments. The onboard currency is Australian dollars; in Asia it is U.S. dollars.

Arriving one day prior to our Princess Cruise, should I book a hotel near airport? and use Princess transfers? or near port and take taxi?. Do any hotels have free transportion to port like in LA(sanpedro) or other U.S.. Cities? Looking for a reasonable hotel with English Speaking Clerks. Thanks.

Two and one-half bus ride from port via Princess trips. Anyone who has done this? Is it worth paying Princess prices? Do they take any breaks on the two hour ride? Thanks.

In San Pedro, Sunrise Hotel, rental car in almost next door --Hertz, get Hertz at Lax and drop off in San Pedro, or take super shuttle to San Pedro, and get a rental for 24 hours only 25.00 or 30.00.

We had a great day at Lety's in Feb, We ordered Margarita's, beer, water, soda and shrimp. We were stayed all day, had chairs with padded seats, and a covered area to lay under. I didn't get sick, restrooms were clean. Good service, and drinks. --very reasonable prices :)

Do the Helicopter tours pick you up at cruise port? How far are the airports from ships? deciding to book tour on my own or with Princess (which I think is $$$) although if taxi's are super expensive to airport it may be worth it. Thanks. On my bucket list to do a helicopter tour

Make sure what pier the ship is docking on. Go to a car rental site, google for coupons, fill in info. Quick and easy, we rented a jeep twice for our family.
