Sorry, it's the Unlimited Dining Plan. It allows unlimited specialty dining for one upfront cost with a few exclusions.

I have seen it on the Celebrity cruise planner recently but not seen any discussion about it, likely as the price Celebrity wants nobody is buying it. Even for this 12 day cruise with almost no upcharge dining the cost was almost $50 pppd plus gratuities. That's insane.

Many years ago they used to sell the unlimited specialty dining package on Celebrity for $29pp/pd but you had to buy for the whole cruise. They were pretty limited. Of course specialty dining was cheaper then too.

I was so excited to see the Fraisier dessert is back! It's my very favourite treat on Celebrity.

They have dropped them and have also discontinued the roving photographers and photographers at the ports.

Now the have a couple Green Screens set up and and you select a background if you purchase a picture.

They do have really expensive photo shoot packages.

That's really a disappointment. I'm a sucker for photos when I travel with my son.

The photo shoot is much less interesting to me if it's all at once. I liked being able to get pics on different nights in different outfits. Loved the unlimited package.

  3. Is the room service charge even for ordering from the MDR menu at dinnertime? Or getting something sent back to your room if you can't finish it?

$12 seems awfully steep for room service that used to be touted as an always free perk!

  4. Wow; it's funny that I would say our experience 2 months ago was almost the opposite. We found the ship to be large and have plenty of activities and thought the buffet was no more than adequate at best with less selection than in the past.

I guess it's all in your frame of reference if you are used to sailing the mega ships from other lines? And perhaps a comment about their buffets as well!

You can minimize the problem by scooping up items with silverware rather than the serving utensils.

you are welcome to bring your own disposible gloves if you are worried about exposure

you could even go so far as to bring your own serving utensils from home but that might be going too far.

This could cause cross contamination issues... please don't do this!

My friend and I are going on the Solstice and have a few questions…

    1) Is there an outdoor movie screen? I thought I had learned on here that there isn’t one, but I see one on the deck plan in the app.

    2) The app shows the menu for each night of our cruise even though our cruise isn’t until 2023. Do you think it’s accurate that they have it planned out this far in advance?

    3) The Dining Room references a Panini Grill at lunch; is there a Panini grill at Mast Grill?

    4) Is shower gel provided in regular balcony staterooms?

    5) The Non-Alcoholic Drinks Package says it includes “Fresh Juices”; is the orange juice truly freshly squeezed?

    6) What are the pricing options for cards for Deal or No Deal?

    7) Is there a Celebrity pen in the stateroom?

Thank you in advance for your info!

    1) yes, on the lawn

    2) probably not accurate yet

    3) no Panini Grill at the Mast Grill. There is a panini station in the Oceanview Cafe with three premade sandwiches that change daily.

    4) yes

    5) there is both "regular" OJ and fresh squeezed

    6) One card is $19.95, 2 are $29.95, 4 are $39.95 and 5 are 49.95. All must be used in the same game.

    7) yes

  7. What I'd like to know is what happened from before when they insisted the cover charge WAS the tip. That no additional gratuity was necessary unless you chose because the staff was paid from the cover charge.

So now are we being made to tip on the tip since some people won't have been sailing Celebrity long enough to have been told that? It feels a little tacky to me.

Being life threating  how do you handle other meals while on the ship?  No biggie only meaning different waitstaffs will ask and if they don't you advise them just as you would the first evening of the cruise when you first meet the waitstaff.

Our maitre d' on Solstice handled everything, including the oceanview cafe and breakfast and lunch in the main dining room as well as dinner.

I hope you never have to understand how much nicer life is when you can relax a bit and not constantly worry about allergies. This is one reason we cruise Celebrity- Oceania did a much poorer job handing allergy issues because of open seating. We will never sail open seating again.

Yes but it doesn't tell your tiers points which is good to know how near/far you are from the next tier.

I called earlier today and spoke to an agent within 30 seconds.  If anyone wants to do the same:

    1) Get your Capt Clubs number ready

    2) Dial the BCC: 877-461-7170

    3) Press 1

    4) They'll follow their script of "My name is XYZ, and whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with?"  You can speed up the process by saying without any pause: "my name is ABC and I'd like to find out how many tier points I have, can I give you my captains number?"

Are you sure that number is correct? I get answered by an automated system that says welcome to the conferencing center please enter a passcode?

    Ahh I googled, it's 866 not 877!

This was the point where we started booking a RS. Two separate sleeping areas, one and a half bathrooms but the young teen is still in your room. Yes, the suite option is expensive but so is a solo room and so many perks with a suite…

I'd love to but that is way out of our price range compared to a balcony and an inside single with no perks.

There is no problem booking a teen as a single in an adjacent cabin or across the hall.

Frankly, I'd like having some privacy as well so it's definitely not just for him!

The entire ship is 48 passengers. And they did similar when they stopped cruising at the very start of the Covid shutdown.

No they didn't. We were due to leave the very next day (some of our travel party had already left) and they only offered the 125% credit. Nothing like a full refund plus free cruise. I had been expecting that for at least the sailings less than a week away!
