I have 2 friends cruising on a 7 night cruise in Alaska and I plan to go with them in my own cabin. However choosing 1 person in the cabin doubled the price for me. How can I cruise without paying this exorbitant single price?

The cruise is RC May 18, 2018 7 night inside cruise to Alaska from Vancouver.

Travelers checks! Just cash them at the front desk!

I just went to my bank on Friday to get Travelers checks, US Bank, and they said they don't have any! No one uses them so they don't provide them anymore. I had to buy a pre paid Mastercard, at $4, to use instead.

Should we rent scooters or take a cab? We want to be on the beach and then go to the cemetery to see the old tombstones.

Awesome! I've never been to South Beach and I'm a bit intimidated that they are very slender, very well dressed. I'm from the great north so I'm pasty and corn fed. What clothing/shoes should I wear to get beach time and dinner?

I was going to take the Canon D10, my iphone and that's it. I've got a usb drive I backup my photos at home on, but I don't have an interface from the camera to usb drive.

On the ship's computers available to use, do they have usb ports? I wonder if I could cable my camera to the computer and upload my photos daily to flickr and to the usb drive.

How would you backup pics from a digital camera while on a cruise?

I'm flying in at 1pm to MIA and staying at the Marriott at the airport. Would I have enough daylight left to catch the Airport Flyer bus to Miami Beach to play on the sand?

I really thought I'd get Embassy Suites so I'm disappointed.

Here's a tip from a loyal passenger....I'm Platnum on NCL but also on Royal and Carnival.....Here's a universal tip!!

NEVER, NEVER,NEVER book your cruise early for this exact reason! Unless you want a highly, highly sought after cabin like an aft suite with wrap around balcony, you don't need to book in advance. Even for Haven suites you don't need to book early. You will never get a good deal booking in advance.

 

In this day of many, many mega ships, you can find a great deal last minute and a great cabin. Book as late as you possibly can wait! Always.

My cruise is 3/11 and I booked it 12/18. I have not yet found a price near the deal I got booking it 3 months early. I paid $40 pp for a 5 night cruise cabin category OA.

I want to read a book or just lay down and relax on the Pearl. Where are the best places to find a lounge chair to just lounge around? I don't want to deal with chair hogs so I'm hoping there's some hidden deck, some corner with lounge chairs so I can hang out and read a book.

Once our guarantee room number was assigned it never changed.

Any TA booking would get the same deal.

Is that correct? I booked my NCL cruise through a last minute cruises site and did NOT get the latest promo. I contacted them and they said I paid less for the cruise than what NCL was currently advertising.

I book a guaranteed obstructed oceanview on 12/18. At the 60 day out is when I got my cabin number. It's several rooms higher to a non obstructed oceanview with large window.

I used an online last minute cruises website to book my latest cruise. I had a question about the NCL upgrade offer but no one at the place I booked through knew enough to answer my question and NCL could not because I booked through the last minute cruises site. So I didn't like that.

How do you find out your blood type? Can I call up my doc and ask if it's in my chart somewhere?

I also have a Cannon DSLR for when I am feeling photo happy and want to be creative or get better shots, but sometimes it is just a PAIN to carry around the big DSLR.

I'm trying to decide if I want to lug around my big Sony DLSR for the cruise. Did you take your Canon at all? Or just use the point and shoot?

After reading around I think the spa pass sounds like a must buy for me. What is the current cost for 5 day cruise and do they have couple passes?

Trip Advisor has some great ideas. From my research I plan to go to 7 mile beach. It's the best beach. You can snorkel right off the beach and see fish.

The March 3rd and 7th are the last charters. March 11th has no group chartering it.

The ship arrives at Miami at 8 am and I'll be flying out of Fort Lauderdale. The ship is NCL Pearl and has 2,400 passengers. What the earliest I could make a flight?

I'm on the 3/11 cruise on Pearl. it will be my first NCL cruise.

It's not an NCL Excursion.
