I've got an excursion in Grand Cayman that says to meet at 9:15. How soon should I get in line on the ship so that I get tendered over and meet on the dock on time?
-
How did you talk them into a free upgrade? I called my TA on Monday and since I paid less than NCL's price for ocean view, I don't qualify for the upgrade wave event they have going now. But doesn't everyone pay less going through a TA? Anyway they said it would cost $500 to upgrade from ocean view to balcony!
-
Is it free?
-
No kidding. The photos of the ship, all NCL literature shows a slide. We were really forward to playing on it!

I'm in South Dakota and there is no way we could drive to Miami. We drive up to MSP and fly into FLL. Right now tickets for our cruise time are down to $221. Bing.com/travel says prices are still falling so I'm not buying yet.
-
Can you post what restaurant you got them in?
-
It will be my first NCL cruise in March on the Pearl, so I'm interested in any info you have!

I think of it this way. We all have own local laws vital to our own communities. They protect our local economy, public safety and or environment. Many may not sense to visitors, but do to each of us(or maybe not). I would want all visiting my home to respect these laws, therefore I should respect theirs.
Agriculture is vital to Florida's economy, therefore any notice restricting food items should be observed.
A few years ago, it was reported a snake had entered Hawaii. The entire state was looking for that snake. I think it was finally discovered to be a hoax.
To the OP, I appreciate that you asked, instead if just "doing".

That's why I asked. Didn't want to break a law or rule unknowingly.

I was thinking of packing a lunch for the Key West day. We plan to be at Fort Zachary beach all day.
-
Is it possible to get a lunch packed for shore days, since we've paid for the lunch we're going miss? It would be nice to be on the beach all day without having to bother to go to a restaurant.

I get really airsick and seasick and Bonine works terrific!

I'm curious for all the commenters, why not NCL?

I've been reading lots of reviews of the Pearl, and it seems there's an issue with waiting an hour or more to get into the MDR and then service is slow.
What are the best times to eat lunch and dinner in the MDR to avoid long waits and slow service?

Love NCL.
SD did you get your question answered? I am also In South Dakota and when I call NCL I am pleased. Can I help you?
Have you called 877-436-9722
Did you book your cabin or did you go through a Travel Agent?
Another one from SD! I booked through a travel agent. There's a upgrade wave event and my cruise is eligible and my oceanview is eligible but my travel agent said I can't get an upgrade because I paid less than the NCL stated price. I don't even know if I want to bug NCL about this to see if that's true or not.
-
Does anyone have an email for NCL that handles pre-booked cruise issues? All I can find is a phone number that I've called twice, get transferred twice and then disconnected twice. All after holding for 40+ minutes combined.

So if I use your logic I could book a penthouse and get a deluxe owners suite, erm no don't think so.

You're right. It's balcony upgrades only.

Cruisecritic was faster. I haven't heard back from them so I posted here.

My travel agent is lastminutecruises.com.

I'm in a guaranteed obstructed oceanview right now. A free upgrade to balcony would be awesome.
-
I noticed that there's a promotion to book now and get a free cabin upgrade. Well I already paid for my cruise and have a stateroom number. Can I call into NCL and ask for the upgrade? 50% chance of upgrade or less?

I have a gluten sensitivity, i.e. rushed bathroom runs several times a day if I eat gluten, and I'd like to know how to contact NCL about some gluten free pasta, etc dishes. Do I call the main line, is there an online form or does NCL have gluten free food ready but you just have to ask for it at the buffet or dining room?
-
I'm in the system now! I'm so excited! I can see my reservation and everything on NCL!
-
I booked December 18, 2013.

Paid my cruise in full which was $400 for two people but a full total of $600. I thought the extra $200 was the daily service charge, but grom reading others posts I'm beginning to think it was not and I should expect the $120 service charge to be paid on board the ship? For a 5 night cruise it should be $120 for 2 of us.

I'm going with Captain Marvin's. He has a good rep on trip advisor.
