So far I have my running sneakers, walking gortex shoes, black dressy, beige dressy, brown flats, regular sneakers and flip flop type shoes/sandals.
I hate to travel and not have something that I want.. As long as I don't go over 50 pounds I'm happy...:). DH is worse then me.
I think I'm going to go just dressy, on formal night, slacks and a nice blouse .We are in Aqua class and I have heard on this board that you don't have to dress formal in Blu but most people get more dressed then usual.
DH will bring his sports jacket. I think....LOL

I understand your frustration with packing. I think I'm also bringing 6 pairs of shoes and I thought I was doing great. I'm of a different mindset than lots of people on this board as my family pack EVERYTHING we might want to bring. We are traveling for 16 days to include 7 days inland, cruise and 2 days in Vancouver. I tend to always be cold, but I hear Alaska is getting quite warm. So, we are checking a suitcase each and then bringing a carry-on each plus a bag with electronics and my purse. We will try to pack the first few days clothes in one bag so that we don't have to get into both suitcases every day.
I don't know about you, but I wear different things most days (although I have my favorites) and I'll want to do the same thing on a cruise. Yes, I will wash and wear something again later in the trip, but I like to have lots of choices. My mood changes and with that, my choice in clothing does as well!
So, for tops alone, I have 4 short sleeve, 6 long sleeve (2 can roll up), 2 sweaters and 2 dressier blouses. This doesn't include 2 t-shirts for exercise and 2 long sleeve t-shirts that can be worn under clothes for warmth.
My family will never get the prize for packing light!!
We'll be bringing 2- 29 inch suite cases and a carry on.
Right before we leave I'll go over everything and decide if I really need it.
The formal night clothes is killing us... Jackets, shoes, sweatshirts it's a lot of stuff.... LOL:rolleyes:

Leaving next week and starting to get things organized.
I don't know how anyone can get everything into (1) suite case and not go over weight
I think I'm going to have trouble with a 29 inch and a carry on :o
I'm thinking maybe I have too much, shoes alone I have 6..:D
Getting excited...

Will be leaving next week on the Milli and staying in AQ class.
I know we can go to Blu and specialty restaurants are extra, what other options do we have?

Still hoping when they get into port in Vancouver they do a deep cleaning:(

I leave on the ship from VAncouver when you return, please post again with an update.
-
the ship arrives next Friday from a transatlantic cruise.
I'm hoping the do a deep cleaning before we leave.

This is my first cruise, will wash my hands constantly.

No purell! I bought a bunch of it before I read this post. :(

I just read on another post that they are currently on the Milli and Niro virus is running rampant and they are in code red mode and it's a sick ship.
I'm leaving on the Milli next Friday, what happens now?
Does Celebrity being the ship back early and scrub down?
I'm very concerned now, I'm spending a lot of money for this trip.

Hi,
What are your favorite things to do in Skagway?
Train, rent a car, hikes?
-
First time on a cruise, didn't know....
-
Is Blu formal on the formal nights or is that just in the main dining room?
-
Can I wear dress jeans in Blu?
-
Do you get to see your daily charges somehow?
-
Taking first cruise in 2 weeks. We have the classic beverage package and already thinking of using our OBC and upgrade to premium package.
We will use the laundry service on board but what other things on board will we have to pay extra for?

Hi,
First cruise..
We are staying in Aqua Class so do we have the option of eating at Blu or the MDR?
Or just Blu?
On formal nights is every restaurant formal attire or just the MDR?
Thanks!

I see my beverage package on the documents I just received but it's not on my cruise reservation on the Celebrity site. Should I call my TA or Celebrity?

How far ahead of your cruise do you check in and request the luggage tags.
First cruise...:D

Hi,
Will be in Seward after cruise and were not sure if we want to spend the entire day in Seward and take the Alaska Dome train up to Anchorage or spend a couple of hours and then head via car or bus.
Are reservations necessary for the train or can you make them the same day?
Or flight doesn't leave until late the following day, where would you spend more time? Seward or Anchorage?
Can anyone share their Harv and Marv experience?

Went out with them last week and it was fantastic.
There was 6 of us on the boat and we saw 3 or 4 different humpback whales.
Thought that I may get sea sick but nothing at all.
I highly recommend them.:D
