Thanks to bennybear for the private transfer referral. Stefano Rome cabs looks like a safe and quality company. Do you usually pay for your Rome airport transfers in euros  directly to your driver on the date of transfer or prepay in advance with paypal or credit card online when you make your transfer request?

DH & myself are booked on Nieuw Statendam 14-day Aegean Gems & Adriatic Antiquities cruise scheduled for May 8, 2022. I am very excited as this is similar itinerary to one that we had cancelled in 2020. I have never been to Greece and it is on my bucket list. 😊

Thanks Jazzbo. I am looking into Ostia and it does look like like an interesting little town. The beach is a bonus. Yes, Marazul, I am finding some yummy restaurants in my Ostia research.

Thank you very much for all of the informative replies. Our flight out of Rome FCO is May 23, 2022 so maybe things will be calmer then (I can hope). I am a Hilton Honors member so that will work out nicely.

I have flight booked early morning from FCO day after cruise ends in Civetivechia back to Pittsburgh and want to stay near airport at hotel with shuttle in morning for easy transportation to flight. Any suggestions appreciated.  Thanks.

You seem knowledgeable about smoking areas. Do you know if there is an area on Regal Princes where my hubby can have his morning smokes and coffee?  We have sailed HAL often and he sits in the aft retreat in mornings (smoking area near coffee). I am looking at booking Regal Princess (only if he can smoke). From your description, it looks like deck 17 aft might work. Appreciate any input.

Churchill's cigar lounge. This is the only location on the ship where cigar and pipe smoking is permitted.

I miss the horse race game. People would purchase the horse at auction early in the cruise and had all week to dress it up and parade it around the ship (stick horse went to dinner and to shows). The  race was held on the pool deck on the last sea day. It was great fun!

Booked Jewels of the Baltic on Holland America May 10, 2020. Been researching St. Petersburg tours. I got a discout through Get Your Guide for Adventura Russia tour for 2 day St. Petersburg. Anybody heard of this tour company? I have cancellation possibilities but also saw good reviews on Trip Advisor but I am still wondering and trust cruise critic real opinions? Also booked at a discount on a Warnemunde port excursion to Berlin through GetYour Guide for Essence of  Berlin 12 hour tour and wondering if anyone has ever used this tour company (they also show good reviews on Trip Advisor).
