  1. We are looking at the solstice for our family cruise to Alaska in Aug 2016. I was reading some reviews and I saw a few that said that anyone under 16 can only be in the pool 1 hour a day. We have been on many ships and never heard of this so I called the customer service line and was told "We cater to family's and your kids 11/15 will feel welcome on every area of the ship" After I hung up I realized that I never got a real yes or no from the lady who changed the subject back to what room I wanted a celebrity suite or the royal so I thought I would ask here. Thank you.

  2. I was looking at the Celebrity Solstice for a trip to Alaska in Aug 2016 we are deciding between this line and Norwegian. My question is we will have both of our kids who at the time will be 11 and 16 has anyone done this cruise with kids and if so how did they like the cruise? I want to be sure they will enjoy the cruise as we will they love to go off and make friends and club things but I have not been able to find too much on the kids clubs as of yet so any input would be helpful. Thank you

  3. In Oct we took my 9 year old son on the grand princess there where very few kids maybe 10 total in the club. My son had a blast even with out many kids but that may have been why it was the adults who where unimpressed with princess on that cruise but it got rave reviews from my son. Also do not go in Oct our sea days the pool was only open a limited time do to wave that was the I ne dispoiment my son had.

  4. I am looking at the 2 bedroom family suite on the Jewel to Alaska and the Haven 2 bedroom suite. They look the same and seem to have all the same perks is there any differences besides the price? I only saw some very old post about each so I wanted to get some updated information on the differences before I booked one over the other. We have never been on Norwegian before and any help would be appreciated thank you.

  5. I just called the RC cruise planning department to ask a question about the cabana I just wanted to know if we can reserve one on the ship or if we have to do it when we get to cococay. The lady seemed confused by my question and said the cabana can only be booked by Grand Suit this seems odd to me we are new to RC. We usually cruise with Disney and have never had the issues I am having with RC.

I just wanted to check the information was right because I know I have seen people not in GS say they have used them so is this a new things maybe? Thank you !

  6. We alway get a room with a veranda, it helps us not feel shut in and the only way my husband will go on the cruise. That said the Disney staterooms are amazing regardless if you have a veranda or not it's just personal preference really we prefer an evening after all the busy stuff to sit out on our chairs and have a nightcap and relax

  7. We are going on the grand in October for the 15 day Hawaii trip , I was wondering is there free wi- fi in ports or close to them?We will need with- fi for school work stuff while gone and. I do not want to get slow on ship internet at such a high cost with little guarantee that it will transmit assignment and such. Thank you

  8. Every cruise we sit with our kids 9 and 13 we go over check out from clubs, where they are allowed to go alone and where they are not allowed to. We go over what to do if they need help , in all our vacation we have never had an issue but we still go over the yelling for help ect just like at home. I like to remind my kids we are not at home and they need their public manners on the ships. Also when we get on the ships I have each kid show me where the club is to our room and other areas they are allowed to go to. I hope you guys have an amazing trip.

  9. We allow our son who is about to be 9 to sign out , the age is 8 on disney ships to be able to sign out of clubs.we have rules my son knows to go from club to cabin. We also allow him to go up deck for ice cream pizza or drinks alone. Everyone raises their children differently and my children know what do if someone attempts to have them go any where with them they are to yell for help and run just like at home if a stranger tries to lure them.

  10. This is our 1st sailing on Holland and I read about the drink cards that if you spend 90.00 you can get 100.00 or 45.00 for 50.00. When I go online to buy these it shows 50,100,250 is the discount price only if you buy on ship and not online? Sorry if this has been asked I was unable to find it.
