30 cruises with the same little dollar store 4 foot extension cord. Never any problems.
-
I was on this cruise as well. I was a Premier Guest too. Had a great time and I am really enjoying your review!
-
I have had a cabin just like that 3 or 4 times and the stairs were never an issue. You scored a great cabin and you will always be on the look out for another one from now on.

I saw a very large group... sit in the lido buffet area every morning. The women in this group stole so many pastries, croissants; and boxes of cereal...packing them away in gallon ziplock bags and stuffing them in their oversized bags. I saw this going on 3 mornings. I knew they saw me staring in disbelief. I guess they liked them so much they wanted a 2 month supply when they got home!

My husband became Diamond two cruises before me. He didn't receive anything yet. When I turn Diamond I had everything waiting in the cabin upon arrival. We have been getting the run around as well from Carnival. Called Diamond Desk and they said it would be in the cabin on the next cruise....it wasn't. Came home and the Diamond Desk said...just go to Guest Services and they will take care of it. So when we go on our next cruise I will go to the Service Desk and if it isn't straightened out....I will request that they call the Diamond Desk with me right there and hopefully get to the bottom of it. Seems to be some real serious inconsistencies regarding this.

We sailed on the Dream on the second cruise after dry dock. I thought the ship was spotless. I usually cruise out of Galveston and I must say the embarkation as well as the debarkation was the fastest and smoothest I have ever seen. No complaints here for the port of NOLA or the Dream.
-
Just off the Dream and I was asked morning, evening or both. I told them both, robes, ice everyday, wine glasses.....no problem. Always glad to serve. Please and thank you go a long way!

My PVP said you had to book by midnight Friday. They are no longer available. I booked on Thursday and got a sweet deal on the Freedom 9/2 for only $398pp and a total of $500 casino cash for the two of us.
I picked up this sweet deal too. I was onboard the Dream on a Premier and booked it...so I also got the $100 obc.

Hear....Hear....I have a 5 day Premier booked out of Galveston on May 15th on the Valor. It's the only one I have ever seen.

We get the room steward to open it for us if we forget our corkscrew. They are happy to do it and don't charge you. The corkage fee is if you take it to the dining room. Sometimes they don't charge you a fee there either.

I just got off the Liberty on Dec 1st. They had one Showtime call "Just Rock". It was a tribute to the classic rock legends of the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. It starred the Liberty Dancers and Vocalists. It was very enjoyable.
There was another show that I didn't go to.

I for one thought it was a great cruise. We did sail at about 18 knots on the way back from Galveston. The weather was the reason for the bumpy ride the last night....not the speed. So happy we got back to port earlier than expected.....we got to watch the Cowboys!

59 days.....it's been a great year!

Leave your stuff on the hangers and pack the rest. I never put on new luggage tags, but it sounds like a good idea. The stewards have all your info for the b2b so don't worry. Have a great time.

Premier Cruise is a offer from the casino. I would like to know how the check in differs from the priority check in as well. I am going on my first Premier Cruise on Sept. 3. Any info would be appreciated.

Just got off a 21 day b2b on the Elation. First part we got the duffle bags. Second part we got a neat little USB multi connector kit.
-
We just had a jr. suite on the Magic that was the first cabin starboard side that was obstructed by the bridge. We really got our exercise by being all the way forward. It was still so great. Have fun!

Been to Cockleshell beach twice. We went there in Feb. 2015 and was just there in Oct. 2015. We stayed at a little place right in the middle. It was called "Best Spot on the Beach" and is now "No Limit Beach Chair & Umbrella Rentals". Less crowded, cold beer, good service. It is not fancy. If you want to just relax and drink some cool ones..this is a great place. They do have a facebook. Nolimitbeach Chairrentals. Give them a try. Did I mention....$2 beers and $5 rum punch. 2 chairs and umbrella $10. Can't beat it!

From my experience it just depends on how much work you do when booking/ your preference on researching your cruise or using a valuable resource.
I personally do my research when picking a cabin, research when searching picking a cruise and love doing it 100% on my own.
My partner prefers calling up his PVP and lives by her - wont book without her (shout out to Linda!),
I've compared bookings and our prices are generally 100% the same and she has no other insight - I just personally love the thrill of spending a couple hours looking into my booking which you could save when using a PVP. I don't think the PVP's always look at your Casino offers tho so you may want to pull up a your casino offers first before calling your PVP.
EDIT:
AND there are some other advantages when booking multiple cabins - linking cabins. THey have some behind the scene features that make it easier so if your group booking and wanna schedule same dining times, etc. - a PVP makes it easier.
There is one big advantage of having the help of a PVP. When you book yourself you can't see all the available cabins. The website never shows more than 10 cabins in any location. I like being able to have my PVP tell me all the cabins available. More choice.

Been on several ships and the Triumph is my favorite. Going again on Feb. 27th....one last time before she leaves Galveston.
-
When the price of oil was sky high Carnival could have charged a surcharge if it went over $90 a barrel but they never did. I guess it all evens out.

We just had a Junior Suite (9205) on deck 9 on the Magic. Noise was never a problem. When people were using the observation decks all the way forward...privacy was a bit of an issue. When we were sitting on our balcony people would be just as surprised to see us...as we were to see them. There isn't too much traffic because it is so windy at the front. Mostly people come to take pictures when pulling in or out of port. People do try to see inside your cabin. They are just curious. Not really a problem. Just remember to close drapes at night or you might get a show when people think they are alone!

So sorry to see you go!

We just got off the Magic and we loved that they brought back the steel drum, Calypso and Islander music. It really adds to the mood of cruising. I'm glad Carnival listened to what most people enjoy and made the change.
Fog in Galveston?
in Gulf Coast Departures

Just got back from a cruise on the Freedom. No delay getting on the ship but upon returning ship was slightly delayed due to fog. Started debarkation around 9:15 am on January 27th..
