  1. Same here liberty - will only be in Rome for an overnight and we have stayed in the heart of rome a few years ago. We will train it to the hotel - unpack grab a quick dinner via metro and then back to hotel to sleep. Its more about train travel to the port for us.

  2. Do you plan to take the train to port? If so you may want to consider staying near Termini as we are. Still convenient to sites by metro but easy to train in and out of Roma. We are seeing great reviews for Piemonte Hotel and Domus Praetoria running approx.150 USD per night.

  3. I too am interested in this as we were planning on dining in specialty restaurant on formal nights to avoid the formal dress code in MDR on formal night. Nothing against dressing up as we typically do like to dress nice for dinner but DH will likely not bring suit or jacket but rather dress pants and button down shirts for dinner. Just trying to avoid the extra clothing for a few hours - rather pack light and find the suit or jacket adds too much to the luggage. Does anyone know if formal dress is required in specialty restaurant on formal nights?

  4. We stayed in Sorrento a few years ago and went to Peters Beach - it was just north of the Sorrento shopping district and easy to walk to from either sorrento port or main shopping square- although heading back up to main square is all uphill so take the little town bus! We stayed in Sorrento as our base and went to Peters beach a few days. They had an amazing restaurant and paid lounger and umbrella usage. It was very reasonable both lunch and use of facilities.

  5. For those that have visited Mykonos - would you advise for two beach and food lovers? We just booked our May cruise and haven't begun to research any excursions yet. This is right up our alley as we typically spend our vacations at 4-5 star carribean resorts!

Just don't want to miss anything else in Mykonos. We are visiting Rhodes, Athens turkey Italy as well so plenty of site seeing days in between.

  6. It was covered minimally by insurance if any. My Mom had breast cancer and my Dad Polycystic Kidney disease but didn't let their illnesses stop their love of cruising. I'm glad they were fortunate enough to be able to cruise despite their illnesses.

  7. I'm not sure of the cruise lines that my parents took but my Dad took many cruises while on dialysis about 10 years ago - my parents always referred to them as dialysis cruises and had great times despite his illness. Perhaps do a search online or contact the national kidney foundation, they surely can offer you a schedule and assistance. Good luck
