We went from 24 day Rotterdam to Boston on Rotterdam to 24 day Copenhagen to Boston with slight adjustment to itinerary - July 6,2019.

We have always been with another line but my wife would like to try Viking. What is the difference between the penthouse suites 1,2, and 3?

Any ideas from experts on best way from Amsterdam to Rotterdam? I know the train is cheapest but then would have to lug bags to taxi to get to pier.

The decompression of the extra day is worth the cost of a night or two in a hotel.

 

This past winter was a prime example of the need to make allowances for storms. When we flew to Australia for a cruise, options for changing to the long-haul flight were San Francisco and Chicago. No offense to Chicago, it's a great city. But no way am I connecting through Chicago in February. Getting out of Newark in February was risky enough.

I love Chicago also and agree 100%. I never change planes in Chicago.

I used HAL for one way JFK- VCE for Oct. Business Class and paid 1/3 the price the airlines wanted.

I just bought 2 one way business class to Venice on flightease and saved thousands over any other entity I could have gone through. It took a few minutes online - got the exact flights I wanted.

I was checking our reservation and it shows Hotel Bonvecchiati on our pre-cruise portion. I will double check with our PCC on Tue.

I just made reservations today for JFK-VCE for Oct. 2018 on the HAL website. I got the exact flight I wanted (there is 1 non-stop) and the business class fare was $5000 a person less than on the airline website. A homerun in all ways.

Having breakfast in the PG is one of the reasons we always get a Neptune Suite.

It turns out there is an extra bonus for booking this month, not actually related to Explore 4.

Did they tweak the Explore 4 package to include more OBC?

We were able to add the E4 to our Oct. 2018 24day Med/Greek Island for $399pp and able to keep the Signature Experience. 1st time we've been able to get a deal on E4. Now hoping we can "easily" upgrade to the Elite Bev once onboard!

I was also able to add the E4 to our Oct. 2018 Med/TA for $230pp and keep the Signature Experience. My PCC double checked and said there was no problem combining the two packages.

Sorry for your unacceptable experience. I too would write a detailed letter and send off in the mail but personally would not mention the parting comment other than the apology from the previous room steward.

 

We had a room steward on a NCL cruise introduce himself stating he has 4 kids, so please provide me on your survey with 5 stars as he needs a raise. We replied that we would love to as we only get one vacation a year and are hoping for seamless / excellent service :) . Which it was and he received 5 stars.

I think I would ask to see pictures of his kids!

As soon as they open up (appear on HAL's site), we book specialty restaurants and excursions. We don't want to be disappointed.

We are going Venice to Barcelona and then continuing on the repo to Ft. Lauderdale. Its booked as 1 cruise. Will we have to "exit" and reembark in Barcelona?

We did our booking with a PCC and booked the flights with Flight Ease. We have the air locator number that allows us to check the airlines and we can see our flight information, date, time of flights, seating, etc. We got updated information this morning for our flights in Sept.

Did you book the flights on the HAL website or on the phone with your PCC?

We always trade in the bottle of champagne (or sparkling wine) from the room for soft drink cans.
