Thanks for your review and posting all the pics Mac. Interesting to see the towels and bags on all the loungers on the Retreat sundeck that early. I can’t imagine the staff put these there so is it safe to assume the chair hogs have now migrated to the Retreat? We have not seen this on past cruises in the Retreat so I hope it is not an issue on our upcoming Apex B2B.

Caymus was $25 per glass in Luminae on Equinox this past November.
If you get a good sommelier they will back out a 4 glass premium package credit ($60 total I believe) on any bottle purchase.
re: Caymus for $75 per bottle in VA...can you please let me know where this is I would like to order some. I haven’t seen it that low in a few years.

We’ve sailed in AQ many times and have really enjoyed Blu on all the S class ships. We have waited in line or with a buzzer many times even though we usually arrived around 8:30-9 no big deal. We moved up to Suites and really enjoy Luminae so haven’t felt the need to go to Blu.
On a recent Equinox cruise we stopped by to ask the Maitre D if we could dine in Blu at some point and he explained they were too full on that particular cruise again no big deal. This does happen!
I really would like to meet these Suite guests that wall on water, are over pampered, catered to etc. because I think Suite guests as a whole get a bad rap for being demanding etc. I have encountered many demanding guests on various cruises and I know for a fact they were not in Suites by their pass in the lanyard around their neck. If Celebrity would better manage this dining room policy a lot of people would have to move on to another topic to gripe about.

Thanks to both of you for the quick reply. I plan to ask the concierge for approval. Curious to see if anyone else has tried this before and the outcome.

We will be in a suite again on an upcoming cruise but another couple we are traveling with will be in Aqua Class. We plan to take them to dinner in Luminae one night so my questions is can we also take them into The Retreat that evening for a cocktail before or after dinner?

We were on Equinox this past November over the Thanksgiving holiday and the food, service, and staff in Luminae were excellent. We ate almost every meal we could in there and tried many of the entrees between three of us. I don’t think you will be disappointed unless something has materially changed.

Thanks Jim this is what I was looking for. I figured due to the location on Edge the process would be different and you wouldn’t be able to “slip out the secret back door”. I just wondered if they made any other special accommodations in a designated suite only area to expedite your departure.

Very informative thanks for sharing!

Looking forward to our upcoming Edge cruise and am curious if there is any priority disembarkation for Suite guest with the location of the Retreat Lounge on this ship? We have really liked the convenience of being able walk out of the Retreat Lounge on our past Equinox voyages. Any feedback or tips would be much appreciated.

My wife and I are mid 40’s and I think will be on our 7th Celebrity cruise next week. We typically always cruise longer itineraries in February. We already have two more booked and if history repeats itself will book another while on board. We frequent the bars, pool, activities, and meet plenty of fun and nice people regardless of their age. Bottom line you can have as much fun as you want in many different ways. We enjoy escaping the winter, quality meals, adult beverages, and above average service so Celebrity meets all of our needs. I wouldn’t get hung up on the “older demographic” that everyone references.

Thanks so much Jim this is very helpful!

Has anyone experimented with the best areas to get signal strength and optimal bandwidth on any of the S class ships and ideally on the Silhouette? We have used the Internet periodically on prior X cruises on our phones and iPads with a small package. We will have the unlimited package for our upcoming cruise so I plan to bring my laptop and was wondering if anyone has successfully used WebEx or GoTo meeting while at sea? Does anyone know where the best place is for signal strength and bandwidth? Thanks.

Right on ghstudio Celebrity may have the worlds smallest olives....🤣

Both of these responses are what I wanted to hear thanks much!

Does anyone know if you can take a jar or two of unopened olives on Celebrity? We will be going on our 7th Celebrity cruise next month and always get the premium drink package to enjoy dirty martinis as well as many other beverages. The olives have always been a major disappointment so I was thinking of taking a jar or two of jumbo queens with me this time if permitted. I have asked many different people on many ships if they have larger olives and they do not.

We’re early 40’s and headed out on our 7th X cruise this week. We still hit it pretty hard and always have a good time on Celebrity. You are not going to find “raves” but if you are into a higher quality experience you should have a great time.

I’m sure everyone will have different experiences and opinions but we have sailed in AQ on Equinox the past for years and love it. The staff has been great. We are heading out on Eclipse next week because of a different itinerary so I hope it lives up to the Equinox’s standards.

Is there a service fee or any type of “costs” for taking out markers in Fortunes casino? Is the payback similar to a typical casino?
-
Can anyone confirm Celebrity will be piloting the conversion of the hot glass show oven/area to a wood fired pizza venue on one of the ships... possibly Equinox? I’ve heard of this a few times now including last February when we were on Equinox and wanted to see if anyone has heard of this?

Maybe Celebrity doesn’t feel they have a ch’ogger problem as they don’t have chairs hogged up on the new Edge pool area Lol

This topic always makes me laugh but it is very frustrating when trying to find an open seat. A possible solution could be to have to check towels out with your sea pass card and then return them somewhere when you are finished with them this way people would be accountable for the towel or risk a charge to their account. Less towels would be left laying around this way which would mean more “open” chairs.
Perhaps I will conduct some surveillance on chair hogs on my cruise later this month and post it for everyone’s viewing pleasure and a good laugh.

I have done this on most of our cruises and received reds no problem.

If you befriend the right bar tender they will give you one especially after receiving a nice tip.

Coconut cake in Cafe Al Bachio at least the past three times I've been on Equinox.

Thanks I have seen the folded towels placed at times. I was referring to the last pic posted where they are covering the chairs and it appears there may be a bag and chair clips etc. as if people who are not there using them are reserving them.
