  1. Yes, I will but not often. I'd be more likely to sail when it's waived.
  2. I'm cruising solo for the first time in May. My husband died in 2019. Since then I have cruised with a friend and with my daughter, but it's time for me to go alone. I did non-cruise travel by myself, including a trip to San Francisco last year. I can definitely understand what everyone is saying about the MDR. I had already said to myself that I wouldn't go, and I do bring my book or my kindle with me. I like to be alone. I also like to explore, so getting off at different ports to explore will be just fine. I just wish they would do away with the single supplement. It's awful.
  3. On Anthem, Schooner isn't that large. The bigger acts are in the Music Hall. They had a Latin band in Boleros, a guitarist/singer in the pub and there were different groups in the Music Hall including Aeromyth, an Aerosmith cover band.
  4. Always get the cruise insurance, you just never know. If we didn't have cruise insurance back in 2019, I would have been 50K+ in debt. My husband had a subdural hematoma, the ship's hospital couldn't do anything, they brought us back to St. Maarten and 30 hours later we were airlifted to NJ, where he died. While we were still on the ship the charges were coming in on my credit card. I get notified by Capital One every time a charge is made. I have bought from Allianz and directly from Royal. Depends on the trip.
  5. I was on Anthem Jan. 2 - 13. While on board I booked another cruise for myself & my daughter. She changed her mind and didn't want to go, so I went back and rebooked a different cruise on Symphony for 10/6/24. For that one, I added a friend who sometimes travels with me. I get home and I start receiving the marketing emails for an upcoming cruise (Liberty in May) but they are addressed to my friend's name, even though he's not traveling with me in 2023. I log in, and my C&A is all messed up, saying it can't display my information. My Symphony cruise, which was transferred to my travel agent, had my friend as the lead instead of me. It still showed my email. My C&A number, which is on my original booking, was removed. The original booking has me as Guest #1 and shows my C&A. My Liberty cruise also "lost" my C&A number. I told my friend to log in and he's having similar issues. My travel agent said she's getting it straightened out, and someone gave me a quick fix for the C&A display, but I am not impressed with the IT system. Does this happen often?
  6. I'm sailing on Adventure later this month and I know for awhile people were bringing things that the crew might need. I intend to tip well on top of the included gratuity, but if they need things, I'd bring some stuff as well.
