  1. You state this with some conviction, but there is a whole lot that transpired that you know nothing about. How about those who SOLD internet time? Are you aware of that scenario?

The numbers that did that are irrelevant, if no one sold there free internet do you really believe unlimited would still exist. And going back to the laundary issue, i bet elite passenger laudary is about 1 or 2 percent of the toatal done. Is a passenger getting clean towels every day busing the system.

  2. One really shouldn't mention this topic on CC. Are you aware that the top brass constantly monitor these boards. This is why the unlimited wifi was withdrawn, because passengers were letting friends use it. The next thing to go is the free laundry if this is what's happening. Disgraceful!

No it wasnt. Wifi stopped it.

  3. Unlimited internet was removed because of the popularity of portabe devices, not abuse. I know people say otherwise but as soon as everyone had an ipad it had to go. Internet and data charges cost Princess money, laundary costs nothing. Compare the few items of clothes compared to Crew uniform and general laudary such as towels, beach towels table clothes etc, a few pairs of passengers pants is small change.

  4. On our last cruise on the Ruby, we never had paper bags for laundry. They were burlap bags with a draw string. They held quite a bit of clothes. They had "Laundry" on the outside.

Our cabin steward left lots of bags with the forms, but told us we could only send one bag a day. We did have small items brought back in the paper bags.

A steward who clearly didnt know how to do his job then.

  5. even tho your daughter has 19 cruises she has not reached elite because of her age but her clothes can go under the wifes name so its not a problem

She is Elite, as it states this on her cruise persoliser. The sooner under 18gets some Elite benefits the better. Very unfair rule.

  6. Years ago before I realized that I shouldn't be sending out DH's laundry under my free Elite cleaning, I sent some of his things out that were obviously not mine. The cabin steward didn't say anything and I wasn't charged for his stuff, but he did seem a little miffed. Took me awhile to realize what I had done wrong and then I didn't send out anymore of DH's stuff until he reached Elite. So, it's up to you and to answer your question, no you probably won't be charged for his clothes.

A strange decision not to have your husbands clothes cleaned, if my steward gave me a miffed look i think i know what i would do.

  7. There is no problem in doing this at all, your Husbands clothes will be cleaned without issue. If this was the case does that mean my 15 year old daughter with 19 cruises behind her cannot have her laundary done.

  8. Geoherb has cruised quite a bit with Princess and should not have believed the rep in the first place... Ships usually sail full so where was that breakfast supposed to go? Balconies in particular sell out so finding one for this would be a stretch.. Was Princess supposed to kick someone out?

Yes, the rep was misinformed and yes, Geoherb should have been able to catch the mistake as most of us would have.

In the end, Geoherb's friends got their gift, albeit not on a balcony.

How dare anyone say anything negative about Princess, the rep probably lied to sell the packeage. Anyone heard of the term mis selling.

  9. On ous Asia cruise a few year ago we visited ho chi minh City, we opted to the ho chi minh on your own excursion, we had all sorts of things planned, problem was the guy running the bus decided to turnit into a mini tour, we lost 2 hoursof probably a 4 hour stay. We complained to the desk on our return and we had a 100% refund.

  10. Dave

Don't you think those reserved signs were there so random people wouldn't sit down without realizing they had to pay? (That saves the staff explaining over and over)

We always book the Sanctuary for the week and when the staff knows the loungers are reserved they cover them with the towels first thing every morning.

The ones that aren't reserved for the week look like the ones in your photos with rolled up towels.

Looking at the pics they have a reserved sign and the price info, i am still amazed people will pay dollars to sit on adeck chair a few feet away from the freebie ones, a bold move by princess. Ot sure if its been a finacial success
