  1. Well  that did not work.  This is our friends first cruise and they choose my time dining. The TA sent a form that indicated that Bookings that have different dining cannot be crossed referenced.  How can I improve our chances of dining with our friends.

Link your reservations together.  You will need each other’s booking information, room number etc.  your travel agent can do it or you can link them yourselves on the app.

Thanks for the tip.  I contacted my TA.

  3. to have our good friends who just booked the same cruise as us to be seated with us for early seating dinner.  We have a e-mail address for Roya[ Caribbean but not for Celebrity.  Thanks in advance.

  4. We also do the 6PM.  Head to the bar at 5 for a couple wines.  The 530 get two more and it’s off to dinner.  We drink our two bottles of wine that we brought on board in our room.  That pretty well mirrors our wine consumption on Royal as diamonds  Different yet the same. Spoiler alert we were promoted to Elite plus/diamond plus.  We will see how things work out on our January cruise on Celebrity.

If you are saying you just got to Elite Plus on Celebrity and are assuming that also gives you Diamond Plus, I don't think that is correct. I am pretty sure that the reciprocities only go up to Diamond. Similarly, if you got to Diamond Plus on Royal, it only gives you Elite on Celebrity.

    Better check your work.

Why would it be wrong?? I love Back to Back cruises! And you and your cabin mate will each have 2 bags of free laundry. This is especially handy when you are cruising B2B.

Thanks.  I was on phone with TA and typed this>  I neglected to mention that the B2B would be in different cabins.  Our previous B2B were always in the same cabin. Long story short at this late stage the same cabin was off the table.  So TA assured us that changing cabins on B2B is more the norm and Celebrity will take care of our gear.  Done deal!  We were mystified about bragging about the status?  Celebrity moved us to Elite plus.  All well that ends well.

  7. We just got our upgrade to elite plus (Royal diamond plus).  So added another Celebrity cruise to our preexisting celebrity cruise this upcoming January.  Was that wrong?

  8. 2022 a Hawaii cruise on celebrity.  Booked flights through Celebrity.  Last day flying AA at 11 PM on a red eye to Phoenix, then onto our final destination.  We got to airport early.  Not more than a dozen of us.  A flight had just disembarked passengers.  The employees left and my phone started dinging.  it was a text saying our flight (the last one of the night) was cancelled.  It included a link to AA customer service.  I asked and received a comp room.  When I asked about our next flight I was told it would be a 11 pm flight and there was no flights out of Phoenix for Saturday and we would have to spend the night there.  No comp room.  So we hoofed it to our Hotel.  We got settled in and just when I pulled up Celebrity to contact them my flight were changed right in front of me to a AA flight leaving at 2 pm arriving in Dallas Fort Worth layover connect to our final destination and arriving at 7 PM Saturday!  Celebrity came through fo us big time.  AA not so much.

We are sailing on the Harmony next week for my retirement cruise! Can I use Command Hooks to hang a sign that I embroidered on our door? Thanks in advance!

OBTW we had magnets liberated from our door. I guess someone needed it more than us.

  10. We just got off the Explorer of the sea and I packed 4 command hooks.  Asked the cabin stewart if I could use them.  He said of course,  I found two cabinets that had smooth side,  installed them and They stood in place all 14 days.  Removed them at the end of cruise.  Mo muss, no marks and no worries.  Good luck and enjoy the cruise.

  12. you know with thousand of passengers boarding the ship one should use the zebra strategy. Zebra as a herd have stripes to confuse predators so lessen the odds of being dinner. unfortunate as one will become dinner.  I say put that extension cord in your CPAP bag in the same pocket as the CPAP cord.  If it is placed in the carry on it will like the lone zebra.   Easy pickings.  Just saying.....

    Yes.  Why yes he is.

Just curios.  I am a retired med tech.  First 17 years working in a major trauma center/medical school that trained future pathologist.  Then 22 years in a reference lab which we worked closely with a chief pathologist.  The pathologist was top of the lab food chain.  You would think that Pathologist worked 8 - 5 but you would be wrong.  It was a 24/7 job with accompanying stress.  But I did the job and loved the profession.

The poster is trying to avoid the possibility of their check luggage being detained due to the cord in it. Even if detected at security within the carryon, that delay is likely shorter than the delay in delivery of checked luggage.

In the rare instance that the airline ask (order) a passenger to check the carryon for free  due to lack of space in the overhead bins.  If a passenger has the CPAP case which fits easily under the seat which also contains your back up extension cord and medications,  Just recently this happened to a airline passenger and the airline assured the passenger that the carryon would be safe secure and at his destination.  Nope! Now passenger did not have their medication.  I myself would rather have my CPAP bag at my feet than a carryon in the cargo bay.
