  1. HI there- we are in a STAR Suite (1720) on the 8/21 Allure sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. We plan on having them take our luggage and it arriving in seattle (can't remember what that is called)

We don't like to stress or rush, so was thinking a nice quite breakfast and head off around 9:30. Does anyone know what time I will be safe for booking a flight? I hear with the genie you can go through security/customs pretty quickly....

Would a 11:49 flight be ok do we think? Or is 1pm better? THANKS for any thoughts.

  2. HI, thanks for the review. I am hoping some kinks get worked out by our 8/21 sailing on the allure.

We are in 1720 on the allure (which I understand is almost the same as the oasis) and was promised we would not hear any noise from the golf or flow rider.

Now I am worried...... also not sure I love hear your genie was not where he said he would be? I don't need him/her to meet me everywhere, but IF you say you will be somewhere, I do expect you to be there....

  3. Thanks everyone for the response. I see my post had some typos ( darn phone) I ment to say are we able to get places by avoiding the casino if it is smokey. ( which it seems as if it is) we are not huge gamblers, or I should say I think on our cruise we will be so busy doing other things!

By no means did I mean to stir up an allergy debate. I call it allergies, some might call it irritation, regardless would perfer to avoid the misery it brings by avoiding the smoking areas as much as possible for both. E and my 8 year old.

As a side bar, I am from WA state where smoking is banned from all indoor venues so it could also be given we are just not exposed to smoke very often when we are our "allergies " or " irritants" act up more.

    Thanks again!

  4. We have always cruised Disney with no casino and only smoking outside in a few spots. As non smokers and with major smoke allergies we enjoy not having the inside of the boat smell of smoke. Someone to,d me on RC the casino is full of smoke. Is this true and if that is fine if we can get p,aces with walking through/ near the casino and if the smell doesn't carry elsewhere on the boat

Anyone on the allure that can comment? Thanks!

  5. We just booked the Hyatt at pier 66 for $77 a night for a marina view with my corp rate. It had mixed reviews, but we are just there 2 nights ( we fly in one sat early in case of any issues or delays) and figure in August some nice pool or beach time is all we need. And at that rate I thought we can't go wrong. Hope to get upgraded with my Hyatt status but we will see!

  6. My daughter is SO excited about having a genie that might "hook her up" with cupcakes when mom says no! 😀 She wants to start called BG the genie by his or her name when talking about them! 😀 Anyone recently off (on currently on) the allure and might know their name? Room 1720 sky loft. Thank you! ( we sail in August and know it might change but a name for now will sure make her happy!!) thank you!!!

  7. I read somewhere chops grill is open for lunch? Does anyone know it that is true? If so, is there a charge? And anyone have the menu? Any other specialty restaurants open for lunch or even breakfast for that matter. Anyone have reg dinning room lunch and breakfast menu.? We don't eat in the buffet so trying see options. ( long story why, and I am sure windjammer is excellent so not trying to start a debate on that) ;):)

We will be on the allure if that naked a difference. Thanks so much!!

  8. We will be in the sky loft (star suite) on the allure. Do you know can you order one item on the menu (chilled soup) but then still go out to dinner later?

And the menus posted had chops listed. Does that or can you order. It just from Main dinning room but also specialty restaurants?

And is food still hoy when it arrives? On nil about 4 years ago we had a room with a. Utter and loved the idea of a relaxing dinner in the room but it took usually 2 hours for food to arrive and end. It did was always cold

  9. Feel free to keep reservations if you want, but I would just let your genie do his/her job and take care of it for you.

It was SOO nice just at the end of a day making a decision about wanting to eat at Chops and then the next night deciding to do Izumi, etc. Remember you don't even need to do it before you board. Go with the flow and change up plans as you want!

We got our pre-cruise survey about 2 weeks before sailing and contact from the genie himself 1 week before.

Rob, what. Dinning have you enjoyed the most? I know it's subjective but just curios. We'd were thinking of even trying some of the fee places for lunch. Only thing is hubby doesn't want to miss chilled souls from main dinning room we gave seen on some sample menus. Maybe they can bring him a bowl to our room as a pre dinner snack 😍😍

Are you having a great time and do you enjoy star class?!

  10. Hi, I have seen the daily activities posted but as a 1st RC cruiser I have a general question on the kids club. We will be on the allure and my daughter is 8.

They have the day broken out into 3 sections, morning, afternoon, evening. Within each section is a list of activities.( Gaga ball, volcanos, color explosion flags, etc)

Do those all go on at once, or one at time and the group of kids all moves from one activity to the next?

What if a child doesn't want to play tag for example, or color butterflies ( 2 sample activities I am using just as examples) what does the child do? Call mom to be picked up or are their other things for them to do on heir own? ( computers, coloring, movies as examples)

Are they all in one large room or is there freedom to Roam around from room to room. (Assuming there is more then one room) again, she is8, so Loki g for info on that group. Not a ton of photos of the space(s) online.

THANK YOU in advance for any help!

  11. So I have to ask... Are you enjoying the star service? Knowing what you know now would you still book it? We just booked 1720 on 8/21 but still think.... Will we love it? Which I think you kinda have to for the price.

For the bridge deck tour do you think they would allow my daughter to stand or sit in the captains chair for a photo?

Have you found yourself eating in main dining room at all...? Hubby thinks we should take advantage of the fee restaurants as he thinks they might e better? We gave. Beef nailed RC so have no reference point.

Also, think star class gets any perks for seeing a character or two. Knowing where they might pop up, or even one knocking on the door one night? My daughter would freak out!

Any experience with the kids club? I gave a few general questions but can post this on the ani board too. 😀 have so much fun!!!
