  1. Hi there,

We are booked on IOS and my niece and her SO are also joining us but are hesitant about things they could do onboard. Iam wondering if there is a sample of a Compass anywhere that I could show them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

  2. Hi All

I am a relative new cruiser. Have 2 under my belt so far. One was Princess and one was RCCL. Some in my family want to try DCL but I am a little worried as we have no small children we are all adults. Is there enough for adults to do and would we have a good time? We are looking at the Dream for a 3 night sailing. Any insight would be appreciated!!

  3. Hello all,

Well I just finished my first cruise with RCI and just my second cruise period.

There was a lot to like and some frustrating things as well. Trying to register with Crown and Anchor is been a bit trying to say the least.

My question is do my husband and I need separate member numbers?

After two weeks of trying I finally got one and when I try and enter my husband's information I keep getting error messages. I tried to call and my wait time was over 15 minutes. Can anyone help?

    Thanks so much

  4. I know how you feel. Just finished our first cruise. Do the sea bearing lumberjack in Ketichan. I really wish we had done the floatplane but you cannot do everything.. Skagway we did the train/bus if you want pictures this is great and you still have time to walk around Skagway which is cute. In Juneau I would do a whale watching tour and the the Mendahall glacier both are things you will never forget.

But no matter what you do you will have fun, I promise.

  5. We were in Alsaka just last week and the weather good. It went from cold to beautiful. Most of our port days started out cool but warmed up. Dressing in layers is the key. We would tie our jackets around our waist or stuff them in our backpacks. You will definitely need gloves and a hat that covers your ears. You will need jackets and rain gear as well. Not sure where you live but we are from Florida so cold can be what you are used to. Now if the wind kicks up and the ship is cruising you might find that a little brisk. Also while cruising Hubbard you will be cold but it is so worth it.

    It was an amazing vacation.

  6. Hello All,

So excited now . So close. My question has to do with the set sail pass. We are flying into Vancouver a few days early , should we print our set sail pass now and store them in our luggage until we board the ship or try and print them at the hotel's computer center.

    Let me know your thoughts.

  7. Hello All,

I cannot believe it our first cruise is almost here. I want to say without this site I would have been lost. I want to thank everyone for their advice and suggestions. Everyone was so helpful.

Now for another question, what time can we board our ship? I have heard we can get on early. Any help would as always be greatly appreciated.

  8. Hello All,

Our trip is fast approaching. I cannot believe that it is almost here.

I do have a question about packing, is there anything you are not allowed to bring on board? We are flying of course so I am sure we will be okay, but just in case there is something we would not know since we are cruise novice. As always the help is much appreciated.

    Thank you

  9. Well I am stressing myself out and causing others in my group to stress. Not good for a vacation, but when this is one of the biggest vacations you have ever done you want to get it right. So looking at Ketichan and Skagway and excursions. Float planes are not an option so wish they were. With that being said any suggestions on what excursions to take , some are looking for scenery and others in our group active. Me I would like to see some beautiful scenery and then explore the port especially Ketichan it looks so interesting. Any suggestions for these two ports would be great. I so appreciate all the suggestions. Thank you in advance.

  10. Hello All,

We are on our first cruise and first trip to Alaska. There are 10 of us. And we are all of varying ages. My daughters and nieces and nephew are 26-27 and are looking for more adventure than riding on a train. They like hiking and some physical activity not extreme though. Can anyone suggest excursions they might like. As always I am always thankful for the advice and suggestions.

  11. Hello All.

Trying to decide on an excursion while in Skagway. We were going to do the White Pass Scenic Railroad tour, but saw another one called Up the Summit and that one looks good too.On the Up the Summit they stop and let you out. Can anyone tell me the difference and if you think one is better than the other.

As always thanks for all the input and help. Could not have planned this cruise without this site and all the wonderful people on it.
