Does the suite lounge on Liberty have wine and beer available most of the day, as the Oasis class ships do? Or is it only available during the cocktail party hours?
Thanks, Pat

I would very much like to hear something official from RCCL on this. If it will be effective almost immediately, you would think they would have publicized it before this. I'd love to think it was just one ship taking a wild hair....

I've noticed that the luggage tags can come a few days after 49 lately.
Ours came in yesterday at 46 days for Liberty May 13 sailing.

Yes, free to suite guests. Lunch is typically either strip steak, salmon or chicken. Breakfast is every day, different times whether a sea day or port day. Typically, port days are 7-9 AM and sea days 8-10 AM with eggs various ways including benedict, pan cakes, fruit, various pastries, omelets, meats, etc.
Thanks so much for your reply. Our only other cruise in a full suite was many years ago and was a last-minute upsell, so this time we're trying to find our way around before we get on board.
Thank you, Pat

There was also lunch at least they had it last year n Giovanni’s on sea days, it was a very small menu and not Italian
By "access" do you mean that lunch on sea days and breakfasts are free for passengers sailing in suites? Is breakfast in Giovanni's available every day for suite guests? And what type of dishes are on the limited menu?
Thanks, Pat

Here is a link to the long thread which contains the names and emails of the current concierges: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2276527

Bob's replies are always informative and balanced, with juuust a little touch of snarky humor thrown in occasionally to keep things real.

I see that nothing has improved overnight. Still stuck on the page verifying my information. Enter all my information and click on "update my account" and the bar loads about 75% and freezes. Same as all day yesterday.
I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!!!
Me too. Information bar is stuck on 75% or so. Very frustrating - only ray of sunshine is that we don't have a cruise coming up until May and I had already booked dining and shore excursion for that. They couldn't take until May to get if fixed, could they:o:eek:?
I tried to do the re-registration through the Celebrity site, and same results.

Breakfast was complementary but I don't remember lunch being offered.

Thank you. Something about lunch at Chops is mentioned on the suite welcome letter above, but breakfast is what we were really interested in. Thanks for your reply.

Will be on Liberty in an Owner's Suite in May. Is the "reserved private breakfast" and/or lunch in Chops complimentary, or is it merely a reserved area?
Thanks, Pat

The staterooms categories change for all RC ships in May 2018.
Which would explain why looking at the plans without reading all the categories didn't tell me what was changing:o! As long as they're not going to be doing construction right above our cabin, I'm good.
Thanks, Bob.

The deck plans on Royal's site and on others show the decks as of February 25, 2018 to April 29, 2018, and then change again May 6, 2018 to April 28, 2019. Does anyone know why the plans change and what is being done to Liberty? We cruise on her on May 13, 2018 which is just after one of the changed plans dates.

The app didn't work for me when I used it in Jan
We tried to use the app after our December cruise on Serenade. It would not work, even after I deleted the app and went through the whole process, including pics, again. Same thing happened to the couple ahead of us in the customs line, which was over an hour long at that point, leading me to believe that the failure may have been widespread that day. We landed on a Friday after an 11-day cruise, so maybe the somewhat nonstandard landing day was a factor:rolleyes:? BTW, there was no fee involved in using the app. We have an earlier flight than I had hoped for on our Allure cruise in September, but are in a suite so will use the concierge escort. I don't trust that app any more.

Thanks so much for your reply. Yeah - you do get what you pay for. In this case, sounds like we'll be able to book an earlier and less expensive flight than we were afraid we would have to. Thanks again,

If you have a Suite or Pinnacle the Concierge will guide you, off bypassing everyone, at the time you want - just ask. If not, take all your junk with you, be the first walk-off and stage at 06:00 at the gangway portal, and roll off. We used to do that prior to making Pinnacle or having a Suite. You'll get the first cabs to the airport. That's what I would do.
This will be our first time using the services of a concierge for disembarkation. When we landed in FLL in December off of Serenade, the line for customs was over an hour long, and the Mobile Passport app was not working. Does the concierge escort you to the front of the customs line, or merely to the front of the line for disembarking the ship? Trying to nail down what flight we can hope to make without too much stress. Also, does the concierge escort you if you are doing self-disembark, or only if checking your luggage?
Thanks, Pat

Why use a comma to make something clear when a period can introduce ambiguity? (Royal's fine print, not your statement)
Oh, Lord. After I finished rolling on the floor, I decided I have a new philosophy of life, at least as applied to manuals, newspaper headlines, newsletters, and of course, Royal Caribbean communications in all forms.

Yes, if you will be in Grand Suites or better.
Yes, OS on Liberty and GS on Allure. Thanks, Bob.

For our next two cruises (Liberty and Allure) we will be in suites. We are Diamond level with C&A. Will we have access to both the Suite Lounge and the Diamond Lounge with our card if we choose?
Thanks, Pat

Hook firmly set in mouth. ;p;)
I hear you. I'm going to be afraid to even walk past a Star Class cabin!
Thanks for all your replies. I'm sure I'm overthinking this and it all be good.

DH still has one question. When you walk in, do you wait in line, walk past the line, or is there a separate entrance or line for suite guests? Thanks again. We'll get a handle on this yet!

Thank you both, John and Bob. I've resisted sailing on one of the big ships for years (can we say N.O.O.O.T.S?) and now I don't understand how it all works. I suspect I'll be both a big ship and a Grand suite or above convert after this.

John, Bob, or anyone. This will be our first time on one of the "big girls" and I realized that I still don't know how the "no reservations for shows" works. We will be in a Grand Suite, and are at Diamond level. How do we see the shows when we want without reservations? Diamond concierge? Suite concierge? Or do we still need reservations? They aren't open for our sailing yet. Thanks for your help on this. PatNo need for reservations to shows except comedy Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app -
Do it! Keep in mind you get beer from 11am to 11 pm!
First cruise in a GS coming in September on Allure. Did not know that happy hour times in suite lounge were different from DL, which we're used to. Also, we don't have to book shows on Allure in advance? This is sounding better and better.

Did you get a e-mail confirm. When I book something on cruise planner whether entertainment, dining, excursions, I get a e-mail confirm the transaction & pricing
We booked a shore excursion for our upcoming Liberty cruise yesterday at a good price, but haven't received an e-mail confirmation. This is the first time we haven't gotten one, and I'm a little nervous. It does show in our calendar, however, so they obviously know about it. I like to have a piece of paper in hand when I board, just in case. We booked a specialty restaurant ($24 for Giovanni's!) today, and got the confirmation e-mail right away.

Thanks, Bob. Wish it were most of the day, but then I'm probably being greedy;).
