We will be in GC on Jan 2 at 10 am. When we tender into port, will there be excursion companies there offering their services? DS wants to do stingray trip, but Carnival has an age requirement that he is too young. Hoping there will be offers as we get into port.

Drink package, no, you can each take on a 12 pack, but you have to carry on. If only buffet, I would only take one nice outfit. I think the photo opportunities on cruises are great. Actually, you can get away with just a few shorts, shirts, bathing suits and but tshirts at ports.

We love Ft Desoto park's north beach. Beautiful. Cayman beaches are different, but plenty of space to lounge and beautiful water.

Is there anywhere along 7 mile beach that serve cracked conch? I see a lot of restaurants have conch fritters, but not cracked conch. Any help appreciated. It is my hubby's all time fav meal.

I saw mention of a water park being built next to the port this summer. Does anyone know the name of it? When it will open? Thx.

I took one cruise on RC and hated it. Dining room staff rushed us through dinner even though almost no one came to dinner. Room steward didn't make our bed, pulled up bedspread and folded down and stacked our pillows. Beds were awful, was like I was sleeping in a canoe, forget about getting frisky, you had to pull yourself up out of a hole. Food was bland. For now on, Carnival only unless they don't go where we want. BTW, I will be on my 6th Carnival cruise this December.

Sorry to say, but she sounds like a bitter person that whatever caused her child to be wheelchair bound occurred. I don't think anything could have made her happy.

Last time I was there, there was a hard crushed shell walkway most of the way to the beach, but it really wasn't that far.

11years ago we fished from a dock in Belize and caught a huge snook. Carried it through town, found a restaurant that let my hubby clean it, they cooked it, and only charged us for our cokes.

Does anyone know if Carnival is a stickler for age minimum on excursions? I ask because we want to take our 10 year old on the stingray and coral garden excursion and it says min age is 12. Private excursion companies allow any age, so don't understand why carnival has this limit. We would like to book through carnival but may have to go through private.

Carnivals sushi was good. It smelled strong because they often served mackerel, a very strong smelling fish.

Sorry, but I am picky.

Was wondering if can take a wine bottle opener on Pride in my checked luggage? Have you all had any issue? Don't want to pay someone to open!

Where is a good spot to snorkel on 7 mile beach close to shore? Don't care about chairs, showers, or drink. Just somewhere to get in the water and snorkel with a nice beach area to sit under a palm after swimming.

My friends just came home Sunday and they missed GC on their cruise and replaced with sea day.

Thank you very much.

We will be on New Years cruise in December this year. Will they still be decorated for Christmas and will they have Christmas themed/winter themed photo backgrounds?

I personally love love love Carnivals beds. I did one RCCL cruise and our bed was like sleeping in a hammock, complained and they brought a foam topper that didn't do anything to help. Sleep like a baby when on Carnival.

Why I would want cash...

Better deals in port with cash. Cash for parking at port is shorter line.
