  1. We always get afternoon flights home. Take an excursion that takes us to the airport, so we don't carry around our luggage all day.

We are thinking of taking a cruise in May, last minute decision for us. But may need to be home early and the last day.

What are some stories or experiences, good and bad, taking our own luggage off, getting a taxi to the airport and making it for an early flight. And how early have you made your flight out? 9:30 am, 10:30 am?

I KNOW THIS IS PROBABLY A BAD IDEA. But I wanted to get some ACTUAL experiences of people doing this.

Thank you in advance for your stories.

As far as excursions, somewhere here is a thread on how to look at the cruise planner for another cruise than yours.   So, you find one same ship same ports that is fairly soon.   Then you use the format in the thread to finangle the webaddress to see the excursions for that cruise.   Won't help with purchasing, but it will give you an idea of what is available.

I've seen this and used it but I cannot find again. Can anyone link it?

  3. We don't sale until January 2025. We have a LARGE family going.  I want to purchase drink packages one month, excursions one month, and onboard activities another month. to spread out the cost.  I have looked and can't seem to figure out if January 2024, next month, cruise planner items will be available or if it's more 6 months before the cruise.

I know I can save and pay it all at once but that is easier said than done. LOL

    Thank you in advance

  4. We have a group cruise planned in 2025. Obviously the cruise planner is not open yet to purchase excursions, drink packages, etc.  Is it possible to buy OBC now and when the cruise planner opens up for purchases, we can then reserve items? Sorta like I can buy $100 OBC each month so I have enough credit to buy 6 drink packages when they become available.

Please don't say just save it and then buy it because if it is available to me, I will find other ways to spend it. 🤣

  5. I am not trying to get free drinks LOL.  I don't want to pay if I don't HAVE to.  Does a 3 year need to get a refreshment package?  I will get them for my older kids because they feel fancy with their frozen drinks. I have emailed RC and was told anyone over 21 has to get the deluxe package if in the same cabin.  I know I can call.  that is not my question.  I specifically asked for a 3 and a 5 year old.  If they are not able to get drinks unless I pay for them, I will pay for them.  They will not drink as much as the older kids. So I don't want to pay for a package if I don't have to. The bigger kids, they will want to try everything.

What is the MINIMUM age to HAVE to purchase a drink package.

  6. I'm not sure how to ask this question........ We have a large family of 17 going.  8 adults, 4 teens and tweens, 2 younger kids and 3 under 3.  I know the cabanas say for up to 8 people, (2 additional for extra fee and I would pay for the extra people).  If they are coming and going all day and not all there at the same time, will I be able to get just one cabana? I just want a location for everyone to check in and leave their stuff, and a place for the babies to nap in the shade.   If I get 2 cabanas, can I specify 2 next to each other? Our cruise isn't until 2025 so excursion prices are not out yet.  I don't remember the cost, we were just there a month ago.  That was not something I needed then so didn't pay attention to the price. What is the average price of an over water cabana or does this change like excursions do?  I have plenty of time but I am a planner and want to budget things.

    Thanks

  7. I read somewhere that it is not safe to eat conch, but that article turned out to be from 2016.

Then I read don't eat raw conch as it may have a bacteria, gastrointestinal issues.

But then the conch salad is a must try.

So, which is it? Raw verses fried, or boiled or ?

A current answer is what I am looking for LOL.

  8. We are sailing later this year and are debating on Bidding to upgrade our cabin.  We are currently in a balcony cabin. I chose it and it is unobstructed.   I would prefer unobstructed obviously, but that won't upset my cruise.  I am on vacation, that is the main thing.  So my question is..... Are there any bad junior suite cabins, bad locations, are there any obstructed junior suites?  I know I am taking a chance if I decide to bid, just wanting to be prepared for what could happen.  Thanks,

  9. This is a 3 part question.........

In 1999, hubby and I went to Nassau and stayed in a hotel that is no longer there. Or I can't find it.  It was on Cable Beach.  Possibly Baha Mar purchased it?

I think it was called Nassau Beach Hotel.  Does anyone know?

Can anyone tell me what beach this excursion goes to specifically?  It says West side and lists 2 beaches.

What are your thoughts on this excursion? Good and Bad.

    Thank you

  11. I have done both.  First ordered from the cruise planner it was just hubby and I.  It was a surprise for him. Walking down the hall to our cabin he remarked that "Oh we should have done that".  Got to our cabin and Voila!  It was decorated similar to the photo above.  I thought about ordering cake or something but like others have said, you can get the same or similar items for free if you just ask.

Second time it was a bachlorette group.  7 of us.  2 kept the bachlorette occupied while the rest decorated the cabins.  It took a little work and was def alot cheaper but we managed.

I still have the decorations from the first cruise and would do it again.
