$300 for renting, no lesson, need to be able to put yourself in. $480 for rent and lesson. Both are for one hr.
Is this something new? Because when we rented it privately (in 2009) it was $300 for the hour and we had 2 instructors with us at all times.

My family rented the FlowRider privately on our Liberty OTS cruise and it was the BEST $300 we ever spent! There are 5 of us, although it was our 3 kids that used it the most, and we had it for an hour. We also has 2 instructors who taught the kids tricks and had my step-daughter standing up surfing by the end of the hour. the kids had such a blast we debated about renting it a second time during that cruise, but never got around to it.
We are on the Oasis next week and it will be the first thing I sign up for once we board. My kids are already talking about it.

Great review...we're headed to the Oasis in LESS THAN 3 WEEKS!!!

Our cruise leaves in a little more than 6 weeks and I'm trying to figure out how much CASH I am going to need to bring.
I know I'll need cash for the taxis, but do I need cash for the restaurants to rent chairs and eat? Will I need cash for parasailing? or can I put all that on my credit card?

Great review! Can'w wait till we get on the Oasis and try a bunch of your recommendations!

Enjoying your review...keep it coming!

We picked deck 10 for our 2011 cruise so we could be "in the middle" of everything. 5 flights up or down for the kids when they want food. We're closer to the back of the ship as that is where it seems we spend most of our time.

Great review! I truly enjoyed reading it.

GREAT REVIEW!
We have to wait until November for our cruise, BUT your review & pictures has convinced me to rent the flowrider for my kids when we go!

Thanks everyone... last night I ordered brochures from all the "Big" lines... Princess, Celebrity, HAL, RCL, Norwegian, & Carnival.
So now it's time to pour over them, pick an itineraty, and go from there!

Thanks everyone.... Looks like I have ALOT of research to do. Time to start ordering some Alaska cruise brochures!

I know this is completely by preference, but I'm just curious. I've started to read everyone's reviews and I'm real excited.
DH & I (and our 3 kids) were on the 7/3 Carnival Miracle cruising the Western Caribbean, we had a BLAST :) . DH & I are now considering taking an Alaskan cruise (WITHOUT kids :D ) in either 2006 or 2007. When we were cruising with the kids it was an easy choice with Carnival, but now that I don't have to have a water slide, or a ship with good kids activities, I know my options are vast!!!
We're looking to do a one-way cruise with the possiblilty of a tour added on, either ship sponsored or on our own.
So.... who did you choose and why?
Thanks,
Eileen

We are staying at the Chase Suites the night before our 7/3 Miracle cruise. Does anyone know where there is a supermarket/wal-mart around that I can buy a case of water before getting on the ship?
Thanks!

I watched your video last night, it was wonderful. Now I'm thinking of taking this tour and not doing cave tubing in Belize.
