Hi all,
I've read elsewhere the vibe on MSC ships is very different on the 4 night cruises. Does this apply to Yacht Club as well? There are some great prices on Yacht Club interior cabins and I thought it might be worth a try? Our only previous MSC experience was a 7 night cruise on Meraviglia during Covid when the ships were fairly empty. Any input would be much appreciated!

Looks like changes were made today... The only Voyagers Club discount icon I can find shows "5% discount" and the Healthcare Heroes icon now shows "up to 10% discount". Any chance the 5%+15% will return or was this just a Covid era discount? Thanks for any input!!

Anyone else getting pricing which only reflects a 5% discount lately? The last few days, no matter how I use workarounds to get my Voyager number to apply within the 5%+15% deals section, I end up with only 5% pricing at the end of a mock booking. Should I assume this is just a website glitch since the sailing is showing valid for the 5%+15% promo? Thanks for any input!!

I just had my TA cancel our April 16th cruise on Summit this morning. (Non refundable $200 deposit) Celebrity told her I have until May 31st to book and April 2023 to sail.

Hi everyone,
I noticed this sailing is now missing from the Celebrity site as well as a big box site. Just last week there were ample cabins in Aqua class, not to mention all of the other classes. Has anyone heard if they are further limiting capacity due to the rise in Covid cases? In my planner it still shows all of my information, so I don't believe it was cancelled? Any input would be much appreciated.

Chris

Thanks so much for all the feedback!! That is very helpful! I didn't realize those cabins were newer. I think I'll go ahead and make the switch to try it out!

Hi all,
We booked a 5 day to the Dominican on Summit for April 22'. I am currently booked in cabin 9043 (Aqua angled balcony) Does anyone have experience with the 1100-1110 cabins shown in the image? the second image is from the other side, but I think they are the same? They look like they would have a great view and lots of sun, but I'm concerned wind could be an issue. Any input would be much appreciated!

Chris

Thanks for the information. Our son and his two friends (age 19 & 20) are in an aft-facing on our sailing next week on Meraviglia. Hopefully the bunk beds aren't too short for them!

Thanks for all your information thus far! We are considering Seashore in Feb. 2022. Did you happen to see if the Manhattan restaurant is truly it's own restaurant for Aurea guests? Or if it's just a smaller venue serving the same menu as the main dining room? I'm really curious as to what the menu is. I'm hoping it's similar to Blu on Celebrity for it's Aqua guests. Any feedback would be much appreciated!!

Chris

We are considering the 3 dinner dining experience on Meraviglia in October. It shows $77 per person. If any of you have done this did you feel it was a good value? Seems pretty inexpensive to try out the three restaurants shown above. Thanks for any input!

Hey everyone!
Would I be safe in booking a flight home out of Miami for 12:55pm? I've never had a problem in the past, but with the Covid protocols in place is this pushing it?? Anyone hear how disembarking has gone so far on the short sailings? Thanks!

I'm also curious about this. In particular, do either of the packages allow for uploading files? I'm on the October 2nd sailing on Meraviglia out of Miami. I may have do some work during the week which would require uploading files (5-25mb avg.) and accessing a freelance site. It was slow on NCL but I made it work, just curious what to expect from MSC. Thanks!

I was talked out of picking one of these cabins. The veranda looked very nice but the agent on the phone told me that she has been on hundreds of these cruises and why in the world would you want to pick one where you have a shared door that will pick up noise so easily from people you’re not family with. I’m still questioning that. We ended up picking 12263. That was based on her recommendation. The other cabin that you chose looks larger from the layout. I would love an answer on that one as well
Yes, I can see the risk of that. Hopefully with limited occupancy the inside cabin will remain empty??? We actually have 12350 as well. I was trying to decide whether to trade with my in-laws who are sailing with us.

Hi everyone,
Has MSC announced capacity limits for the first few sailings to the Caribbean? I couldn't find it in their new protocols information site. Thanks!! Chris

You can call MSC and have the assign your cabin number. Mine was showing as a guarantee too, and we really wanted the one we had originally selected. I called and they took care of it.
Thanks!! I just messaged my TA. She's working on it.

We are on the October 2nd sailing on Meraviglia. My cruise planner shows the new itinerary, which is not very compelling!! Two stops at their private island, Nassau, and Ocho Rios doesn't give much variety. Original itinerary was San Juan, St. Thomas, Nassau, and Private Island. Oh well, we are desperate to get back on the ocean so we will stick with it.
Update... Now our cabins only list as guarantees, so we'll see what happens??

I may be wrong but I think I had them one time in Blu.
You are correct. I have had them in BLU as well. Unfortunately my last experience was in 2017, so that may not be a very reliable source for today.

We're booked on the October 2nd sailing... We're hoping too!! Good luck to us all!

Hi Everyone!!
I took the plunge and booked for October 2nd on the Meraviglia. We chose Fantastica over Aurea because of the uncertainty with what the Covid restrictions will be onboard. I don't see an option in my booking to purchase a thermal spa pass. Am I correct in assuming that if they decide to allow use of the thermal spa area, this will open for purchase prior to sailing? Or... is this something I may need to call about? Also, does anyone have an idea of what pricing for the week may look like? Thanks in advance for any input!!

I'm curious on this as well. We have always enjoyed the Blu restaurant on Celebrity with Aqua class cabins. I was hoping this would be something similar. Where did you find the draft specs?

Hey everyone,
I realize cruises out of Miami in May are a long shot. If I book a cruise for May and it gets canceled, would I be able to apply the FCC to a cruise for this October? Just curious if there is any issue applying these immediately to a new cruise. I am ok tying up the money if I knew there would be the benefit of the 125% amount. Just as an FYI this is for 2 cabins on Meriviglia for a Caribbean sailing. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks for the additional feedback regarding being separated. After weighing all of this I think we'll go with Aurea for this one. If we enjoy MSC, I'll shoot for YC on the new ship (Seashore) for 2022 when it would likely be just my wife and I. Thanks again and happy sailing to you all!!

Thanks everyone for the responses, very much appreciated! I think we will try and make it work. Maybe even do a couple of days at Disney or Universal since this one will be out of Port Canaveral.
