We got the C&A $100 balcony discount for our boardwalk balcony, but I called and reserved via phone.

Skates are definitely not sharp and hard to skate in. I gave up after 10 minutes, too much work.

We rebooked yesterday -- we got to stay in the same cabins and saved net $533 after we lost our OBC. Worth it to me for sure!

We just used this service on 3/28 and it went very smoothly - no problems at all!

Walk ups were welcome, you did not have to book in advance. They are right in the Royal Caribbean cruise terminal when you disembark after customs. We enjoyed the rest of our day in the French Quarter without worrying about all of our luggage!

interested in this as well...have a late flight on our return day and would like to not worry about my luggage.

Question about Alcohol purchase/policy for Triumph out of Galveston. You mentioned you were drinking a beer by 12:15...Carnival rep is telling me that there is no alcohol sales on day 1 of the cruise and that you can't purchase drink package. Can you purchase alcohol while in Galveston, can you bring a bottle of wine that you carry on to dinner.

Can anyone advise what there is to do after 5pm when the pools, etc. close? Our ship is in port until midnight…so if we are going to buy day passes I'd like to stay. What else will we be able to do (we have 2 kids with us…are they allowed in the casino?)

Just as an update we used Resortsforaday booking for Comfort Suites and did not have a problem. Highly recommended! Just take a can from the cruise port and go down Comfort Suites get your tickets, walk over Atlantis! Going back we just took the cab back!

Question about Resorts for a day…the price is showing no tax…are there any hidden fees for taxes and/or resort fee's or is the price, the price?

We brought a case of sealed water on Navigator this past week - unfortunately they lost it anyway (never made it to our room nor did they have record of it being held), so they replaces it with a 12 pack of Evian from the bar! Great CS for Royal Caribbean!

We are cruising next Spring and our ship is in port in Nassau from 1:00p - midnight. Before I had paid any attention to the arrival, I wanted to take my boys to Atlantis for the day (those darn commercials…my 8 year old has wanted to go to Atlantis for the last 2 years…imagine his surprise when we went to AtlanTA 2 summers ago and it looked nothing like the commercial :P).
Anyway…from what I'm reading on this board, Atlantis shuts down the pools/slides/beach/tours of the aquarium at 5pm…which doesn't leave much time to get there and explore so I'm thinking it's not worth the money.
What do people do in Nassau from 5pm-midnight??

Also, is there anything to do there after 5 pm if the pool, slides, tours, close?

How much is a taxi ride to Comfort Suites? How far is the walk from CS to Atlantis?

For those that have been to LFK...where did you keep your valuables when you were on the snorkeling trip? Because I've never booked outside of the cruise ship, I would think we should bring our passports with instead of leaving them in the safe aboard the ship, in the event we miss the boat and need to get out...suggestions?
I emailed them and they said they do not have lockers but you can "leave your valuables at the bar"...not so sure I'm hip on that idea.
-
Thanks for the advice.
One last question...you must always bring your passport with you in the event that you do get left behind...how do you manage to go to a beachy/snorkeling type adventure with passport in tow...I would be hesitate for both of us to get in the water and leave them unsupervised.
-
We have always booked our excursions through RCI because of the assurance that we would never miss the ship. We are headed to Roatan/Belize/Cozumel this fall and there are some excursions that interest us that RCI does not offer.
Has anyone ever done an independent tour and been left behind? I'm sure there are lots of people who have done it and it was fine, just curious how often it actually happens that someone IS indeed left behind...and how you resolve that if it were to happen.
I think that if I know I have a contingency plan, I'd be less afraid to do it vs. hearing how many people it hasn't been an issue for KWIM?
TIA!

I did the decorating class on Freedom of the seas and had fun. The kids class is separate and different from the adult one.

We were on Freedom of the Seas last Halloween…there was a costume parade, costume party - for the kids they had trick or treating and a costume party as well. Not as many carved pumpkins as I expected, but they had some pretty cool ones around the ship as well as decorations.

I am only a Gold member…and I love that even at Gold you get priority boarding, had no idea because we haven't cruised in 10 years, but we brought our kids and I was SOOO grateful to have the short line to check in!
We did not receive a paper booklet, they were loaded on our sea pass card. We used both drink discounts BOGO and 10% off, the Internet % off, the Spa % off, Photo discount (we only bought 2 photos), and the Free Bingo card. So there are some good ones on there :)!

On seas days you have to pick up for meal times - kids club is open from like 9am-12pm, then 2pm-5pm, then 7-10pm for free. They have late night club from 10pm-2am for $7 an hour per kid. On port days you can check them in and leave the ship, they will feed them lunch.
