  1. Do the one with Geiranger, it simply is the most awesome place in a fjord. Sailing into and from and also going to the top of Mt. Dalsnibba is so wonderful.!
  2. In case you still need to test by then, check the webiste of spoedtest.nl They have various locations in Amsterdam. I am sure in your hotel people can tell you the one closest to the place you are staying. As far as I know no more testing at the cruise terminal.
  3. Yes there is. However you will need to stand in line and will see the wheelchair assistance desk after checking in your luggage. That is the one that will bring you to your gate. Before that at the airport at various locations you will see public wheelchairs you can use but you need a 2 Euros coin to open the lock for it.
  4. Yes there is a taxistand at the cruise terminal. But there might be a line of passengers depending how many people disembark the ship at the same time. Often the exact docking place of rivercruise ships is known only a few days before. Almost all of them dock more or less around Centraal Station. I am sure that any cabdriver knows about it and there sure will be some cabs around by then.
  5. We did the Indonesia cruise some years ago on HAL. Indonesia has many things to offer, more then just Bali. What made this cruise so special was the fact that family of the crew could visit their sons/husbands/father etc. Also many of them were allowed on board. We made many family photos for them. I remember one of our cabin boys could not work that night as he was in his cabin crying after leaving his family again. Of course we limited the service in our cabin those days so the crew could have more time for the family.
  6. Either your reply is a joke or you donot know how busy train tracks are in NL.
  7. I did not know that, too bad, we liked the small group in the minibus. But I am sure the tour is still worth it.
  8. I checked it again and we did this one, since it was by minibus with 16 passengers. Great tour. https://www.visitnorway.com/listings/panorama-exclusive-bus-geiranger/205516/?fbclid=IwAR0_KpF6NirSHIj2yOObUlgeh-AGSgP36ZmIugnNVad3z654sHPA_2RCgoc
  9. We have done the Panorama tour a few years ago. So easy to do by yourself indeed. Pre book or else the tour might be full. You will enjoy it!
  10. Contact one of these drivers. http://www.abcbusiness-limo.com/index1_eng.htm or https://www.schiphol.nl/en/page/by-taxi-to-and-from-schiphol/ or https://www.taxicentrale-schiphol.nl/en/
  11. Maybe your ship offers a tour like that. Otherwise you can try to find a private driver, which will be rather difficult with that many people and it might be very expensive. The other way will be public transport. As an example I give you this link. It mean you need to walk to the bus stop, take bus 382 to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. From there take a train to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Expected time to travel just over 1 hour. In that case you need bus tickets and also traintickets which you can buy online. https://9292.nl/en/journeyadvice general information here: https://9292.nl/en Across from Centraal Station there will be canal cruises offered.
  12. Assuming you fly on a weekend, be aware the airport will be busy anyway. Most schools start in September but there hardly be any difference. Try to be at the airport at least 4 hours prior. In case you fly business class sometimes there is a separate line for that.
  13. If you use the search option, you will find plenty of hotels mentioned. Much depends if you want to be close to the terminal, or more close to e.g. museums etc.
  14. Lisa BA was in terminal 2, but after Brexit changed that to Terminal 3. In general 3 is a bit less busy than the other terminals. In case you prefer a cab, check this website for a fixed price to Schiphol airport. They need an exact time to pickup or there is a small surcharge. https://www.tcataxi.nl/en/tca-news/fixed-fare-to-schiphol-airport/
  15. Lisa and others, check those live webcams! https://live.netcamviewer.nl/Webcam-Kade-PTA/242?fbclid=IwAR32noWMQhmF6_Ge2cR3yjFklHGoyiPbp8hyJZi7i-N2D4t06L_HGp29Kgg and this one, it changes from time to time, you will see Centraal Station and surroundings, but of course also the Rtterdam sailing around 5pm local time. https://www.portofamsterdam.com/nl/ontdek/beleef-de-haven/webcam-amsterdam
  16. If you are happy with the cabin you booked, stay there! Vista suites are hardly larger. Also the beds are near the window, the couch near the bathroom, which we didnot like.
  17. I checked again, yes you are right. Indeed this bus ends at Elandsgracht which is a short walk to your hotel. So indeed it will be the last stop. When in doubt check with the driver.
  18. That is a regular bus, no express, but yes it comes close to your hotel. Most likely you have to gt off at Prinsengracht stop.
  19. There is no real bus terminal. Depending where your hotel is you can take a regular bus or a train. Which hotel or street are you staying? Also Google maps can be a great help.
  20. You will go through immigration in Amsterdam, (since you enter a Schengen country) luggage will go through to Copenhagen and you will go through customs there. No security check, so you will be fine if all flights are on time.
  21. I just remembered this place, one of our favorites in Puerto Vallarta. Restaurant Barracuda, close to old town. Situated on the beach, more or less behind Hotel Buenaventura. I can advise you to order the Molcajeta. You can choose it with beef (arachera), shrimps, seafood, or a combination of this. A special mexican dish, served sizling hot with rice and avocado. If you google it you will see examples. http://www.elbarracuda.com/en/
  22. Assuming you are not flying on a weekend (when it can be extremely busy at the airport) it is doable then. Just take a train to Centraal Station, trains leave from downstairs in the arrival hall after luggage pick up). It will take about 20 minutes. Either walk around or make a canal cruise which last for about one hour. Those ships leave from across Centraal Station and sail frequently. Best and easiest way to see the city.
  23. How long is a long layover? If more then e.g. 8-10 hours it is doable. However be back 4 hours prior your departure. Your luggage will go all the way to Copenhagen, you can store hand luggage at lockers. If less hours stay at the airport. Plenty of shops, restaurants and even a small Rijksmuseum.
  24. They are but not at the terminal. As far as I know they pick up at or near the parking area at the Sheraton airport hotel.
