My experience is the same as wdsted, as long as you do not get gready they usually wave the cost of an extra appetizer. Don't forget to tip your server when using the latitudes member perk

I have been wondering if class cruising is coming back? That is are we as a society going back to first class, second class, and steerage. With the increase in perks for suites, haven, restricted areas becoming the norm are we that far away from separate dinning, pool area etc.
Not sure of my feelings on this, just wondering what others are thinking

Always got ours back the next day and it was free since we are platinum latitudes members we can send it whenever we want.

Nicely said 2Beeze!

Don't miss it at all, love chocolate but hated the mad rush and plates left all over the ship. Just wish they would bring back the pillow mints and box of godiva

Is there really anyplace left in the carribien, central and South America and North America that is truly safe? All ports are trying their best to protect visitors, and give a sense of safety. Unfortunately there are many people who for various reasons will attempt to destroy the sense of being safe. Personally I feel threatened more by vendors and people trying to sell me something. Lastly you should always research beforehand

Just pondering why do people choose to cruise? For me it's all about the ride, I really enjoy relaxing, people watching the shows, Dinning etc. So let's hear why you cruise?
-
Sorry forgot to add I believe that it 120 days prior to sailing
-
Register and Check in to myncl, on the plan tab you will be able to click on the day and what's available will show for dinning and shows and indicate if reservation are required. Keep in mind that dinning on NCL is anytime so no reservations are required, you can make them if you like. Reservations are required for the upscale(pay) restaurants. Show reservations are dependent on the ship,

You are free to carry your luggage on as long as it fits through the scanner, as noted the corkage fee for each bottle is charged at boarding they will inspect your luggage prior to boarding. You might also consider the fact that your room will probably not be ready so you will have to schlep your bags around with you when you go to get something to eat or drink, not to mention getting on an elevator while the rest of the people on the cruise are trying to get to wherever they want to get to. Recommend you check your luggage minus a carry on and avoid the hassle

Last that I checked no cruise line if forcing people to take a cruise. There are many cruise lines to choose from why do people think that cruise lines are not a business, supply and demand determines the cost of a cruise. Perceived value is subjective
-
Unfortunately, there are many people that believe that they are smarter than others by cheaping out on cruises, and taking advantage of the people who work long and hard hours trying to make their vacation a special time. They don't seem to understand that working in a service industry does not make them your servants. I started this thread for just that reason with the wish that ALL, participate in crews just rewards. Remember what goes around comes around

No mini golf, not sure of ping pong, does have golf nets, ball court, chess sets, shuffle board,
-
There is a pull out line in the showers
-
No magnetic walls, they are steel you provide the magnets, have a great cruise
-

I understand that you can fill out a form and request an adjustment. Since the impression of poor service or service in general is subjective to the individual involved and with the frivolous complains I have seen on this site is the reason I made my wish in the first place

Let me be clear that the DSC does not confuse me nor do I resent it, in fact on all my cruises (16+) I always include extra cash tips over and above to reward exceptional service that I have always received. I just wish that these hard working staff will get all they deserve
-
I fully understand that my comment was to eliminate all reference to the DSC and just add the cost to the fare
-
I am a loyal platinum latitudes member and enjoy following CC but I would love to see NCL eliminate the DSC and just add it to the cruise fare, makes sense, less confusion for all. Just a note that the bar servers are not part of the DSC they participate through the 20% gratuity and are paid on commission (verified by ship officers)
-
I just wish that NCL would just add $15.00 a day to the cruise fare and eliminate the DSC sure would eliminate all the confusion.

I am always amazed that so many feel the need to make unrelated foolish replies to a post. I have no probkem with a battle of wits but refuse to engage with the unarmed

Hey LrgPizza, nice response except I don't want to lay around the pool, was just curious why people complain about not being able to get a lounger next to the pool, plenty of places to sun on the ship. By the way I only eat octagon waffles
-
I've been on more than 16 cruises and really wonder why people are so intent on getting a lounger next to the pool and then never go in the pool? So what's up?
Why do people traveling in a group feel that they are entitled to comender whole sections of the ship like they charted it
-
Usually don't book until I am on the cruise, that way I got a better idea of weather, never really had a problem getting one I want
Special diet (plant based - salt, oil and sugar free) on NCL
