Yes, from inside to balcony on sold out Thanksgiving cruise. Bid minimum 2 weeks out, bid accepted 2 days before sail date. They play musical cabins right up to sail date.
-
That's how it was meant to be.....only bid if you can accept any location on the ship. If you wanted a specific cabin, do it at booking, at that price.

Damn..I was hoping the “premium dessert” would mean I could get two free scoops of gelato per day..apparently gelato is more expensive than these things they’re making?
If they were to give something that people would actually like, there would be too many people getting them. This way it's mostly a one and done, and for some people, not even that.

2 fitness classes per voyage isn't really going to keep anybody in shape. I just hope they don't do away with the few complimentary classes they now have. I enjoy the stretch and abs classes they offer in the mornings.
And, don't miss out on the zumba and line dancing classes put on by the cruise staff. They were great on the Royal.

So, anyone care to speculate why the Royal is less expensive than the Ruby for the same cruise, Pacific NW rt SF April 23 vs April 30. Also, the Ruby seems to be almost sold out which leads to higher fares, so maybe the better question is why isn't the Royal selling as fast? 🤔

We don't always do a specialty restaurant, but when we do I like to go on the first night out. The menu in the MDR on the first night hasn't always been very interesting to me.
I agree about that 1st night menu. You would think they would want to make a good impression. I went for a princess favorite, but heard those have gone away with the new one page menu. Hope it's not true.

A heartbroken child isn't going to feel better because someone gave them a token monetary "reward". The issue here is the child's crushing disappointment. Princess offering $100 is the easiest and most tone-deaf response they could offer. It shows that they really don't understand the problem they caused and/or how to deal with a child's emotions. I gave a suggestion of perhaps a trip to the bridge to meet the captain? Instead of money, perhaps a gift that makes the child feel special? Maybe the presentation of a "Good Sport" award?
If your child came home emotionally devastated from an incident at school, would you respond by giving him/her $100 and sayin "now go away and be happy"?
A child? Had to be at least 18 years old.

You are to use a glass to add water or ice to a refillable bottle.
Water, Coffee, Tea, and most times Lemonade is included.
Ok thanks!

We will be sailing on the Ruby, standard package. Is there a refillable water bottle station at the buffet, and, what beverages are included at the buffet, besides coffee. We were just on the Royal but didn't check out the offerings since we had the plus package. Thanks in advace.

I order the non-alcoholic version of this and love it. It tastes like a chocolate shake with a banana in it. It is my favorite.
That's what it tasted like with the liquor
... lol.. not my thing, but I was up to trying it once

Tried that and click on Plus button at top of list of cruises, fare does not change but when I look at 'applied Promos' it just shows the Stad Package - must be a glitch.
same here, by the time it gets figured out the ship will be sold out

I liked Corrine. She led fun line dancing classes. Also, you must take Zumba with assistant director, June. He's great.

We had someone pick us up recently, after the sold out Thanksgiving cruise. We didn't call him until we were walking off the ship at 9:30. We figured it was easier for us to wait, even for 40 minutes, than have him come too soon. There was a steady stream of cars coming in. No issues.

I checked the recent Princess patter daily schedules but I couldn't find any classes unless Zumba or dance classes.
I thought Princess has a different fitness schedules besides the daily planner.
Thank you so much for the advices, OK I will stretch and exercises by myself if I can.😝
Go to the fitness center on the first day for a schedule. There is usually an early morning free class (stretch or abs), sometimes repeated in the afternoon, as well as other classes for a fee. Princess, not spa employees, will offer free zumba and line dancing. Tai Chi is listed on my "journey" (I'm not on the ship, but soon), but I'm not sure if it's complimentary.

I will be in a deluxe obstructed view balcony cabin on the Royal. How many outlets are there and where are they located? Thank you.
-
I am on a cruise in 6 days that is oversold; people getting move over offers. Just received notice my bid was accepted. Going from inside to deluxe obstructed balcony for the minimum bid ($40pp). I checked the deck plans and it is in a nice mid ship location and the view is not that obstructed. Can't believe they are still playing musical cabins so close to the cruise date.

Next week, Thanksgiving cruise, probably sold out. The Royal is actually oversold for next week.

That's insane. Wondering if they were looking for someone or something specific. 🤔

Where in the app will these activities show up?
Journey section....

We are sailing in 3 weeks and noticed some activities are showing up on the app. A champagne waterfall on our 2nd night of a 4 night cruise! Wasn't expecting that as we don't have a formal night. Adjusted my dinner time earlier so I don't miss it.

Princess (AON) insurance experience
in Princess Cruises
Posted
I had a positive experience with princess insurance (standard) so wanted to share. I had to cancel a cruise for medical reasons 18 days prior to sailing. Within 1 day, Princess refunded 25% of the cruise fare and port fees/taxes. I filed a claim for the remainder with AON on 4/18. It was approved on 4/20 and I received a check for the remainder on 5/1.
