How did you get a copy?  We were on Allure 2 weeks ago and it is the old one.

Receiving a cert early is the norm I think. I think sometimes the host is extremely busy and tries to get done early. I always go back the last night before i leave the casino. It is always a better certificate than the previous one.

That’s good, but I have never had to wait very long going on a royal cruise anyway! It’s always been fairly quick.

I printed our set sail pass in July and it was a normal looking pass. I noticed when getting ready to print the luggage tags in August that they looked different so I printed new ones. They say Expedited Arrival. What is this?

We have Medicare/united health care. I bought a travel insurance policy in 2016 for travel from October 29, 2016 to November 4, 2016 from Seven Corners through InsureMyTrip or squaremouth one. I don’t remember which. My husband had several claims in 2018 in February. Got a letter from Mercy Health in March that Medicare has denied the claims that we had another primary insurance??? I didn’t recognize the name because this was the only time we ever bought from Seven Corners. YES this was two years later that problems began.

Had to make numerous calls to Seven Corners and my insurance company. This caused so many problems. Lots of denied claims. Finally got everyone to understand and SC wrote a letter stating that it was travel insurance and things got on track to being paid. What a mess. How did SC get my other insurance information to be able to mess this up??? I will never buy from them again.

I haven’t had any other problems with trip insurance and have bought many policies since cruising.

I have always received both snail mail and email from casino for special cruises. I haven’t received an email for quite awhile. I did receive the holiday cruise on the navigator for December by snail mail, but never received an email for it. Could there be something wrong all of a sudden with my email? If so, how can I fix it?

We have always received our points from free cruises.

We had this happen two weeks ago from Fort Lauderdale port. We were off the ship with zone 1-8. Went to zone 8 and only 1 of our suitcases was there. I looked for awhile and went up to the desk where the luggage is taken without tags, etc. They were very helpful and had other workers looking for it too. I walked around that entire area numerous times and couldn't find it. I was standing at the missing luggage desk an hour later with another lady and she said there's my luggage! (it was on top of another cart full of suitcases) About that time a worker came around wheeling my missing luggage. I was very relieved.

I have to say that I wasn't a happy camper for that hour since we have such a long drive home, but it was all ok. I am going to try to figure out a way for me to be able to carry the suitcases off myself. Husband has a rollator walker and can't roll a suitcase also, but we can use the seat to carry our totes.

I saw a rep from the ship and told him and he had no interest in helping us find the suitcase .Then my wife and I began search number 3 with no luck. I found another ship rep and she was very helpful .She walked the entire luggage area and 45 minutes later found the missing suitcase.

We arranged for a family member to pick us up at the port and he had to drive around because he was not allowed to wait at the port .

When I was on the Anthem, the code wasn't in my cabin when I checked in. I went down to the casino host and he gave it to me.

Does anyone know what happens if you win a jackpot and don't have your own card in the machine? Do you sit together and just use one card? I can see how this would be okay. Husband and I don't like to play the same machines so we don't sit even near each other. I did ask the casino host if I could use the free play on my husband's card on the last night of a cruise. He was already in bed when he remembered. She said it was okay. Don't know if this is normally okay or not.

Does anyone know how to get your free internet device connection? Don't know where to go when we get on the ship. Will there be instructions in our room for all of the perks we receive with the new program?

Haven't been following this new program development closely, so I apologize in advance if my questions have been addressed before. I didn't get any email from CR about my level, but I just got off Ovation and they told me I am Prime...so I am eligible for a free inside cabin, is that correct? If so, I should just contact CR to book it?

I can tell you they did not for me. I called today and asked about my email since my husband got his and mine didn’t get here. I received a free cruise. I had one at end of March next year scheduled. I had to pay about 500 for it to upgrade and he was ready to give me money back until he noticed it was a 9 day. He was really nice and checked some other things for me, but the certificates I had were the best at this point.

I guess we will not get to use the free cruise this time because I have already booked 4 (2 being royal) up to the March deadline. The other one was already just port fees and taxes. I just thought I should have asked about an upgrade to the October cruise. Don’t know if they would do that since it would be an upgrade to a suite.

That’s very interesting. First confirmation I’ve had that the free cruises could be combined. I wonder if they will “waive” the 8 day max if they’re willing to “waive” the holiday exclusion.

We had the same meeting time and did self assist. Got there in plenty of time. Had to wait quite some time. They were a little late getting there.

Thanks. Forgot about the time difference. Five hours would have put it about 4:15 in the afternoon. If my body clock stays on my time here I would be getting up at 3 in the morning. :o Hope the five days to get there gets us ready for the time change.

If you are using Google Maps or a similar program it depends on the time of day locally when you check and which direction.

 

Right now to Pier 2 from Wet 'n Wild shows 31 minutes drive time, which is about what I'd expect at 9PM local time after the luau.

I checked out how far the Chief's Luau is from Port 2 and it says it is 24 miles away but it takes 1 hour and 7 minutes . It says heavy traffic. If the luau gets over at 8:30 and say we get bus loaded at 9:00, we should be back a little after 10. If there happens to be an accident or other bottleneck, we may be late for set sail at 11:00. I'm sure 10:30 will be boarding time. Scares me a little, but I really would like to go to this luau.

Has anyone taken the transportation through Chief's and how did it work for you? What time did you get back from the luau to the ship?

Maybe I should have tried another rep. I tried to book one 14 Days past my one year last week and it was a no.

I have in the past. So this is probably a case of Royal not being consistent with its own policies. I will throw another one out there....the cert says valid for only one year to book.....when speaking to an agent in the past...he told me nah, it does not matter, it can go over a year..........very frustrating.

They do seem to send the certificates out the next to last day. I just see the host at the end of the last night to get an updated cert. They seem to have my exact points recorded. I haven’t found them to be different than what I thought they were.

That is true. I had way more points on Carnival for the 7 day than the 5 day on Navigator and I got a OV for Royal and nothing for Carnival. It is really an eye opener to read the Carnival casino fb page at all the unhappy people. I will still sail Carnival if I receive premiere invites (Caribbean) with cash that equals to an almost free cruise.

We are actually scheduled for the RT to Hawaii on Carnival in January. Really no special deal we just want to go to Hawaii without flying there.

I should add that in my previous post I should no t have said same points. But even with more points I didn’t even rate an inside.

It is my understanding that a Carnival point is $2 in the slot machine. A Royal point is $5 in the slot machine. 2 1/2 times a Carnival point.

We sail carnival and royal both. With the way it has been we know exactly what we will get from royal due to knowing if we get so many points we have an inside, ov, or balcony. With carnival we can get those same points and get absolutely nothing.

Sailed on both in january and the royal was a 5 day and got ov and carnival was 7 day with more points and the offer was crap. We still get other offers from royal like the egg hunt next week in balcony and october allure in balcony. Get cash and premiere offers from carnival so it does kind of even out if offered cash too. Royal has been better for us.

Thank you. That is actually the first thing i did. Majority of reviews were excellent and very good. Not sure if this is in an area that would have food close or if in a safe area.

Has anyone stayed at Pacific Inn before cruising from Long Beach? It says it is 7 miles from the cruise port. Looking for a hotel to sleep the night before the cruise and all of the ones close are $300 +.
