  1. I think the Queen was a bit hungry🤭 Since she arrived 1,5h before me😂😂
  2. I have just arrived back onboard. today’s canapés had arrived….. I think it’s a 🐁 mice in my cabin😂😂😂 The Queen had arrived and is safely seated in a sun lounger by the pool😎
  3. The Queen was finished for today’s walking tour. So I dropped her off on the shuttle back to the ship. And I continued to the fortress. It’s upstairs outside the city centre. Number 4. You need to walk upstairs to the entrance and it’s more steps inside. You get a lovely view over the walled city and they have some of the original canons. The ticket is the same as the walled walkway. So keep your ticket 🎫 Dubrovnik is a beautiful city. Just be prepared for lots of stairs, uneven walking and slippery stones on the wall walking.
  4. The bus take you in to Old Town/Pile gate. The Tourist Office Is located at the drop-off point. We walked into the old town from Pile Gate. We walked thru the city centre to gate 51/13 on the map. It’s a gate out to the old port/pier. We jumped on a 45.min sightseeing glass bottom boat. It takes you around the old town from the ocean and to Lokrum island for fish viewing and the caves in the mountain. Great way to see the city walls and crystal clear ocean. After our boat adventure, I was itching to get up on the city walls😅💪🏻 I parked the Queen for coffee and off i walked🙌🏻 You need a ticket for the wall. Okey🤓 Hold on your hat and wallet😱😳💸💸💸 3,5€😅 NO 🫣 35€ pr person to walk the walls🫡🫨😬 So I paid, said to myself, this is your souvenir🤭 You have a beautiful view over the city on the walled walkway. It’s stairs up and down. Downhill and uneven ground. So I walked fast up and down, visited towers and took pictures. A full round took me 1h. So a decent 💪🏻workout 🏋️‍♀️ I would say for average Joe, minimum 2h. It’s stairs up and down, and steeper hillside in one part. IMG_7908.mov The temperature is high and on hot Sunny day’s, you need minimum a 🧢 cap and water bottle. After the walk, I went on a search for the Queen🤓 She had walked onward to see more of the city. So I found her on the market space😌 We did some shopping of souvenirs to give away to my niese on 4year and Mr🥰 After some shopping, we decided to sit down to have a coffee and ice cream😋
  5. Today’s plan is Dubrovnik on our own. We have booked shuttle ticket to old town. It’s 15$ pr person via the ship. Usually Mr & me would have walked in. It’s only 3,3km flat walking. A great opportunity to have a view of town and the area🤩 So on arrival Dubrovnik you have taxis waiting on the pier. It’s fixed price from port to the old town. 18€ pr way/car. So if you are more than 2. A taxi is cheaper to use.
  6. Tonight we did follow our sail out from Kotor on sunset bar, deck 10. So we didn’t attend the production show we saw last week. For dinner we had chop chop salad, escargot. Main course, the gnocchi and salmon. Dessert was apple pie and ice cream. The Queen tried the cannoli dessert, but the biscuit layer was very overcooked. So it went out the back door😝 After dinner it’s was bedtime 🥱
  7. So, just run down to dinner. a teaser of sailing out of Kotor tonight. I really hoped we were leaving on time/early. But my luck for time were not perfect. IMG_7780.mov
  8. @catgirl411 @hcat Thank you🥰 it’s a cat lovers dream town🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈 I had to call my furry baby’s❤️ So I could see them and check the patient🤕 Mr is home I’ll😔 His fot turned purple and double in size during the night to Monday🥺 He went straight to the doctor on Monday, he called me early in the morning asking for the real deal pain killers🤪 He was desperately seeking for it🤪🤪🤪 so he would be able to walk anywhere…… it’s a really “lovely” plantar facitt infection. So it’s better, he received medicine, good pain killers and doctors orders to keep home and relax. So he is home petting cats and relaxing❤️
  9. We have no big plans for Kotor. I have visited before, it’s lovely here🥰 Strongly recommend going to the Blue cave boat tour and the church on the island, Our Lady of the Rocks. The Queen is not 100% fit for fight today. A little back pain has reduced the activity level. So an express boat trip was not on the wish list today. ( it happens from time to time, it’s due to her known back problem. So we just have to adjust for this🙃) So it’s easy city sightseeing in Kotor Town and some local food. We ordered a Montenegro plate. It was a simple starter🤣🤣🤣 At 16.00 the Queen was finished for today’s tour. So we went back to the pier for tender service back to the ship. Oh my😅 There’s lots of new crew signing on today in Kotor. So that means tender for luggage and crew😳🥺 That’s a lot of suitcases and crew that needs to be taken care of. So we shared a tender by a pile of suitcases and new crew😎 Really not the best place to have crew change😝 lots of extra work for tenders.
  10. Okey, we are not alone in town⚓️ We have company of TUI/Mariella Explorer 2. We went down to the priority tender location around 11.05 They had just called the first tender ticket. We were seated and waited around 20.mins before it was our tour. They were bringing 4-8pax pr tender from the priority group. We were on tender for ticket 6 call. All went smooth and we had a local tender.
  11. Elite, Elite Plus & Zenith has priority tender. We used this service last week in VilleFranche and today. We went down to designated area for waiting for this service. We were on the tender after 15.min. The concierge will take you down to the tender from the waiting area. They normally send a letter to your stateroom how to proceed. Just follow the instruction😉
  12. The menu has been excellent as of now. All fish has arrived perfectly cooked and fresh. The few meat dishes we have eaten has arrived perfectly cooked and flavour has really been good. I must say the kitchen has delivered stable good quality since we arrived onboard👏🏻👏🏻❤️ we have the classic package. So it’s the usual wine available in glasses. Im personally very happy for the French rose. It’s a dry light rose. And I enjoy dry white wine. I can’t have red wine😣 my arthritis goes bonanza😵‍💫🫨😮‍💨🤕 So I keep away. It’s not worth it🫤
  13. They have the fruit plate👌🏻 It’s melon, pineapple etc. I’m allergic to pineapple, so it’s never a problem to ask for just melon or berries. I just ask nicely, and normally I get blueberry or a mix of berries🍓🫐
  14. Today we were invited to a helipad sail in 09.00. Thank you! The Bay of Kotor has a beautiful sail in. We were not allowed on the helipad all the way in, so we are not ready for tenders before around 11.00. Unfortunately we had to leave just before the most narrow point. Fingers crossed for a beautiful evening sailing out😇🙏🏻
  15. Today’s breakfast is in MDR💜 Greek yoghurt and berries. Hold on, shared a plate of French toast😅
  16. Tonight it was Pride Party on pool deck🩷🩵💙💜💛💚❤️ The Greek officers had a zorba🇬🇷💙🇬🇷 IMG_7650.mov The dance cast had a show off and the flair bartender from Martini showed off💜 The house band played Pride friendly Hits and it was a great evening on deck💜🩷
  17. The house band played in the foyer before dinner 👏🏻❤️ They did a Beatles set🤩 Tonight’s dinner was good🙃 We had asparagus salad, fish and lamb. Dessert was ice cream. They gave the Queen green beans as she asked for❤️ they tasted SO good👏🏻 Nova and Faizal is good❤️👌🏻 We are not suffering or starving in ANY ways😂
  18. Tonight’s show is NYC3. (Same group as yesterday’s pop-up) I will go in by clear eyes and zen in order👌🏻🙃 So show was better then the pop-up show😅Good Not bad, but not best💙
  19. Today’s tour So, Zakynthos is a beautiful 🤩 island. Crystal clear water, beautiful view points, turtles 🐢 and beaches. I really want to come back! What’s not to like about this?😎 BUT….. I will not do a bus tour. (It’s my hate object nr 1🤣🤣🤣) What don’t I do for the Queen? 😅🤔🤭🥰🫡 There’s plenty to see and discover, but very limited time in port. So it’s impossible to see everything. I was very sad that we didn’t drive by shipwreck beach, so we would overlook it and have a fabulous picture from above 😣 This tour is perfect if you are: -older -not a good walker -love sightseeing on bus -want to try meze -want to see as much as possible in a short time -want some smashing photos on 3 stops -want no big activity, just meet and relax If you want to see or crossed something on the list: -shipwreck beach -turtles -swim in crystal clear water -travel by kids/family -hate bigger crowds -don’t like bus sightseeing -boat tour This is not your tour! The Queen was super happy👌🏻🤩❤️ Very satisfied!
  20. After some coffee, I needed to run upstairs and utilities my 5g stable coverage on my phone. So I could do some work by vpn connection on my computer🤓 Home office on X is not bad😂😂⚓️💙 Today canapés (talk about home office service😂)
  21. We arrived back in the ship 14.50 It was straight up to Maria’s big smile in Al Bacio😁 The Queen had not had coffee since breakfast😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫🤭
  22. We went down for breakfast in Tuscan, the captain’s club coffee club. It was quiet and relaxing. It’s plated service. We had some cheese, fruit, coffee and juice. Today’s excursion is 100% for the Queen. (It’s not my cup of tea🫡) We left for our meeting time in the theatre 09.00. They were a bit delayed due to the tender operation. Today’s tender was by the ships tenders. Fingers crossed, all goes as planned and worries free. They called our group and we were loaded onto the tender. All was okay and ride went smooth. It’s very shallow water by the pier. So the alarm on the sonar started screaming, notifying shallow water. The Queen started having a small panic attack in her eyes. The alarm 🚨 sounds almost like the engine alarm we had on the Jewel tender….😱😰 I told her to breathe and don’t worry, it’s the sonar alarm for shallow water. It’s nothing to worry about, they will be able to dock. They got us into the pier and unloaded the tender. a side note to fellow travellers: Don’t get up before they are ready docked. Half our tender were up and walking against the door before we were ready, we were not even tied up. The poor deck Kadett said loudly out: please remain seated, we are not tied to the pier and ready. So the Queen survived the tender❤️ Our guide and bus was waiting on the pier. Today’s guide, is a guide on a mission😅🤣😜🌪️🌪️🌪️ We rushed of from the pier and the lady was speaking on in and out breathing 😮‍💨 We drove to Agia Mavra. We visited the church. It’s in process of rebuilding. The church went up in smoke in 2005. The bell tower is 37m and standing next to the church, so it was not destroyed during the fire. So they are restoring the church and decorations. It was a 20.min stop. All churches and bell towers are in separate buildings. This due to the fact that Zakynthos is an earthquake island. So to protect the church it’s separated. After our stop, we left for the mountains. It’s a beautiful view, you are at the top of Zakynthos. They take you to Kampion. They serve a meze lunch🇬🇷💙 and it’s a folkloric dance session. IMG_7592.mov Then it was time to jump into the bus again, off to Bochali for pictures 15.min stop and finally back to town. We were dropped off on the pier 14.20. We were the first of the buses to return, our guide was strict on leaving first from the look out point. Since the line to the tenders get long if we are last of the buses returning. Last tender is 15.00 The guide has spoken a lot about history, sites on the island and animal life. It’s lots of turtles 🐢 on the island. She was very knowledgeable. Really good, but in massive amounts🤭 We were on the tender 14.27 and the line was growing rapidly behind us. Our tender captain informed us when we left the pier, that it will be a little bumpy when we sail past the harbour and enter the ocean. And when we are docking on the ship, it’s a bit of movement going on. So please be seated until we say it’s okay to move. The Queen was mentally prepared and things went well. No alarms or other elements she could worry about👌🏻💙⚓️ Good work! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
