  1. So I got a refund for 188. celebrity couldn't explain it to me, told me to call my TA. They didn't know what it was. After seeing these posts, I called celebrity and asked if it showed that I had prepaid my gratuities. they said no. I called my TA They called celebrity and they said I "Cancelled" them Well of course I didn't. But low and behold, they have gone up by fifty cents a day, so now I need to pay more. Hmmmmm?[/quote

Were the prepaid grats part of your original booking with the TA. If so then Celebrity shouldn't let you cancel them without doing it via the TA. This to me is a bug in their website and they should reinstate the grats for your original $188. Your TA should be fighting this for you.

No I just paid them through my TA

  3. No question - Pan Pacific.

The hotel is part of the cruise terminal Canada Place. You can see the ship from your room and breakfast room.

You can check in your luggage in your room. The bellmen of the hotel will take it from your room to the ship.

The have an extra elevator taking you from the hotel to the check in level...

    it can´t be more comfortable!

Yep I would agree, Pan Pacific. It's more expensive but really worth it!!

  4. New to Celebrity as this is only our second cruise with them. Prepaid for shore excursions but decided to do private tours. If I cancel my excursion do I get my money back. Not cruising until Sept if that is a factor.

    Thanks.

Yes I called and cancelled one that I had pre paid and they did it immediately and refunded my money

  5. Hello from New Jersey! Tomorrow morning we will embark on a much-needed family vacation on the Celebrity Summit! Currently, I'm writing from the warm confines of my bed at home in Branchburg, New Jersey as my wife struggles to remember if she packed all of the shoes she will need for the next 10 days (spoiler: she's never packed enough shoes). We will be joined by our nearly 3 year old daughter.

I plan on providing daily updates on our cruise along with pictures and videos of the ship, the dailies, the kid's programs, menus and food (oh, there will be so much food). We have the the internet package and are ready to use it!

We are getting picked up promptly at 8:30 a.m. by our chauffeur (my father-in-law) to brave the Tuesday morning traffic into Hudson County to get to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port by 10 a.m. or so (we like being the first one on the ship after the VIPs - I'm paying for it, get me on it!)

We will be staying in a luxurious Category 11 Inside Cabin (2055). We usually go balcony but were very concerned about having a balcony with a toddler so opted for the inside at a great price!

The itinerary is as follows (along with our planned activities):

Tuesday, June 27th: Bayonne, New Jersey

    Wednesday, June 28th: AT SEA

Thursday, June 29th: Bar Harbor, Maine (Ollie's Trollies)

Friday, June 30th: Saint John, New Brunswick (Freedom Tours' "Fundy to Fundy" Tour)

Saturday, July 1st: Halifax, Nova Scotia (CANADA DAY)(We plan to go to the parade and walk around on our own, at night we hope to see the fireworks)

Sunday, July 2nd: Halifax, Nova Scotia (Peggy's Cove & Titanic)

Monday, July 3rd: Portland, Maine (Lobster rolls....just, lots of lobster rolls)

Tuesday, July 4th: Boston, Massachusetts (Meeting up with friends who live in Boston for the day, maybe the Children's Museum)

Wednesday, July 5th: Boston, Massachusetts (Staying on board)

Thursday, July 6th: Newport, Rhode Island (The Breakers & the Elms Mansions)

Friday, July 7th: Bayonne, New Jersey (Time to go home, already?)

If you have any questions, let me know and I will be happy to answer. Can't wait to get on board!

    Looking forward to your reports!

  6. If you're in Aqua or Concierge class you can trade your included bottle of bubbly for a bottle of Proseco. That has nothing to do with the topic, sorry.

Really? I prefer Proseco but never thought to ask for a trade

  7. Hey everyone!

My fiance and I are about to go on the Celebrity Infinity to Alaska and have the classic drink package included. In the spirit of trying new things, I didn't want to end up ordering the same 5-6 drinks that I was already familiar with, so I made this document to take with me on the cruise. It includes all the included liquors/liqueurs on the classic package and includes about ~85 common drinks categorized by the primary alcohol used. It fits onto 4 sheets -- I personally plan to print 2 sheets to a page & double sided, so it will all fit on one paper that I can carry around with me. :) I made this document for myself and my fiance, but thought it could be helpful for anyone who wanted to branch out and take advantage of the large assortment of booze options. :p

I'm currently making one for the premium package as well. I hope you all get some use out of this! Take care!

Edit: Please tell me if there are any really obvious/delicious ones I left off!

a Cuba Libre must have a piece of lime to be a Cuba Libre, otherwise it's just a rum and coke:) The name comes from when Teddy Roosevelt took the rough riders to Cuba and the americans brought coke, the cuban ladies would poor some out and add rum and a slice of lime to the bottle. It's my go to drink:)

  8. These are all hysterical. Unfortunately our funniest experience was our own fault. We were cruising the Celebrity Infinity Alaska. My daughter was 10 (she is now 24 so it was some time ago) In my cabin there was the two of us, my godson who was 26 and his brother who was 22. The younger brother was supposed to be the Au Pair for my daughter as well as our friends who had a 13, 10 year old and 6 year old.

It was the first night and the Au Pair's job was to make sure all the kids got back from their kid's club. The 13 wasn't done until midnight. He staggered into our room about midnight roaring drunk (he had been trying the different martini's as he waited for her to finish) He said he couldn't find her. As he is talking, he slides down the down until he is sitting and begins vomiting. My daughter and I are in the bed. I told his brother he had to deal with it.

He got up and tried to get him in the shower and sobered up. Godson tried to clean up vomit with toilet paper. It clogs the toilet. Tried to give brother glass of water in shower, glass is dropped and shatters in shower. Daughter and I are now laughing hysterically. I give Godson $20 and tells him to call room steward.

Steward comes. Daughter and I are under covers giggling madly trying to pretend we are asleep. Godson suavely tells steward, "We have had a bit of a comedy of errors tonight, my brother is very seasick". I don't think steward bought it, but he fixed toilet, cleaned up glass and cleaned carpet.

When he leaves I call friends and daughter had come home early. Friends said, "Why are you laughing? Are you guys having a party?" I said not exactly.

The next day, it turned out Au Pair may have proposed to several pretty bartenders, they all knew him. He chose not to drink the rest of the cruise:)
