We are booked Anthem Jan. 31, but will probably cancel because of Covid.  It just doesn't feel safe to go. Anyone else ,canceling?

Scared of contracting a disease with minimal symptoms that I have been vaccinated and boosted for?  No.

Scared of a forced quarantine and/or altered travel plans?  Yes.

Scared of missing ports and canceled shows?  Yes.

It depends on your risk tolerance.

In my opinion a minimum is $100,000 medical and $500,000 evacuation (the policies usually have different amounts for medical and evacuation).  Also, very carefully read the fine print of the actual policy.  Some of the policies state that the end date is shortly after the scheduled end date of travel so even if you are still in a hospital the insurance ends even if you are below the full coverage amount.

    Perfect. My thoughts as well.

  3. Purchasing cruise insurance for upcoming 01/15/2022 Odyssey cruise, and spooked with recent Covid cases aboard and missed ports. I know to purchase with primary medical and Covid coverage. What are opinions regarding maximum medical coverage and medical evacuation coverage?

I’m considering $500,000 med evacuation and medical expenses.

There’s a lot of people out there that can’t go on the cruise and just enjoy the trip without drinking sounds to me like he could just stay home and drink and have your vacation at home there’s plenty of us to go on a cruise just to enjoy ourselves and we don’t need any alcohol to have a great time that’s a big extra expense $60 a day times seven day $420 for one x 2= $840?? That could be another cruise for some of us

    Judge much?

I recently "renewed" my Passport through the Post Office. I did not pay EXTRA to expedite it.  We plan to cruise the 2nd week in January.  If you have "renewed" your passport through the Post Office within "this" year, can you give me an idea "how long" it took to get your passport back?

I renewed through post office and DID pay for expedited on September 3, and still am waiting. Grr!!

Has anyone sent Blue Chip an email lately? It used to take ~24 hours for a response, but I'm at 48 already and wondering if I should bite the bullet and call.

We just received an email offer yesterday, and I responded immediately for a free veranda aboard edge. I still haven’t heard anything. Not much advance notice either, as the cruise takes place next month. I wonder if they will continue to offer it if I can’t go.

Just got off Edge 9/11 and there were ~ or less than 1,000. Heard that 9/11 cruise was ~700.

Port, Ship looked deserted when we got to port at 10:30am and when we got off ship at 8am. Our Boarding time was 12, but they let us into Terminal 25 at 11:30am. Very quick and no lines. Got on ship around 12:30. Ensure that you have Passport, C19 Vaccination Record and Pre-Test in hand. No need to register Credit Card if you did so on-line. Paper print out or Phone Ship Boarding, too. Get Sea Pass when you go to your room.

Never seen it like that before. All venues were wide open without any problems of getting reservations, seats, etc.

Excellent information. Thank you. I’ve never had a free cruise, and if numbers aboard are decreased, it’s an even bigger bonus!
