  1. I booked all of my specialty restaurants 3 months ago for our upcoming Harmony cruise in November 2016. I am travelling in a boardwalk balcony. One of my options was Coastal Kitchen, and I booked it for the 2nd formal night. I realize that this venue is typically for suites only, but assumed that it was made available to a few select non-suite passengers because I booked it so early. Any thoughts? Will they turn me away at the door, even though I have written confirmation. Not a deal breaker by any stretch...just curious.

  2. Wouldn't want to disturb the bourgeoisie with having to eat with standard room rabble. Looks like your friends are going to have to eat on the Windjammer with the rest of the proletariat while you dine in style. Sorry.

I'm not sure if this was said in jest or seriousness. While cruising in a suite is not in my budget currently, I don't begrudge anybody else who pays the extra money to do so. I think it's perfectly appropriate to offer extra amenities and perks to those that pay extra, sometimes quite a bit extra. Everybody receives an excellent product as a baseline, and those that pay more get a better product. I'm ok with that.

  3. Okay I called back to the dedicated Quantum dining line and WAS able to book the complimentary venues as well, AND got my 7:00 time! And the icing on the cake was being able to book Coastal Kitchen even though we are in a plain balcony room. Moral of the story: be persistent. Now if I can only figure out how to book Chefs Table...

  4. I just called Royal Caribbean and was able to book the pay specialty restaurants for the April 12 cruise. I was able to get Wonderland the first night at 7:15, chops the second night at 7 o'clock, and Jamie's Italian on the last night. They did not have any availability for any of the complimentary restaurants. I was also unable to book chefs table at this time. I am a humble Diamond member.

  5. I have read lots of good reviews of SAS and was really hoping my experience was just as good. Unfortunately it was not

We made reservations 6 months ago and confirmed them today. However, when we got our luggage from FLL and called them, I was told that it would be another 90-120 minutes because he was the last shuttle and other flights were delayed. I realize that this is a shared ride service, but a 2 hour delay is unacceptable.

We ended up catching a ride with GO Airport Shuttle for a few more bucks, and are now crammed together on our way to Miami Hotel.

  6. We are on the Reflection and will be in San Juan from 3-11pm. One of our group wants to go helmet diving and there is a company that does this. Has anyone done the helmet diving in San Juan? Thank you!

  7. I copied this link from another thread a while ago. Thank you to the Preismans, the OP.

It isn't exactly what you are looking for but may help a little. I do not know how much the menu has changed since this sailing.

    Cheers, h.

They just got back from a Reflection cruise a few days ago, and will likely have a review soon, along with menus!

  8. :( Just got off the phone with Celebrity excursions. She said ST03 is not being offered on my cruise in January. Neither is STG4. She had no explanation but said ST03 will not be added as all excursions are booked 6 months out and if it's not there now, it won't be an option for us. I told her ST03 was a new one, but she said not every excursion is offered for every cruise - that maybe the tour operator just wasn't working that week or something.

Guess we'll be doing St. John really on our own and I'll think of some other way to use our OBC.

Oh, and for those that might not have heard, I see that St. John beaches are open.

    Carol,

We are on the Reflection the week after your cruise, and our original STG St John shopping tour was also cancelled. I ended up booking STL2-Destination St John Coastal Cruise for the same price. It lists RT transportation, short coastal cruise, and 3-3 1/2 hours of private time. You may want to consider this option.
