We will be getting off a cruise in Civitevechia on September 1, 2024 and have to be at a wedding in Umbria (actually Todi, outside of Perugia) on Sept 6. We have been to Rome so are looking for something different. We have a number of choices. Milan, with a day trip to the lakes; Florence; the lakes. Any thoughts where you would go for 5 days is appreciated. We will not have a car.

We are hoping to be near the Duomo and LaScala. If possible to keep it around $300 or so per night if that's doable or realistic in that central location.We've never been to Milan and are hoping to stay for four nights. So appreciate your time.

We will be cruising on Azamara to the French riviera and when it ends in Rome we want to get to Milan for a few days. Any recommendations there for hotels and anything else in Milan. Thank you all.
