I'm in a studio for the up coming Breakaway. NCL mailed me my luggage tags. Definitely a surprise for me. Always had to print them in the past. Can't wait to find out though.

My July 2022 cruise on the Star says the same thing on the app but using the website it looks fine. I'm going to believe it is some kind of system update growing pains for now.
-
I do hope the Default Itinerary is just a glitch. Just noticed my July 2022 cruise is featuring that. That's my birthday cruise!!! It cannot be canceled!
-
Not sure. I'm on the Oct 17th sailing, and we've only had 1 excursion available the whole time. Feeling kinda jealous you had over 40 at one point. Hope your change means they are still sorting those details out...

Did the Escape out NYC a couple years ago and missed the early reservations for online booking. While I was in the terminal waiting to board, I was able to use the app to reserve all my specialty dining. May be worth a shot while waiting.

I like to study the dailies from other people who have done the same itinerary. Not sure why as most 7 day cruises are set up very similarly. Also before the cruise I like to Google Map the ports. Use street view to look around the port and explore any downloaded 360 camera views that may pop up in the area. The cameras are the blue dots as you dangle the Googleguy in the air over the map for anyone who didn't know. I have an Iceland/Greenland cruise in 2022, so I've been enjoying looking around over there.

My August Alaska has been saying this since they canceled May's ships. Not officially canceled quite yet as they search of alternatives for the one Canadian stop. Time will tell, but it's not looking good. This was my replacement for my February cruise that was canceled.
-
My August Alaska cruise is now showing the "Default Itinerary Name" now. To be expected. Still disappointing though. I haven't left the state of Maine for over a year now. I've had great fun exploring Maine over the last year, but I could really use something tropical.

My Alaska Encore cruise this August and my July 2022 on the Star says it as well. Hope it's a glitch. I'm going to be completely bummed if my July one gets canceled.

One technique for traveling with a child is this: Book a cabin with the couch by the balcony or window.
Buy a set of strong magnets with hooks, a box of small binder clips, and a lightweight queen sheet. Hang it up to make a room divider. Affords a little more privacy and low light can be on for one side without terrible impact to the other.
I've seen some do this same thing but use a shower curtain or two. They generally have holes in them to accommodate the magnetic hooks.

I'm doing Iceland/Greenland July 2022 as well only on the 11 day. Wicked excited! Do hope I get to go on at least one cruise before that though. Right now Alaska in August on the books, but I'm feeling 50/50 on if it will sail or not.

I wish we could get some videos of the staff on the ship and what life is like for them.
There is a Captain from the Celebrity Edge on TikTok who does videos on the ship. Honestly it's been kind of fun watching her videos about the ship, her job, her cat, and learning about life on the ship right now. If you TikTok look for captiankatemccue. She just went on vacation, so who knows what her new videos will be.

That was great!! Thank you for sharing. I suddenly want to book a cruise leaving NY at night.

Interesting. The Cirque show as entertainment has also been removed from my February Epic cruise. It was there not too long ago. That's a bummer. Understandable, but still a bummer. Hope they figure out an alternative way of doing it.

Seems all the October cruises have all be "sold out" if you go through the booking. I'm guessing an announcement coming soon.

I'm not sure they're even allowed to go ashore other than as part of a CDC-approved plan for repatriation. The CDC's guidance doesn't directly address this, but given that the only crew disembarkations they address are for repatriation I'm thinking it's the only allowable reason for disembarkation.
I honestly don't know, but the news report said they had to quarantine on the ship for 14 days before they are allowed off. Wouldn't be the first time news has been wrong though. Then again, it's Eastport Maine pop. under 1300. There's no public transportation, no airport, not even sure there are taxis and chances are no Uber. There's no place for them to go. Unless they try to swim across the bay to Canada. If you wanted to let some crew off a ship where they can't escape, I can't think of a better place to do it.

Riviera has come to Eastport Maine and seems to be drawing a crowd. After hanging out for 2 weeks, sounds like the crew will be allowed to come ashore. I'm going to guess they are all looking forward to that.

Being honest, we have not witness much adherence to the 14-day self quarantine requirement.
Examples: most traffic into the state make their 1st stop at New Hampshire's massive on-highway state liquor stores; the 2nd stop is at a supermarket/grocery store and 3rd seating at the outdoor dining restaurants.
Neither have we.
I work for a retail building supply company. A few weeks ago a couple from Mass. came into the store to pick up lumber, sheetrock, and misc stuff. Told us they were going to quarantine after getting supplies for their camp remodel project. This way they had something to do during those 14 days. Also, I've had a few friends who have come up for day trips to the beach from southern New England. It's really not an enforceable rule.

Well, since your governor is making anyone from out of Maine quarantine for 14 days, its the only way the Maine resorts can hope to stay open. I know I'm not planning a trip to Maine right now due to this (though I would in a heartbeat otherwise).
I believe New Hampshire also has the same quarantine requirement? NH would be my second choice for a few days away.
Actually she has recently revised that order. If you have documentation of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hrs of coming into Maine, there is no need to quarantine for 14 days. Unless you live in NH or VT, then you're welcome to come without a quarantine or test. Not sure how any of that is getting enforced but that is the new rule. Think I heard NH and VT were following the same or similar guideline.

I hear you. My work was deemed essential, and we have been surprisingly busy through it all. Not nearly like how you've been I'm sure, so I can only imagine how ready you are for a vacation. I do hope your November cruise doesn't get canceled.
IDK about Florida, but some Maine resorts are doing special pricing for Mainers. Maybe there is a place somewhat nearby doing the same thing. I'd imagine just getting away for a weekend or better yet if you can take a Friday or Monday off to make it a long weekend would be so beneficial to your well being.

I was on the Escape for a Halloween cruise last year and Santa and his wife just happened to be on the same cruise. One night in The District Santa got up and sang a song about his rubber girlfriend. It was hilarious!!! Though disturbing to see that side of Santa... Santa was a naughty man after Mrs. Claus went back to their room. 🤣 It was also fun to see Mr. & Mrs. Claus dressed up as themselves for Halloween. They looked amazing and the kids seemed to enjoy seeing them.

What NCL did was disgusting and wrong, don't let the "NCL can do no wrong" crowd make you feel bad. They would side with NCL even if NCL made children and elderly people walk the plank. Most of them are stock holders and carry water for NCL no matter what. It is best to ignore them. There are cruise lines out there that know how to treat their customers decently, it is probably better to spend your hard earned money with them next time. Good luck to you in the future.
Of course. Leaves more chairs empty around the pool, less waiting for elevators, and the ship is a lot quieter after the children and elderly become shark bait. Win, win for us middle aged NCL fans.

That will be cancelled soon enough
Oh I'm sure there are many cruises that will be cancelled soon enough. Makes me wonder why there are any listed for May and June at all, but that is a topic for another thread.

They still have Boston to Bermuda on the Gem open for May onward. Could be a lack of available ports in NYC due to the Comfort being in there?

Last time I applied it took a couple weeks to show up on my account. That was about a month or two ago. The time before that it took a couple days.
