I have said he needs to call Carnival. It's Freeport, Bahamas. It looks like Grand Turk is the farthest away.
-
If someone who sails from Baltimore needs to leave the ship when it is in Freeport (after stops at other foreign ports), are they OK or will they be charged under the Jones Act?

The deck plans clearly show a sofabed. That's the triangle in the stateroom.
Two twins that can be pushed together as a "king" (really a "queen") plus one or two in the sofabed. Not too comfy for two adults. I hope that your 3rd and 4th passengers are young children.
They are thanks - 3 and 9.

I haven't posted on here in a long time and I find it takes too long to try to sort thru the posts.
If anyone can tell the way the sleeping arrangements are set up in 10729, which is a boardwalk quad, I would appreciate it.

There was 1 explosion with a second bomb found and defused. This has been happening off and on for the last several years in Russia.
When we were there, we entered the subway system but did not get on the subway. We were down there to see the opulence of the art work and how they do their subway system.

If you can't do your express you will complete the paperwork,at the dock. A pain, but there are lots who do it that way.

You can only change one name on a booking and you would have to do it before the cruise. If you try to change both, you will be repriced do at the current rate because it would be a cancellation and rebooking.

It seems most don't know, but this woman paid zero for this cruise. She won it from her employer so she has nothing coming.

There are a number of folks that signed up for the M&M on Jewel of the Seas Apr 28th Transatlantic and were not given invites in their stateroom; nor had any knowledge of when it was to be held until after the event was over.... I also heard from others who didgo that there weren't even any raffles.
Very disappointed in Guest Services lack of concern attitude when I spoke with them. Of all the 10+ M&Ms I have been to, this is the first time I've seen such disorganization.
I don't know who is responsible for the organization of the party - RCCL or Cruise Critic?
Susan
There were raffles. I won a bottle the of wine.

That's isn't the way it goes. If there are too many D, D+, Pins on a cruise, they will add 3 drinks to their seapass cards to be used during the hours of 5 - 8. This is in a effort to keep the crowd down in the D etc. lounge. It isn't a regular perk as such.
-
I believe they are still providing buy one get one free to D+ (maybe D I don't know). I would like to to know if you can pay the first night and use the free the second night when sailing solo.

It might be the Business model today, but the big question is why is it like this? Why has it as you seem to think changed from the past?
IMO the reason for any Change is us the Society. Today we live in a greedy me, me, me Society where everybody screams for compensation for almost everything and easily threatens to sue.
So what will this do to the businesses? They will be much more careful in what they do as they might Need to have any of their Actions being tested in front of a judge. So they Play By the contract and not do anything else.
You say a drink Coupon would have gone a Long way, maybe it would, but others would still have complained and stated it was not good enough. I.e. OP didn´t ask for a free drink, but 24-hours free Internet. Quite a difference already.
If they always gave away a free drink with every missed port, would it still be a matter of "doing it right By their customers"? Or would it be the expected Thing, still causing dissapointment and asking for the next Thing to make it right?
Next you say it would cost them next to nothing. I don´t agree here. Costs do add up if given to thousands and they´d have to do it for every missed port, which is not a rare occurance unlike stated By the OP.
We all have to accept there is nothing like a freeby in this world. Every extra cost for "give-aways" Needs to be factored into the cruise fare. We will pay for it one way or the other. If having a choice I´d rather have that freeby not built into my cruise fare, but pay for it individually at the time I want it.
Cruising used to be a a luxury vacation with only few wealthy People being able to afford it.
These days it is still a luxury to some, but it´s affordable to a much wider Population. This could only happen with lower Prices, but of course it can´t be the same luxury product anymore either.
It´s not about greedy companies, it´s about a greedy Society.
This is the best post I've ever read on cc.

You can't get it for all 3 but if you book yourself in one and your wife in a second you can get it for those two.

I wasn't aware of any teacher discount. I am a teacher and my husband is a principal. How do we see the price difference with those discounts. I don't remember being asked if I was a teacher when I booked my cruise.
There have never been any teacher discounts.

It will only go to your account as will your daughter's.

Thank you very much.

The 18 day (actually 19 day with the date line) Tahitian Treasures. They usually have a similar itinerary in the opposite direction in the fall (not released yet), but typically this itinerary has one extra stop in Hawaii, not to mention, I'd rather have the longest flight at the beginning rather than at the end. If the fall itinerary ends up being more appealing, we can always switch once they release it.
Which ship

Yes, I agree. My concern is for everyone who had to trudge down the stairs, often one step at a time. Many people had their suitcases with them and it was torture. Then, there was a total bottleneck at the gangway and a fairly long walk to the terminal. It was terrible for the elderly, those with children and those with heavy loads.
So who is the "head honcho," Goldstein or Fain?
It's Michael Bayley now. I'm not sure of his email.
I thought they were doing so much better. Were you at pier 29 by any chance.
-
I have always sent to the head honcho by email and let it work its way down rather than wait for it to work it's way up.
Status should not enter into this issue. Everyone had the same issues.

We are Brits and took a holiday in September 2012 across the American Northwest that included British Columbia and Alberta. We flew into Seattle, as Vancouver was so much more expensive, car hire was 40% more for the same car than in the US. The hotels were also 35-40 % more expensive than the comparible US hotels, eating out again similar higher prices. The Canadian dollar devaluation was long overdue and probably now at a more realistic level to that of other world currencies.
You're kidding right -The cost of the British pound is terrible at $2.12. You get so much more for your money here. More than the greenback. You want high prices, look in your own backyard. I spent Christmas in the U.K. visiting family. The cost was horrendous.
-
Maybe an equally interesting question is how many are currently booking cruises, Canadian or not, given the financial market meltdown.
Maybe, but that's not what this thread is about. The Cdn $$ has tanked against the greenback and really has nothing to do with your question. Suggest you start another thread with that question.

It's usually a sail by date, but you can ask for an extension, however it can only be used by the persons on The original sailing. You can't use it for your kids.
Dining Info please

If you have the dining package as one of the perks, can you pre-book your dinners after checking in? Also can the dining pkg be used for the a la cartes?
thx
