Also, don't forget you really have to compare the costs of cruising with Seabourn versus Princess. Seabourn is much more expensive.
Seabourn is a whole new experience. We have cruised once before on Princess and very much enjoyed it in a balcony. No criticisms at all, I just wanted to clarify what a suite was entitled to.

Thank you for all your replies, you have answered my query perfectly.
-
Okay, Thankyou.
What does it consist of??
-
Hi, we are thinking of booking a suite and see there is a complimentary mini bar set up. What does this consist of, and is it replenished?
We have sailed on Seabourn where you fill in your requirements in the voyage Personaliser and it is replenished when used.
-
The excursions are now on to book 7month before sail date. Great.
-
Thankyou All,
It looks like I shall just have to be patient.
-
Thankyou, we booked quite a way in advance and didn't know when to expect them on.
-
Hi,
How far ahead do the ships excursions become available to book on the Voyage Personaliser? We are booked on V615 in September and I cannot see anything on there as yet.
Thankyou

Excellent video, well done.

If they want to expand the spa serene area I would be ok with that as it does have its fans and doesn't appear to bother anyone else. If they are talking about limiting the new deck 12 to be pay only I am totally against it. We just got off the Odyssey yesterday where I had a discussion with some Seabourn head office people who were on board and they were asking a number of questions about things going forward as well. The Thomas Keller change in which they seem to be making a major commitment to is a concern. Even they recognize the level of commitment they have made to this program. If they are starting to transition to some sort of two tiered system they would most likely lose us as clients.
I totally agree, and think they would lose us also.....sadly.

I think this problem has been around since the booking process on the UK website changed some years ago. I have never been able to search for a specific stateroom since then. The only solution has been to talk to my Personal Cruise Specialist / Voyage Sales at Cunard (or a travel agent I assume), who can check specific staterooms or give a list of available rooms in a particular category (more than the maximum of 8 you can see on the UK website).
Thankyou, a trip to our travel agent is on the cards then.

It looks to me like Cunard's UK web site (cunard.co.uk) may be having issues with the stateroom search function.
I tried searching for a specific stateroom during the booking process on Cunard's US web site (cunard.com) and it worked fine. But when I tried searching for the same stateroom on the same voyage using the UK web site, I received the error message about the cabin number not existing.
I think you've hit it on the head, it's the UK website.
Thankyou
-
I have tried adding the number of a stateroom which they are offering but it still doesn't work.
-
Hi. Whereabouts on Cunard's website does it say "search by stateroom number"?
Hi, when I have added the number of cabins, then the number and names of occupants, at the top of where you choose your stateroom grade. Hope that makes sense.
It looks like this
Your stateroom location Search by stateroom number: Check availability
-
When I search by stateroom number I am getting this response, is it me or is it a fault in their system??
Sorry, the cabin number entered does not exist, please check and try again or browse all cabin styles..
Thankyou

Very informative and interesting read. Thankyou for taking the time to do it.

Victor was on our recent cruise 2nd-12th Sept Sojourn.

Oh! We have been looking forward to our first SB cruise on Sojourn in February. I have high expectations from everything I have read about the cruise line. Guess I'll have to lower those if I see Vitor  is part of our crew. Maybe we will be fortunate and he'll be off ship then!
We have just got off Sojourn and panic not, a wonderful cruise, sit back and enjoy the experience.
-
On a recent 10 day Sojourn cruise one gentleman on elegant casual in the Colonnade wore knee length shorts and a t-shirt, his partner wore short shorts and a see through short length cover up. Everyone else was elegantly casually dressed.
-
We have just returned from Sojourn and saw smokers frequently outside the Square, and a couple of times on the verandah on starboard side. We did not use the observation lounge.
-
We have just disembarked Sojourn and suite 805. There is absolutely no problem whatsoever with the bridge overhang. It doesn't hang over it totally and I estimate this is no more than 6ft at the very most. Why do people make these over exaggerated comments?
-
Pendle witch are you on odyssey ex venice? If so we'll be there!
No, we are on Sojourn. :)
-
PendleWitch, I have to ask, every time I see your name I wonder if we're near neighbours? We live between Chipping and Bashall Eaves.
We used to live near Pendle but now we are between Chorley and Croston. :)

Thankyou for your running commentary, it has made our cruise in just over two weeks come all that bit closer.

We are thinking of booking a suite on either Island or Coral. I have read quite a few comments on being overlooked. Does anyone know if the suites are overlooked?
