Has any adults been granted a medical exemption? We have 2 friends on their own booking sailing on our cruise but 1 of them had an anaphylactic shock after 1st dose and was informed by her doctor she cannot get 2nd dose. She has a doctors note and sent it to RC weeks ago, they keep calling RC to see what her status is and she gets no straight answer other than they are working their way through vaccine status by sailing. We sail at the end of December and everything I read the only peeps they are allowing onboard unvaccinated are kids under 12. Thoughts?

We just got back from Allure on Sunday. We took a taxi to Orient, $25 each way. Easy to get chairs and an umbrella, $20 for 2 chairs & umbrella. 4 or 5 beach bars selling food and drinks. Great day.
Sherri🙂
Will the taxi take 4 people for 25 bucks? or is it 25pp?

As of November 1, COVID tests are no longer required to enter St Maarten for fully vaccinated travelers.
It sounds like all we need is our vaccine card.
From a cruising standpoint from the USA, kids under 12 have to still test anyway before sailing and 12 and older have to be vaxed anyway. So I'm not really sure how this affects cruising. I think this is really geared to people flying in?

Sorry user error, I thought I was quoting the post about Labadee and I couldn’t fix it after I did. I’m better off sticking to FB lol

Where did this information come from about Labadee? We are scheduled to go there in January. If this is the case why have they not just already rearranged itineraries?

Wonder if this will have any effect on the Anthem's return to the USA sailing on November 7th. She's not leaving Southampton until Oct 25th.

Can anyone give an update on the policy for the double loungers at the north star bar? I have read all kinds of who can use them and for fees. Most current I find is 150 a day and a bottle of champagne, I saw another that said for Diamond members only but that info was from last years and most posts say they were always empty. I'm guessing not too many will pay 150 so I'm hoping maybe something has changed recently?

Great review thank you!!! As we sail in less than 3 weeks. Question... I see you spent time in the Solarium, was the age limit enforced during the cruise? How about at sail away if that’s where you were for that time, was it enforced then as well? I have read they relax that rule for sail away.

anyone just off the anthem today? Can you please upload the daily compasses and post?
-
Is the adults only enforced on the Anthem? We sail in 4 weeks and hopefully it is. I do understand for sail away it’s not.

A search of the internet for pictures of the Anthem at Cocoa Cay found very slim pickings. HELP!!!! LETS SEE YOURS!

I have sailed on several of the Jewel class ships, always in a forward suite. I would suggest any of those cabins with the exception of 10500 and 10000. I booked 10500 aboard the Pearl because of the additional cabin space due to the triangular "bump out" feature that supports the bridge directly above the cabin. Yes, having the extra space was nice, however the sun was blocked by the bridge structure above most of the time. Since that time, we have consistently booked 9500 or 9000 on the Pearl, the Jade and upcoming cruise aboard the Gem, and have never regretted that decision.;)
This is great to read as we just upsold today to 9500! :)

We have sailed both the Pride and the Breakaway. Been on the BA twice and would pick the Pride over the BA. Personally we like hanging out pool side in the sun while on board and this is one thing the BA lacks. The main pool deck is very small with lounge chairs actually open to the sun was 40, yes i counted them. Unless you want shade there is more on the main pool deck under the deck above where is where you have to go if you want to be close to the pool and hang in the sun. The Pride has this aspect beat as the pool area is great! As far as the rest of the BA we feel they crammed too much stuff into areas that just makes it feel too congested. This is just our opinion but everyone will have their own outlook on how and what they prefer in a ship. We prefer a 3000 person ship compared to a 5000 person ship

I suspect the cabanas have gone up in price.
Pool cabanas: were $199? Now $249.
Beach cabanas: were $475? Now $499.
In case they fluctuate by sailing, these are for the 11/27 Dawn sailing. If the prices I recall are accurate, maybe they're booking well?
After reading this I just went back and checked our November 20 Jade sailing and yup, they went up since a few days ago

Wonder if it will be Morning make up service or night time turn down service that is being eliminated? Or will each guest have their choice?
