There is a 2020 bear and his name is Percy.  I think there must have been a glut of Percy Bears as 2020 cruises were halted in March of that year.

I think there are NO 2021 bears that were  bred -- am I right?  If there was a 2021, please let me know as our home is always open to Cunard bears searching for just the right family.

There are a lot of Percy bears as he sits on a shelf alongside me in the shop. It’s nice to have the company! There wasn’t a 2021 bear made so you are quite right.

Arthur, I haven't seen an official Cunard photo of you yet. Most of your older brothers had their photos posted on facebook announcing their arrivals. Maybe that will happen in due course since you are now on your way to Alaska.

May I have permission to post your photo on @Oca's "Cunard Teddy Bears" thread? I think we've managed to document most of your lineage with photos on that thread. I'd like to add your photo there to have all the Cunard bear photos in one place (and to revive that thread).

    That’s fine Bluemarble

  3. Thank you Hattie. Castro and Millie have gone to lunch in the Verandah so I’ve been able to borrow! their iPad. I’m on board for quite a while, going to see my cousin, Polar bear, in Alaska and he’s promised to take me out for a fish supper.

  4. Thank you exlondoner - I have to be very careful with all the sanitiser gel that the people delight in smearing on themselves as it plays havoc with my fur. But I try to maintain my fluffiness!

  5. I’m sorry I’m not a Steiff bear but I can assure you that I’m lovely. And I have a lovely hat and gorgeous uniform. While I don’t have a button I’m my ear they have put a very nice label, with my name Commodore Arthur. So I guess I have a higher rating……..

  6. Hello, I’m Arthur, and I’m the 2022 Cunard bear. I look forward to meeting you all when you next board. You’ll find me in the Commodore club most of the time, testing some of the lovely cocktails as I watch the world go by!

11 May Gala - not specified

    15 May Gala - masquerade

18 May Gala - black and white

    26 May Gala - masquerade

    2 June Gala - Roaring 20’s

Reading about the Limelight Club takes me back to the days of the Scampi and Chips in a basket circuit, in the likes of Baileys in Leicester in the mid 70s, watching the likes of the Drifters and Four Tops.

    Anyone else remember those days?

Ah, Baileys in the 70’s……remember seeing Chuck Berry play there. He was great but the setting didn’t really suit him. Halcyon days indeed!

  9. We are writing to give you some important information about your forthcoming voyage on board Queen Elizabeth.

Following the evolving and dynamic situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have been taking advice from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and Public Health England. We have been focused on mitigating the risks to our guests and crew, and are making appropriate adjustments to our operations to protect all on board our ships.

As a result of the above, we are very sorry to advise that Queen Elizabeth’s Asia programme that was due to commence in March has been cancelled and will be replaced with an extended season in Australia. The health and safety of our guests and crew is of utmost importance to us and given the uncertainty in the region, we have had to make this difficult decision, which we hope you understand is due to factors beyond our control.

As Queen Elizabeth will no longer be visiting Asia, your above booking will be cancelled and you will be given a full refund, as well as a future cruise credit worth 25% of your original cruise value. This credit will be automatically applied to your account and you will be able to use this on any Cunard voyage currently on sale, booked before 31 May 2020.

If you have booked flights or any additional packages via a travel agent or third-party tour operator, we advise you to contact them directly. If any arrangements have been booked independently then you should contact your travel insurance provider for details of how to submit a claim.

If you are unable to recover charges incurred due to this unavoidable and unexpected cancellation, we would encourage you to contact us so that this can be discussed further.

Queen Elizabeth’s new extended season in Australia will comprise two six-night Tasmania voyages, two 11-night New Zealand voyages and her first ever 27-night full circumnavigation of Australia. Queen Elizabeth will then sail a 25-night Transpacific crossing from Sydney to Vancouver via New Caledonia, Hawaii, Los Angeles and San Francisco. These voyages will be available to book from Friday 21 February.

Cunard will resume Queen Elizabeth’s Asia programme in September this year as already published. If you wish to use your future cruise credit to book any of our holidays, please contact your travel agent, visit us at www.cunard.co.uk or call us on 03453 550300.

Once again, please accept our apologies and we do hope to see you on board very soon.

    Yours sincerely,

Looks like I’m looking for another holiday!

  10. I had the same issue, you complete all the boxes press submit and nothing appears to happen. The last time I tried I noticed a small box appear and when I clicked on it it gave me the option to allow 'pop ups' from Cunard. Once accepted I tried again and everything worked, brochure completed and printed off. Hope this helps.

  11. I've a nut allergy too and I've dined in Brittania on a number of cruises and they haven't poisoned me yet. On the first evening let your wait staff know and they will get the Head waiter who will talk you through the first evenings options. Thereafter you will get the next day's menus in advance to enable you to make your choices. This will all be prepared for you in a separate area. The great advantage of this is that all your table mates will get a sneak preview of the next day's options!

The only bit that needs care is the chocs they offer with the coffee at the end of the meal and if I had any doubts I tended to dodge these completely.

Hope this helps but if you have any specific questions let me know.
