I looked around and didn't see this....

If I use my FCC on a cruise that has a "non-refundable" deposit and then find that I can't take the cruise (work is shaky right now) - will i get my FCC "returned"?

I want to follow this too...going for the first time next year :)

Depending on airline you may be able to add the paris leg on for low cost and still get baggage.

 

If on a round britain that stops at Le Havre before southampton jump ship and go to paris from there.

That's my plan -- extra day in Paris :D

Ruby will be our home in just a couple days -- and for a couple weeks to and from Hawaii....Happy to hear the ship is wonderful....soooooo excited even more so now!! :D

I had a little problem with that list on the cruise i am going on...I am going with my sister -- I couldn't say DS since that is "son", not sister :D So, I just wrote "sister" :D:D although, she is "dear" to me :D

I was happy to see it would be the Caribbean Princess. Hoping to sail the British Isles next year. I'm happy to see that there is that "in between" price point with the fact there are oceanview cabins....not just a jump from interior to balcony :D

I too wake up around 3-ish....so, this gives me great ideas for my cruise:D

Wonderful review and photos! Made me more excited to be on the Ruby in 30 days for a 2 week cruise to Hawaii!! :)

FYI: Double check on the ability for refunds on deposits....

Basically, call Princess to verify the ship is not at capacity and you have a cabin which can accommodate 3-4 persons....because, even if you have a cabin that can accommodate extra persons, the ship may be at capacity.....

I loved Brett Cave on a cruise on the Dawn....SF round trip to AK....piano player and then did a night time "concert".....great! :D

I get seasick also....but I am fine in the aft area. I have been in the last cabin on both sides of the ship and I did fine....of course, with sea bands and ginger :D

21 more days - short cruise on the Imagination !! And, looking forward to it very much!!

We will be on the CB in Dec of 2014, I want to go back to the CB or Regal in Feb of 2015. Do you think I will get a better deal on board booking or via web?

FYI: A future cruise credit purchased would not help if you're booking that close to the cruise. If they are booking in Dec 2014 for a cruise in Feb 2015, that will be within final payment time and would require full payment not just the deposit. But - for any other cruise later on -- great idea.

I wanna do that!!!!!! Guess i have missed this going to bed early :rolleyes: (up early too)....is it on every princess cruise? Or holiday ones? New Year's Eve??

Anxious to read more....not doing a pre-cruise, but a post-cruise in Paris...this review makes me wish the year away! :D

For those that are thinking of doing a British Isles cruise onboard Royal Princess in 2015 the ship will not directly dock in Dublin like all other cruises to British Isles have done. Royal Princess will dock at Dun Laoghaire and will be a tender port so to get into Dublin city you will have to get the tender then a short train journey into Dublin.

Hi Towncar T -- once again, i have booked the British Isles cruise. I am determined to do it this time!! (Aug 1, 2015) ... This itinerary is better for the time in Liverpool which makes me even happier. The last time, the ship was to arrive at either 4 or 6 am and leave around 2 or 3 pm....this cruise is much better with a more "normal" time of 8am-6pm....so, over the next year, I am sure I will have some questions -- thinking a Beatles tour and "ferry cross the Mersey" and a walk around town! :D:D

Gotta follow you on this cruise -- i'm a previous "IE gal" --grew up in Riverside :D -- Enjoy the cruise and the ports!! :D

I do a 3-prong approach....i too get seasick and this has been working for me: sea bands from day 1 and only take them off for showers :) 2) ginger....take it off / on during the day and 3)....I do bonine (think the same as dramaine)...I take that "when needed"....and always before I board to get into my system....If i know it will be extra bumpy, i take them....

Soooooo ... this is pretty much my regiment and it has been working like a charm :D:D
