I wear a thong when I strength train, as the shorts I usually wear for that don't have a built-in lining and are loose enough in the leg that I could be accidentally flashing my trainer if I had nothing on under them.
Fair enough. My husband has been flashed by a woman doing bench presses before and he was not impressed.

I don't typically wear undies under my workout clothes. All of my running shorts have a built in brief or boy short and my yoga and capri pants have a built in lining so that extra layer isn't necessary.
Am I the only one that cringes at the thought of working out in a thong?

I personally hate them with a passion but to each their own. When I do wear hose, the color is usually black because I don't care for the nude colors since my skin tone is more of a pasty white. I have long legs, and the last time I checked my crotch wasn't at my kneecaps, so thigh highs work best for me.

On our last cruise, we were awakened by the sounds of a dog barking on the day we disembarked. Turns out, the people a few rooms down from us were caught with marijuana so their room and belongs had to be searched before they could get off the ship.

Another vote for the shoes on the left.

Excellent question! I'm looking forward to some getting some good suggestions on this as well. I wear waterproof mascara on a daily basis because my eyes water a lot but it still wears off pretty easily. My lashes are very light so I feel like I look sick without a little bit of help.

You look great, indiana71! I love all of the pictures showing your outfits. So fun! And I think the coverup worked great as a dress. So cute! I love getting dual uses out of a garment.

I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. If the fabric was very light and breathable, I would wear it but if not, I would go with lighter colors instead. I'm not sure what ports you are going to but today, in the Cayman Islands it is suppose to be in the mid 80s.

I would not be caught dead in flats. The heal must be at least 3 in. I have two plates and 10 screws in one leg/foot. I even wore two inch heals the entire 6 months I was in a full leg cast. I would walk out of the house shirtless before I would walk out of the house in flats.
Oh wow! Now that is dedication!
I am not that dedicated. I will wear heels in the evenings for dinner since we will be sitting most of the time, but I'm all about comfort if I'm going to be walking and/or standing a lot. Heels do make your legs and butt look better but sometimes its just not worth it to me! LOL!

Be careful and good luck!

Glad you had a great cruise!

I'm so glad that you had a (mostly) good experience with Carnival and your daughter's GF needs. I have a friend that has a gluten intolerance so I am always on the lookout for GF options.
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's reaction to the face paint. I'm sure it was hard for her to say no when she saw so many other children partaking. I hope it clears up soon!

Congratulations! Have you started packing yet?

I agree with skipping the water. We are big water drinkers and the quality of the water on the ship has never been an issue for us.
I think bagging the sodas and then also wrapping them in a beach towel is an excellent plan. At first I was going to suggest picking up sodas when you get to the port and packing a small duffle bag to put them in, but since you won't have to pay for the extra luggage on the plane, it sounds like you have a good game plan.

I sail out of FT. Lauderdale tomorrow:)......it is supposed to be in
the 80s:D....I am wearing a pair of purple crop pants and a printed top
that has muted tones of purples/lavenders/greens/.......sort of looks
like a water color.....has a high-low hemline, sleevless, v neckline....
I am READY TO CRUISE:D
Sounds perfect! Hope you have a great cruise!

On our last cruise, DH went up to the gym while I lounged by the pool. After an hour had passed and no one had even bothered touching the stuff in the lounger beside me, I politely moved their things so that someone (my DH) could actually use the chair.

I googled embarkation outfit this weekend from my phone when I had some downtime and this picture was one of the first image results! How cool is that?! I love it!

I just found out about this option today. So excited about it!

BTW, can someone explain the reasoning behind only allowing you to use your free drink at brunch?!? I mean, would it kill them to give past guests a free drink - case closed?
The only reason I can come up with, is that by only allowing it for use at brunch, they are banking on a large percentage of the vouchers not being used.
I think you hit the nail on the head! I wish they would give previous guests the option to use it at anytime. I mean, the drink is going to cost them the same amount of money, no matter when you get it...

I parked at the Fulton Garage in April for my cruise. I booked thru Airport Parking because it was less, but you still park in the Fulton Garage. They had someone on a golf cart take our luggage to their bus (which was just right around the corner). The bus took us straight to the terminal. It was very easy.
It says rooftop parking only, but we did not have to park on the roof. It was $8 a day and you can get $5 off with a coupon code. The current one thru May 24 is YEP66. If that is expired just google Airport Parking discount code and you can find another one. If you absolutely want to make sure you are getting covered, they offer a covered rate for a little more, but like I said, we were told to park anywhere. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this tip! That's a significant savings!

Sun protection for fair skinned cruisers

Hopefully wearing extra protective clothing will help. I read an article that said if you aren't applying enough sunscreen, it cuts the SPF number you are using down considerably so be generous. Are you on any photosensitive medications? And also, even if you are taking in enough water, the dehydration feeling may be because of a lack of salt in your body. Just something to consider.
