It's only a space to bring your plate from Windjammer in to. They do not serve lunch.
Oh ok...thanks!

Giovanni's was also open on sea days at end of April, great lunch, Chops was reserved for suite quest for lunch
Is there a charge for suite guest to have lunch in chops?

We are looking to book a cruise on the liberty or carnival breeze out of Galveston. Carnival says the drink package can't be used on cruise from Texas. Until the second day because of regulations. Is this true on the liberty, i've never heard anyone complain about this before on the boards.
Any info would be helpful, thanks
It is my understanding that due to Texas regulations "some" items from the bar will not be avail until the ship is out of Texan waters. So you can still use your package....just a limited selection. I'll find out those limits for the LOS in October [emoji6]

MsLMG, I would love to hear your thoughts on this particular cabin post-trip. I am booked in it next year, and I am wondering about that location dead in the middle of the ship and underneath the pool deck.
Will let you know...getting excited, only 72 days to go!

I redeemed points for OBC a couple of weeks ago and my TA was able to go into the reservation and see it yesterday.
Like your screen name! GO SAINTS![emoji1270]

Visa points OBC is refundable.
You can use OBC to tip crewmembers. Just go to Guest Services and they have a form you can fill out to allocate extra tips to crewmembers.
Somehow I knew you would know!! [emoji847] thanks so much.

I normally get a confirmation email when I redeem points.
Another option is to ask whoever booked your cruise for Royal's Guest Copy of your booking confirmation. This will also show the Visa points OBC.
We have also redeemed points for OBC.... Our first time doing this.... My question, is this refundable or non-refundable OBC? Also, is there a way to use OBC for "extra" tips for room steward or concierge?
Would love to know how much I have to spend from day one [emoji4]

We had the same experience aboard the Rhapsody when it was cruising Alaska several years ago.... We had always loved RCI but that crew was the best we had ever experienced. We are looking forward to sailing Liberty in October [emoji4]

On Royal there are 3 distinct categories of suites and related benefits. Priced accordingly.

Unfortunately those perks are limited to a couple of the largest vessels. The rest of the fleet still has the old benefits.

I've never had any complaints about RCL bedding, is Liberty different from the rest?
I think bedding is very subjective....we have had a tempurpedic mattress for about 5 years now so we tend to find most beds hard when we travel.
I have read a lot of others commenting on the firmness of the beds though. So I'm not alone. We sailed NCL Pride of America 2 years ago and the bed was very comfortable. I was quite surprised.

Besides sleeping comfortably, you are protecting yourselves from the bed bug nightmare we are dealing with! I think bringing your own is smart for multiple reasons!
Do you know if there were foam toppers on your kids beds?

Good idea! Do you get the king or queen?
It's a shame their beds are so hard. Last year my parents had a hard time because there were no foam toppers avail....so I decided to do it myself.
I bought king size. Ships beds are an odd size. I just pack round tip "school" scissors to cut it to size.
As soon as I got it I stuffed it into a large duffle bag and put it in the closet. All I have to do is attach a luggage tag. At the end of the cruise they can do what they want with it.
Make sure you buy regular foam...not memory foam. The memory foam is more expensive and has a terrible odor to it that takes about a week of airing out to disappear.

I know many will think I'm crazy but we will be bringing our own topper, $40 at Walmart... 3 in thick. I just tack it on to the cost of cruising. My hip and back cannot survive 7 days on one of their mattresses. I love RCI....but I hate their beds.

Enjoy your cruise too! This is also out favorite itinerary...helps that it's only an hour by car to the port. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Is there a charge for suite guest to do these tours? We will be in a GS this October on Liberty (first time) and I know DH would love to see the bridge.
