We have the same question 6 years later. How was it?

We did a 3 day pre-cruise in Paris with Viking River and it was fantastic especially the hotel location which is in the heart of everything. Yes, Paris is about art and food. The French really know their cooking. With the hotel's recommendation, we were able to dine at two top Michelin star restaurants which totally blew us away. We visited all the main attractions except Notre Dame Cathedral because it was burned down. The one place we thoroughly enjoyed was the Eiffel Tower going up in elevator and coming down by stairs. A word of caution based on our experience ... not all French people speak English even in the heart of Paris. Same with Air France in the Charles de Gaulle Paris airport. We were absolutely shocked some of the staff at the Air France gate counter didn't speak a word of English or maybe they refused to speak English. Good luck.
Did you do the standard or premium extension? Was it worth doing? What hotel did you stay at?

Thanks. We just booked this cruise for next year!

Are the excursions bus ride away from the ship or can you walk to the towns?
-
Sounds perfect!

What did you think of it? Do you need to book in advance?

Without a lot of specifics, I was told that dining choices have changed radically in main dining room. Can you please share your experiences about dining in the last few months?

Thank you!

My advice for any time in Barbados is to go to The Boatyard, all inclusive, get there as early as you can the place fills up fast. A 20 minute taxi ride. Best bang for your buck !
Do you book in advance?

We were there on March 20th. We took a taxi from inside the port to get over to Carlisle Bay. There were plenty of people that were walking out of the pier area so it seemed to be allowed.
Is it easy to get taxi back to the port?

How do you book this excursion?

I am not familiar with Vroom. What is it?

We are traveling with another family and would like to use our cell phones occasionally to text each other. Basically just to figure out where to meet up.Tmobile says that texting aboard our ship (Oasis of the Seas) would be 50 cents per text which is WAY cheaper than buying an internet package. I was wondering about quality while the ship is at sea. Has anyone used it? Does it work?

You are correct, he does prefer the front seat. I didn't even think about that for the minibus, so that is a great idea. Thank you!
I am also not thrilled with the ship dates in Bermuda, but I am just focusing on the positive, which is that I get to go at all! I wish Celebrity had a free ferry to St. George like NCL, it would make my life much easier as I'd love to there on Saturday, and visit the Crystal Caves. As it stands, I will just take the ferry to Hamilton and then a bus or taxi. Fingers crossed!
Anyway, thank you so much for your responses to me and everyone else. I have been reading as many old posts as I can to get ideas. 🙂 Have a nice day!
We always buy the travel pass when we go to Bermuda. It gives you unlimited transportation while you are there. I recommend taking the ferry directly to St George using the travel pass. It is much quicker than the bus a very nice ride.

This may be a little late, but I was wondering which nights were the formal nights on your first cruise (Rome, Sicily, Malta, Greece). How dressed up were people?
-
Are there any attractions, other than pools and beach for my grandsons besides the water park? I am wondering if we have to buy the passes for them to have a great time.

Was the taxi $42 one way? How many people fit?
-
How dressed up do most people get? Do most men wear jackets? How many dress up nights?
-
Not until September next year. I contacted PK. They immediately answered. Thanks for the info.

Thanks. When do you go to Greece?
